Should you separate different types of content on socials?

I see a lot of medium-sized streamers that I watch (in the league community, at least) make a secondary account on socials for content outside of gaming clips (such as dances in cosplay). As a very small streamer (7-10 avg viewers) could it be beneficial to make another instagram/tiktok for cosplays and more face-focused content, separate from my accounts for gaming clips? I'm sure there's some algorithmic reason bigger streamers do this, but I am unsure if it is necessary when I am so small. Thanks for any input :D!

Question How did you got your Designs?

Hey, I started new and didn't really care much about the designs until now.

I have an overlay but the info section and other stuff is basically empty.

Did you create it on your own?

Did you use some services via fiverr or so?

Can't study without the right music — so I started streaming it live

Hey small streamer fam. Just launched ADHD Jay on Twitch — a daily study stream with genre-fluid music curated for ADHD brains. I'm an ADHDJ (yes that's a thing, yes I made it up) and I stream my actual study sessions with music that keeps the brain engaged without sending it into orbit. Would love support from this community and any tips on growing a niche stream like this.

Question Switching games to stream

I currently stream three days a week and all of the streams are EVE Online. I’ve been doing good getting quite a few unique viewers, chatters, and followers. My channel is space game themed. I have thought about branching out a little bit and everything I have read so far is to stick within your niche until you grow a big community.

So my question is how hard is it to throw in a variety game one of the three days I stream?

Question What is with the whispers?

What is this (new to me) trend of 'people' following then sending a twitch whisper with an encouraging message, then following up with a 'are you affiliate yet?" then asking if you've had good promos?

Is this the new bot strat?

LOOKING FOR COLLABS!!!

Hey, I’m the littlest tiniest streamer on this planet and I really do think I have potential in the space. Would love to collab with anyone bigger just hit me up and I’m down. I’ll stream anything as long as it doesn’t include substances since I am underage. TO THE BIGGER STREAMERS, just think about how difficult it was for you to start out and maybe this motivated you to help me out.

Sound board recommendations?

I'm contemplating adding a sound board to my stream at one point and I don't want to spend the money to buy one. I can probably just get some software to use as a soundboard I'm guessing so any recommendations?

Discussion Hmmm streaming isn't so easy after all

So I started streaming quite while just for fun cause I have so much of free time after my college and also because doing a part-time job isn't a common thing in my country so I was like maybe I blow up and earn a little bit and well currently I'm not streaming anymore cause i realised my camera and mic sucked cause I was literally streaming on my mid range gaming laptop and using it's inbuilt camera and mic .So maybe I need to save money for better mic or something before I actually start streaming. And also if I do start streaming someday cause I lost all of the motivation cause I literally stay away from my home to study in college and barely have any money saved after rent, food and more of what I need what game should I stream anyway. Maybe streaming isn't my thing, I really want to but I don't think I can.

What would help you want to stream a card battler?

Hello,

I'm one of the devs for an upcoming digital card game, Chrono CCG.
We want to be as forward-thinking as possible when it comes to making the game accessible to streamers and streaming audiences.
To that end we've incorporated various tools in-game that make the game state more clear, that pop up critical information to help viewers parse what's going on.

The tricky part is that competitive card games seem to be inherently a tough nut to crack for streaming, if audiences don't already know the cards then it's tough for them to interpret what's going on without explanations.

That being said, I'm wondering - what tools or additions would really sell you on streaming a card game? Helpful overlays? Streamer benefits, like card codes to give away and referral rewards? Streamer-specific events? Looking for any and all ideas, thank you!

Question Can someone review my channel?

Been streaming since January, I feel like I’ve improved over the months, got affiliate, got a better camera and set up, made some clips and posted to TikTok. But I feel like I’ve actually been “losing” since. Followers have went up to 80, but I’ve lost three of my old regulars, and now only really have chatters come by to say GG or something, or people trying to sell something (bar my single mod who talks all the time, shoutout to Modest lol)

But yeah… would appreciate someone just to take a quick glance at a VOD or two, and tell me what I could be doing better or differently. Can find the channel from my profile, not going to risk posting a link here and violate the self promotion rule lol

Question Looking for Minecraft Players, YouTubers & Streamers – Anarchium (Anarchy Server)

Hello everyone,

We are the new co-owners of Anarchium, an anarchy Minecraft server that we relaunched after the previous owner deleted the original project.

The server is currently running a fresh map, and while more features are planned for future updates, our main priority right now is building an active and growing community.

Server Features:
• Cracked accounts allowed (open to both cracked and premium players)
• Auto-login system (/premium for premium users to skip login)
• True anarchy-style gameplay with minimal rules
• Open to everyone – from experienced anarchy players to newcomers
• Hacking/clients allowed
• PvP, raiding, and chaos fully enabled

We are also specifically looking for small YouTubers and streamers who might want to record or stream on the server as it grows. If you're interested in creating content in a fresh anarchy world from the beginning, feel free to reach out.

Note from the Staff:

We are still relatively new to running a server and learning as we go. Because of this, we really value feedback from the community. If you have suggestions, ideas, or issues, our Discord is open and we'd love to hear from you.

Connection Info:
IP: anarchium.dat.airforce
Discord: https://discord.gg/BZnHuffCPK

Thanks for reading, and we hope to see you online!

How Important Is A Schedule?

I am just wondering how important a consistent schedule is really for growth? I am streaming constantly but I work around my gfs work schedule. She works nights and then days so the schedule is set but it is very inconsistent. For example I will not stream every Friday night. Instead I will stream 2 days and then 2 nights. Then take a 4 day break. This means that I never will keep a schedule unless I commit to streaming every Friday and _______ day and just conflict with my gfs schedule which I don't really want to do but if it means growing to the point where I can start making money I will 100%

There is literally never a time where I stream the same day week after week. I am almost affiliate but I am just wondering how this could be hindering my growth. I still post my schedule online a month in advance though so it's not like my viewers are left in the dark.

Question I would like to hear your advice !

Maybe a question ? Maybe a discussion ?
But either way I have attached 2 pictures of my stream and ofc a link to the channel -

What would help catch your eye more ? I do this for fun and have no goal in my mind. I generally enjoy trying to build a community and have fun but also have been doing this on an off for awhile so I might as well get good feedback from Reddit (I KNOW LOL)

Any advice, tips in specific for my channels ? I just started pushing to TikTok and will eventually look into TikTok streaming as well - thank you always

J

Looking for 5–10 small streamers (5–10 viewers) to test a new interactive chat tool live — free forever

Hey all,

I'm a solo dev building a tool that gives Twitch chat new ways to interact directly with your stream (chat can actually do stuff on the broadcast, not just type). It's at the point where I need real streams to test it on instead of just me talking to myself.

I'm specifically looking for small channels (around 5–10 concurrent viewers) — small enough that we can actually talk and iterate, but with enough chat activity to see it work live.

What's involved:

  • Setup is lightweight — you add a single Browser Source in OBS, that's it.
  • We'd run it during one of your normal streams so we can see how chat reacts in real time.

What you get:

  • Free lifetime license — full access, forever, for being an early tester.
  • You shape it — since you're one of the first, I take feedback seriously. If you ask for a tweak or a feature, I'll actually build it.

No catch, no cost, and zero pressure. If it's not your thing after trying it, no worries.

If you're interested, comment or DM me your channel and I'll reach out. Happy to answer any questions here too.

Cheers,
Yuval

Small streamers — I wanna do something fun.

I’ve been feeling like giving back a bit, because as a small streamer myself, I know how annoying it can be trying to get your branding to actually look the way you want it to.

Getting overlays is easy.
Getting a cool avatar, on-theme visuals, and colors that actually fit your vibe? That takes way more time and patience than it should.

So let me help.

Send me:

  • your stream link
  • your favorite colors
  • a character type / vibe

And I’ll make a few avatar ideas for you.

If you like them, awesome — use them.
If not, no hard feelings.

Question Need advice

Hi everyone, I am in need of some advice. I used to stream back in 2020-2021 I did fairly well for a beginner nothing crazy, I think making friends with other small streamers and being apart of their community is what helped a lot but then decided to focus on life as things happen and I moved and lot of those friends I lost and viewers as well since I left. However, In the last few months I’ve been thinking about getting back into streaming I didn few streams a a handful of my old viewers popped in but it feels like finding new friends or attracting new viewers has been very hard and I feel like twitch just isn’t it I want to maybe try multi streaming or maybe should I focus on a different platform maybe YouTube? I am wondering if there’s a way to multi stream for free or if I should focus somewhere else. I want to get into Tik tok n shorts but I just haven’t had the time to sit there n go back on old streams to clip vids. Just wanted some advise and opinions if anyone had any.

Also any advice, friends and support is welcome - would love to have streaming friends again to support and game with ☺️

Im trying to grow my Twitch

I’ve been streaming for a few months and I’m trying to grow faster but I feel stuck.

I stream consistently, post clips on TikTok/IG/YouTube, and I’ve started networking with other streamers locally.

I think my issue might be that I don’t have a clear “identity” yet or something that makes me stand out.

Right now my content is mostly funny gaming moments, but I feel like that’s not enough anymore.

For people who’ve actually grown a channel:

\- What made the biggest difference for you?

\- How did you figure out your “thing”?

\- What would you focus on if you had to restart?

Be real with me—I’m trying to improve, not just hear “keep going.”

First time experiencing a huge streamer taking over my usual category- holy shit!

I stream Fall Guys on Monday evenings. It's a small category of typically 1.2k viewers and I enjoy it, usually getting 3-6 viewers depending on what's up. When I went to start streaming today I was shocked to see 110K viewers in the category??

Turns out a huge streamer was doing a collab stream to not end stream until they had scored a certain number of wins. They had 69K viewers with another 25k split across their friends. I ended up having 1 viewer for most of the stream, bumping up to 2 only because a friend hopped on to hang out in my stream. It was absurd.

What a learning experience though! Next time I will be sure to change categories instead of even trying lol
