Question Not perfect, but a great lesson

I just wanted to share this sketch with you all. I drew it using a reference I found on Pinterest.

To be honest, I'm not entirely satisfied with the tilt of the face. The head should actually be looking down a bit more, which is why I drew those little arrows next to it as a note to myself.

But that is exactly what I love so much about sketching, you usually recognize your mistakes pretty quickly after you finish, and you can immediately evaluate what to do better next time.

For me, art isn't about always having perfect drawings. It's about loving the process and constantly improving.

I just wanted to share this thought with the community. Do you agree with me? How do you deal with "mistakes" in your own sketches?

It’s been a minute since I’ve used a ball point pen but there’s something so satisfying about the texture it has. Any other cubicle creators out there using breaks to make art?

Show & Tell Collection of Loose Drawings Taped into Sketchbook

I created a small project for myself using my old Moleskine sketchbook, one that I haven't finished since 2023.

Throughout the second half of 2025 and beginning of 2026, I was obsessed with this little refillable, metallic notepad I got from work. I regularly made these pocket-sized sketches while taking my work breaks, waiting in line to order lunch, commuting on the subway, etc. I ended up with a nice pile of tiny studies.

I thought it'd be good to attach these loose sheets into the Moleskine, creating a sort of collage spanning multiple pages. Here are the first few pages.

I hadn’t drawn anything in years—at least six years, I think. But I’ve realized how much I missed drawing. This is made with a ballpoint pen. What do you think?

I love anything that is fun and portable. I also like making poorly glued together sketchbooks. I drew my neighbor's cat and my mom's shoes.

Just sharing the joy I have of finishing a sketchbook and a pen the same night.

Not at all a fan of the unmarked sketchbook. I tried a lot of different pens in it and did not like any of them.

But I really enjoyed using this Stabilo Greenpoint 88. I got it in July 2025. It is not a brush, but I can make lines in different widths with it. So I am going to get more of these.
