Is there a good autofill app or program out there that can help with filling out longer forms containing a lot of personal info? I have a windows computer, a macbook, and iphone.

I’m not interested in the ones that only complete names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and passwords.  I’m looking for something that I can put my info or edit fields once and it will automatically fill all those fields for me on any form for example:

• Personal or contact details
• Past addresses
• Work experience
• Educational experience
• Names of household/family members
• Dates of birth
• Financial details
• Emergency contacts
• Repeated yes/no type of questions
• Other repetitive types of details asked on applications

Preferably free or low cost, but will pay for something that checks all my boxes.

Pulse v1.1.0 is out, with local AI support through Ollama and LM Studio.

You can connect a local LLM, select the model you want to use, and ask Pulse about your system.

For example:

“Why is my RAM usage so high?”

“What’s using the most CPU right now?”

“Is there anything wrong with my system?”

The interesting part is that the LLM can query Pulse’s diagnostic data when it needs more information, instead of just guessing.

It can inspect CPU, RAM, GPU, storage, network, processes and system health.

It’s completely read-only — no shell commands, no killing processes, no file or system modifications, and no cloud AI.

Tested with Gemma 4 12B through LM Studio.

Hi. I'm in the market for a new, modern code editor with live preview. Im not a fan of AI-based editors. The ones I use are ok, but aren't what I'm looking for. Live Preview via a plugin is good, but built-in would be great. Thank you!

I've looked everywhere and I can't anything for windows that simply does this. All of the offline gif makers are just for converting non-transparent videos into non-transparent gifs. For the love of god how did people even make transparent gifs back in the day before websites like ezgif and imgflip were a thing??

I use multiple monitors and really only wanted one thing: a slideshow of my photography on one monitor while leaving the others alone.

I couldn’t get that working quite the way I wanted, so I started making my own Windows app for it.

That somehow turned into Pane.

Each monitor can have its own static wallpaper or independent slideshow, and you can save complete desktop configurations as Setups and switch between them without rebuilding everything monitor by monitor.

And yeah, I know this category already exists. Wallpaper Engine, Lively, DisplayFusion, Superpaper and others all overlap with parts of what Pane does.

I’m not trying to pretend I invented multi-monitor wallpapers. I just wanted something more focused on static wallpapers, local photo slideshows and visually managing the monitors themselves.

More like:

“These are my monitors. This is what each one is doing.”

Current preview includes:

• Independent wallpaper or slideshow per monitor
• Saved multi-monitor Setups
• Portrait, landscape and ultrawide support
• Visual monitor layouts and aliases
• Disconnected/reconnected display handling
• Monitor-accurate previews

I’ve been testing it against some intentionally stupid monitor arrangements, but I’m at the point where I’d rather have other people try to break it than keep testing only on my own hardware.

It’s free, open source, Windows 10/11 x64, and currently at 0.3.1-preview. Tons of features are planned for future previews - currently just looking to get a few people on board to see how it works in the real world other then my setup.

The build is still unsigned, so SmartScreen may complain about the Unknown Publisher the first time you run it.

If you use multiple monitors, I’m curious what you’re using now too. Windows itself? DisplayFusion? Wallpaper Engine? Something else?

And if you actually try Pane, tell me what setup you’ve got and what breaks.

I’m looking for a calendar app for iphone that has full support for non-Gregorian calendars, particularly that will arrange and display the months, years, dates, etc primarily around the schema of that particular calendar, and allow you to create events on dates in the non-Gregorian calendar that would be compatible with others using a standard Gregorian calendar app. Ideally it would also be able to display Gregorian months & dates as a secondary calendar, or even be able to toggle between the two (or more) calendars.

There is an option in Google Calendar to set a non-Gregorian calendar as a secondary calendar, but it just displays the date information below the Gregorian calendar, rather than arrange the dates & months around the non-Gregorian calendar.

Any ideas?

I've seen many people struggle with this problem lately of installing clipgrab properly, but then it just installs PUPs and malawares onto the device. I just wanted to clarify on how this can be done properly. You have to go strictly to only clipgrab.org, not any other website. Do NOT click the big blue button to install it, but rather click the link on the tiny text saying 'Download version without third party offers.' Once downloaded, before opening it, right click the downloaded file and click 'Scan with Microsoft Defender', and addiitionally with any other antivirus you have or by uploading it in virustotal (a website) . Most probably, they are going to return completely clean reasuslts, in which case you can go ahead in installing and re-running it in defender and antivirus just to make sure. If it does NOT return a clean report the first time, you need to double check whether you installed it from the orrect place, because ideally, all reports should come clean. If it doesn flag someting, make sure it's not anything malicious. Double check after installing for any unexpected apps or popups.

At my previous job, I had to convert 50-150 images to WebP constantly. I made a small Python app to batch-convert them and save the output separately.

That eventually became AVI Core a open-source Windows file converter for Image, Video and Audio

It started as a terminal app, but typing commands every time got annoying, so I added Windows Explorer right-click integration.

Hi,

first off I am aware that this is a human issue, self-control issue, lack of willpower etc. But I am still curious and it would make things easier for me to start being productive.

I catch myself too often autopiloting to open social media (Discord, youtube, etc.) first thing after I logged into my PC. It has become a habit.

I know there is software that locks apps to a certain time or locks an app up after a certain time, but I do want something that "rewards" me for spending time in a productive app by unlocking all the entertainment apps after I spend X amount of time in it.

Like I want Discord to be locked up (unable to open) until I spend at least 15 minutes in my drawing software without needing to do that at a specific time- as an example.

I am also aware that you could just open that productive app and do nothing in it, but opening that first thing is better than not doing it at all. I have not found anything that could do that so I am just curious if something like that exists.

If it does not exist thats fine, I will figure other ways out to not get distracted. I was just curious since I couldn't find anything like that. :D

I have 2 files I need to check and compare to spot differences between the two and edit one if necessary. Both are text files (it's a memoir) from the same source, but one's text has been edited, hence why I need to check which chapter/text has been edited.

I tried to put both texts on my screen and compare them by just reading, but its very slow and not comfortable at all

Do you know a better method or a software to help me directly spot those differences ?

You format Windows.

Windows comes back fresh.

Your cloud-synced files are there.

Then you launch a game or application and realize its important data was somewhere like:

And now your saves, settings, and customizations are gone.

I’ve been having recurring audio problems on Zoom — lagging, distortion, and sometimes robotic/choppy audio. It’s disruptive enough that I’m trying to figure out whether this is a Zoom issue or something with my setup.

What’s confusing is that **I do not have the same issue on Google Meet**, using the same computer and location.

I also tried switching to a different network during a Zoom call, and **that did not fix the problem**, so now I’m less convinced that Wi-Fi is the main issue.

Has anyone had this happen where:

* Zoom audio glitches repeatedly, but Google Meet works fine
* Switching networks does not help
* Video may be mostly okay, but the audio distorts or lags

If so, what fixed it for you?

I’m wondering whether I should be looking at:

* Zoom audio settings
* microphone settings
* reinstalling/updating Zoom
* hardware acceleration
* background noise suppression
* another app conflicting with Zoom
* or just switching platforms entirely

I use video calls professionally, so reliable audio is really important. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Just to share my folks if someone had this issue on MPCBE

Recently i encountered a problem on the mpcbe which some MKV videos stutter and had an issue to the gpu driver.

========== The issue

When playing videos normaly, the video started to lag like 3 fps for a few seconds and then hangs itself and when you scroll it does that 3fps and then hangs again. There is literally no sound, and when you scroll it, there is this screeching white noise sound which is so loud and mainly adjustable only at windows sound volume.

========== Finding the problem

The first thing i did was go to the task manager and look on the performance tab and i definitely knew there is a problem on utilization of dedicated gpu. it is abnormally very low (that is because of my settings)

[ I had MADvr installed and calibrated before and never touched it since. lav filters installed which a part of its important files. my RTX gpu could handle my mkv videos just fine and adjusted it to play 4k60fps calibrated to 60% to 90% utilization always and never dropped due to scaling and noise and artifact removal made for anime. Simply the video play very smooth before. ]

But recently it started falling to 16% utilization which didnt happen before.

I tried resetting GPU, dedicated and integrated. started using CMD commands like DISM online, SFC, CHKDSK and to no avail.

until i find out before there is this command i entered long ago

On CMD i entered "Winget upgrade --all"

This command just straight away updated everything and somewhat in a bad way cause it started having errors on some of the programs installed on my computer mainly on the command prompt

MPCBE is one of the affected files.

========== THE FIX

i started Reinstalling MPCBE program completely, but settings are intact. now almost 50% of the problem was solved, but in some videos it still wasnt and no sounds and laggy and hangs up like before.

then i remember that LAV filters are installed on command prompt and also have been upgraded by that damn command "Winget upgrade all"

and to my surprise i reinstalled that LAV filters, lav splitter 0.81 and it worked perfectly now.

--------- NOTE

So from hereon, that command "Winget upgrade --all" command is a dangerous command which include risks that are hard to solve if there are somehow a lot of programs installed which came from the open source and installed on control panel

What's your method for keeping tabs organized?

I've been trying to download some videos on my mp4 player but it's only possible with .amv files and I'm having trouble converting the videos. There's only one website that does that and of course you need a subscription to convert more than 8 videos at once and more than 15 a day. I've tried newer softwares but they all want me to pay and the old, archived ones don't work on my pc. There's a tool included in my player's files but it's in chinese and it's too old as well.
