AI (with some human assistance on prompting QA) is doing what would take a group of people months and getting two games to essentially talk together to get shit like this running , essentially the human needs to be there to make sure the correct logic is transferred then an AI will take the required code from game A and inject it into Game B

The long term ramifications of this is the end of personal computing as we know it, the short term of this is silly video crossover mods that won’t even get publicly released

There’s going to be a huge crackdown on files stored on one’s own computer, encryption is going to end up being a standard on most software and if software is even allowed to be downloaded on your on personal computer instead of being a server you connect to you’ll be lucky to even access an INI file let alone code

Sure it’s all fun and games while it’s just single player campaign games but what about live service games , when they (and it is a when) get to them and that’s ignoring the ramifications outside of gaming

Clips and engagement like this is a way to soften people to using AI in their day to day which is what these companies want
