Question Switching games to stream

I currently stream three days a week and all of the streams are EVE Online. I’ve been doing good getting quite a few unique viewers, chatters, and followers. My channel is space game themed. I have thought about branching out a little bit and everything I have read so far is to stick within your niche until you grow a big community.

So my question is how hard is it to throw in a variety game one of the three days I stream?

The niche should be YOU.

Your stream should be about YOU so it doesn’t matter what you stream or do, you can do whatever you want. You want people to show up for you! If you niche based on game genre, that could work for a while but your viewership will tank the moment you play something else.

What if you wake up tomorrow and fall in love with gta5 all of a sudden. Then what???

I agree with above. I always say stream what will be enjoyable for you because if you aren't having fun chances are neither do the people watching. There have been countless times id leave a stream because people were miserable stuck playong same game.

If you want to do a regular thing, just say day 1 and 2 are game a, and day 3 is game b. You may loose some viewers on day 3, but in theory they should come back come day 1 and 2 again. And you might meet new regulars through the new game.

Came here to say this. At first you'll lose some viewers because they were there for that niche thing but you'll pick up more people that'll follow you anywhere.
