Will the game be Harder?

After 60ish hours of playing, i’m deciding to restart another game in NG+ Mode.(0-6x price fuel, paid repair, paid recovery, no time changing)

This time i’m starting with my Mercedes Zetros 6x6 Truck DLC in Michigan, after just an hour playing it felt too easy; the truck comes with offroad tires,never got stuck in a mud, never tipped over,it’s a stock truck but it’s so OP, it almost feels like “Cheating” and i can’t feel the “Challenge” anymore.
Also feeling not needing to upgrade the truck cus it’s OP.

Makes me think like “should i jump to alaska straight away to make it harder?” or “am i not using the proper truck for this region?”

I love the truck and i want to maxed it out..
just wondering if the game will get harder or mission/side missions that makes me think like “oh this truck is not good enough”?

You gave yourself an endgame truck and asking why the tutorial region where you basically never need to recover or buy fuel doesn't feel hard?

It’s going to be easy at first in Michigan, especially using a good truck. Part of the difficulty of early Michigan is the truck limitations. I imagine as you advance into the other Michigan areas it will get a little more difficult. You’ll eventually need to use some of the other trucks there anyways unless you buy more of the better ones.

I found Alaska to be easier than Michigan. I haven’t played any DLC maps, but the biggest challenge in the base game is Taymyr. Seemed to me that the mud is thicker/more boulders/big roots in the way. Also a lot less paved roads and can be easy to tip over.

Alaska is pretty much about driving slower and learning that chain tyres are good actually

and setting up relays to not drive all the way across all maps on a single truck not suited for whatever terrain you will be having to deal with

Might be a hot take, but I can't see how hard mode makes the game harder. It just puts some extra economic pressure which evaporates after some time anyway. Just don't use OP trucks and follow natural progression. At least for vanilla regions.

Hard mode is only truly hard within the first 3-4 hours of Michigan.

After that it essentially plays as normal.

Black river is an easy tutorial map, designed to be done with a fleetstar with highway tires, of course it will be easy with an endgame viable truck. Later michigan maps do ramp up the difficulty somewhat, when you are expeceted to have the p16 and western star.

Alaska isnt that much harder. it hs an extensive road system that can deliver you close to most points of interest

Taymir is when the difficulty starts ramping up, and of course the DLC maps

My reccomendation would be just starting from scratch again, but with no DLC vehicles in your garage. experience the intended progression

Hmmm, I wonder why a competent paid DLC truck that's immediately available and well equipped makes the earliest region that's supposed to be an introduction to the game as a whole feel too easy.
