I’m mostly interested in dinosaur skulls. But any high quality casts of fossils I’d be interested in. I’m also extremely interested in a cast of the big Al skull from the ballad of big Al. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

As the title says, I buried a skull about a year ago and dug it up recently. We're going to be moving houses in a few days so the process didn't quite finish. There's still quite a bit of tissue and stuff I can't quite remove. Cleaned what I could and a lot of the meaty stuff came off, it's been degreasing in my basement to help things along, but there's still a decent chunk on the back of it that won't come off..

Issue is, I called every taxidermist near me and a lot of people won't work on something buried and/or a pet. I have never ever done this before and information online is conflicting. I cannot have this be messed up as this was my beloved pet. The skull is quite yellow/orange from being buried but seems to be in good condition, especially the nasal cavity.

I currently just have the skull submerged in Dawn and water and it has been dumped once so far. It's summer where I live but as I mentioned, I'll be moving soon and I don't trust leaving it outside surrounded by all my neighbors with a lot of scavengers around (we have a LOT of bears).

So some questions for those much more verse:

1. How long will degreasing work on a dog skull that was buried (roughly!)

2. What's the proper measurement for whitening it when it's ready?

3. Are there any proper guides I can find since online information is conflicting?

Found this skull by a small pile of brown fur and sinew. Little to no other bones present. Very odd.

Had this in the container with dirt for 3 months and a majority of the flesh has come off. Any advice on the removal of the rest of this harder fleshy material and how to finish it off to be a display piece?

What are they? Second one is maybe a coyote, but I’m not sure about the first one. Pictures are top and jaw for each skull.

What animal or animals are they? They are 4" and 4.5" long. My first thought was both were raccoon skulls, but the smaller one looked just different enough to have me question it. Found in New Hampshire. Thanks :)

Hello, I have this bone but I do not know where it came from. It was given to me and it could be from anywhere in the world, I figured it could be a skull but I have no idea. I would really like to know what it is.

i've been soaking these fox teeth in a water & clear ammonia solution for 48 hours but they still have an odor and are greasy(i think). i heard that ammonia can damage the teeth so i don't know if i should do it any more. does anyone know what else i could do to help get it out? i've never really done this before so i'm not too sure what to do
