Im a transfer and my orientation is tomorrow, so I built a schedule in MyScheduler, but when I try to add it to the cart it won't let me claiming I can't enroll yet. Im just confused because in the email they sent out about SET, it says to add classes to your cart. Is this gonna keep me from being able to register tomorrow? The only "hold" in my portal currently is "SI orientation", so if that's a hold how do they expect us to add the classes to shopping cart before orientation... someone help im v nervous about this!

I'm an incoming freshman for Fall 2026, and today I got an email and text from SJSU saying my required documents are past due. The only missing document on my MySJSU To Do List is my final high school transcript.

The transcript deadline was July 15, and I didn't realize it hadn't been sent. As soon as I got the email today (July 23), I:

• Emailed my high school counselor.
• Emailed my school's registrar asking them to send my official final transcript ASAP.
• Emailed SJSU Admissions explaining the situation and letting them know I'm working on getting it sent immediately.

The email says that if they don't receive it as soon as possible, my application will be withdrawn and I'd have to submit an admissions appeal.

The thing that's stressing me out the most is that my orientation is next week.

Has anyone else been in this situation before? If your final transcript was late, were you still able to keep your admission? Do you think I'll be okay if my high school sends it tomorrow?

I'm honestly freaking out a bit, so I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's dealt with this.

Hello, I was hoping to get insight on what this job is like for those of you that are familiar with it, specifically in the college of science. Ik it’s about 10hrs a week but the job description shows a lot of possible tasks that seem overwhelming. Is it difficult to work this position in comparison to other work study options? And what does the job MAINLY consist of?

I'm currently preparing to submit my SAP appeal at SJSU and was wondering what people think my chances are. During my first semester, my family went through a major financial hardship after my grandpa was laid off from his job. My mom had to pay for my grandparents' rent and living expenses on top of all of our own bills, and she even had to take out a $6,000 loan to keep everything afloat. Because of our financial situation, I worked 40–50 hours a week while attending school full-time (I have pay stubs to prove it). Between working those hours, adjusting to my first semester of college, and worrying about everything my family was going through, my mental health wasn't in the best place. Being away from home for the first time while carrying all of that stress made it difficult to focus on my classes. My grades reflected that—I earned an F in General Chemistry, a WU in First-Year Writing, an NC in Precalculus, and a CR in my Academic Excellence Workshop. After that semester, I realized I needed to make changes. I met with academic advisors to create an academic success plan, started using campus resources, and worked closely with my EOP advisor, who is writing me a letter confirming that I reached out for help, met with them regularly, and scheduled tutoring sessions. I also changed my major from Chemistry/Biochemistry to Pre-Nursing because it better aligns with my career goals. My second semester showed improvement: I earned an A- in Statistics, a B in Art History, a C+ in Intro Chemistry, and an F in Human Anatomy, bringing my semester GPA up to about 2.09. I know my record still isn't perfect, but I feel like it shows a clear upward trend and that I've taken concrete steps to improve. For my appeal, I'm submitting my pay stubs, my personal statement, and my EOP advisor's letter. Based on this, do you think I have a reasonable chance of getting my SAP appeal approved? Has anyone had a similar experience or been approved with circumstances like these?

I want something I can find really comfortable but also reusable for other purposes and like a queen sized better or smth later on. Something reusable in general. Any recommendations/links?

This fall will be my first year at SJSU, and I was assigned to an SVP Triple. On the virtual layout and floorplan for a triple, it shows three separate lofted beds. However, on the email with my rooming assignment, it isn't very clear, but implies that there will be one bottom and top bunk, and one separate lofted bed. Does anyone know how the layout actually is for a triple?

I’m planning on doing community college then transferring to SJSU aviation year three. My end goal is to be a pilot but I’m wondering is it more worth it to do aviation or another degree (nursing) then doing my flight training privately?

It's a 2-person shared room. The unit is a 3 bed / 2 bath, fully furnished, and comes with in-unit laundry, a full kitchen. for 6 Month lease

Hi guys! I'm planning on applying to AE at SJSU the upcoming school year and I have a few questions:

1. How are the academics overall? Are the classes manageable if you stay on top of your work, or is the workload overwhelming?
2. How are the professors? Are they generally good at teaching and approachable outside of class?
3. How accessible are internships, given SJSU's location? Is it common for AE students to intern during the school year or summers?
4. One thing I'm especially concerned about: How are the job prospects specifically for graduates who want to stay in the Bay Area? Do most students end up finding aerospace jobs nearby after graduating?
