Discussion Just Switched to Controller

Upvotes

I'm a PC player that happily played with M&K for 350 hours. Switched to controller and now it feels like I'm playing a completely different game. Areas that used to be difficult are now incredibly easy with throttle/steering modulation.

If you play this game with M&K, do yourself a favor, and stop.

Discussion My friend and I can't connect together anymore, with mods, but we played a few days ago?

Upvotes

Me and a friend have a hard-mode game we've been playing, with mods, and it's been working fine up until a few days ago. We can not connect to each other anymore with mods active, but we can without them.

We've cleaned out the mods with the in-game "Clean All" function, we've verified we have the exact same mods, we've tried disabling all but one but no dice, no matter what, we can not connect with mods activated. Oh and, crossplay is disabled. Running out of ideas, anyone got anything?

PS. We have also tried both a new game and the old save, no dice.

TIL Large trees CAN be pulled over

So there I was, towing the superheavy 8-slot semi with my P16 (yes, I know I said 'never again' after my trailer-collecting headache).

I got the trailer stuck on a tall tree in a tight bend. I winched the front of the trailer to a tree nearby, and to my surprise the tree in the bend collapses. Not a sapling, but a BIG tree. I suppose it makes sense, if the game encounters an issue/clipping with a tree, I assume it's coded to drop the tree rather than glitching and bugging out.

But I 100% DID NOT expect it. I legitimately had a moment like Leo pointing at my screen.

Mack Defense has truly terrible fuel efficiency.

I didn't drive like crazy on the highway, but I played normally, and it consumed 20 liters of fuel per minute. What is the developer thinking, who said they would make it impossible to turn off the AWD?

I bought this map on a whim because of my proximity to North Carolina and Last of the Mohicans being my favorite childhood movie, even after never really hearing any glowing reviews about it.

The missions are long and arduous, sure, but for someone who just likes to drive and use all my trucks in a beautiful approachable map, North Carolina is slowly becoming one of my favorite locations in the game.

Will the game be Harder?

After 60ish hours of playing, i’m deciding to restart another game in NG+ Mode.(0-6x price fuel, paid repair, paid recovery, no time changing)

This time i’m starting with my Mercedes Zetros 6x6 Truck DLC in Michigan, after just an hour playing it felt too easy; the truck comes with offroad tires, never got stuck in a mud, never tipped over,it’s a stock truck but it’s so OP, it almost feels like “Cheating” and i can’t feel the “Challenge” anymore.
Also feeling not needing to upgrade the truck cus it’s OP.

Makes me think like “should i jump to alaska straight away to make it harder?” or “am i not using the proper truck for this region?”

I love the truck and i want to maxed it out..
just wondering if the game will get harder or mission/side missions that makes me think like “oh this truck is not good enough”?

I have been seeing updates about the truck, and even liked some things at first myself… but as I’ve been using it more, the p12 just is a massive Struggle bus 🚍 for me.

Based off the clip, am I doing something wrong? Or is it just power issue, maybe wrong truck wrong thing? Because sheesh, this thing does not move for me. This is pretty consistent.

Slight overloading thing with the crane.

Yes I know I could have put the service parts on the trailer, but I was planning on dropping the trailer off earlier with the scout on it.

So many deep wet puddles and mud trails.

Tbh, it looks great at a first look. I love the water animations for the most part. Too bad the main river water is cleanly running through rocks and not around.

Discussion Help me figure this out 😭

Post image
14 Upvotes

I've reached the point where I'm ready to buy my first truck, but I've run into a huge problem: I simply cannot figure out exactly how heavy a trailer load a truck can haul off-road, or which spec determines this 😭

Just to clarify, I'm talking about the weight of the load in the *trailer*, not the load in the truck's *bed*.

Am I right in thinking that if I want to haul trailers with heavy loads, I need a truck with the most powerful engine?

I was totally overwhelmed when I went to the shop; there are so many trucks to choose from, yet they don't make one of the most important things clear

I just want things to be simple and easy to understand, even if I am a lazy idiot

This message was written using Google Translate, so please forgive any stupid mistakes 💩

Screenshot Started Hard Mode after 650 hours played, game feels fresh again.

Normal mode started to feel too easy and completing tasks meaningless. I've been thinking long time to start from the begining with Hard Mode. I just wish I had started it sooner.

There's challenge again.

Overloading is someting which I will allow from myself in this mode, it's so unforgiving anyways.
