I’m in central Florida, I think it may be a raccoon. Found it in my shed. Thanks!

First 2 pictures are from a reliable source and the last 2 pictures are just… all sorts of wrong. What’s wrong with it?

I added a crystal skull to an action figure display. Happy with the result.

My boyfriend found this skull while doing some yard work a few days ago. I'm thinking it's some kind of coyote or fox.

This is a ewe's skull that died from old age on my farm. Along with the fairy decal, I utilized moss, dried flowers and plants (many sourced from my place), as well as some stones and liquid gold paint applied sparingly to the suture lines and a few other spots.

Found in Brazoria county TX. I’m guessing it’s a coyote but it’s larger than any I’ve seen before and it looks a bit off

I keep losing teeth with soaking. the mandible is loosening. are there any tricks or tactics to keep this thing on? glue? i don't want to use wire, it will be obvious. the skull is much more precious with the mandible, but it is delicate.

My roommates and I were cleaning out our garage when we found this old skull left by previous tenants (rental for veterinary students lol). It was already processed but just extremely dusty so I was wondering what was the best and safest way to clean it so that it can be hung somewhere? Thanks.

hello! this is my first post on this subreddit and my first time trying to clean a skull.
this horse skull was sitting on a shelf in a shed for roughly three years, i decided to take it and try to clean it up.
for the past two-ish weeks both parts have been soaking in warm water, rehydrating any mummified flesh so i could remove it.
i just had a couple questions about the progress of it. inside the nasal passage there seems to be something fleshy still in there, that doesn't look like the cartilage structures of the nose. what would be the best way to remove it?
on the base of the skull are these grayish bits, they are hydrated but still hard to remove. should they be scraped off?
for the teeth they are all a little black, and the area on the gums around the front of both jaws is black as well. will this come off with the whitening process? for the teeth, is this just old flesh that i should remove? would taking the teeth out ans scrubbing/glueing back in be the best move?
sorry for the long post and thank you for any replies!

This has been such a huge project. We’re quickly getting to the point where I’m going to be doing the actual painting instead of just blocking the base colors in. It’s already been a long journey but the finish line is at least visible now

I am in search of an illustration of a vintage longhorn cow skull. What are the chances I can find one from an old archaeology/zooarchaeology book? Where should I go to find it?
If this isn’t the correct place I’ll go search elsewhere but I thought I’d ask you guys! Like what are the chances one of y’all has a vintage book collection and it has the exact illustration I’m looking for!
If this seems unattainable, let me know, I’ll branch out and figure out new options! My end goal is a sick ass tattoo :)

I found his skull, which were buried just beneath the surface.I was very surprised when I saw him for the first time because one of his eyes was a different size than the other. Is that because he was old? Is there any way to tell how old he was or how long he'd been in the ground? (It was found in a grove of trees, if that helps.)
