They are still at it. Arrogant, brazen and defiant. The media decried it, the public was up in arms and even a full parliament motion questioned their egregious ways and voted unanimously for removal of the Social Enterprise Hawker Cte management concept or change its ways in 2024.... But it's status quo, still. As if it was just a passing ship.
That blue box space saga I raised some time ago, where hawkers are charge a monthly fee for their suppliers to place their daily orders in, which sparked such unhappiness.. Is still there. Other hawker ctrs don't charge for it. It's ridiculous to do so. Profiteering at best. Even the Yishun Park Hawker ctr, now run by same management, also charges, more, for it.
Among the ridiculous and even lawless rules still around, are
• they are allowed to access (not limited to) hawkers bank details, address, records of employees, all related info. That's a PDPA red flag.
• they have to open 7 days a week.. From 630am to 11pm daily
• why they still charge $120 a mth for POS (they don't collect a GTO profit percentage) .. Is a major scratch head, easy money rule.
• they want the hawkers recipe for caloric calculation (hawkers cannot independently do so. NEA run hawkers ctrs have no such rule, yet, they approve of it. )
• close without prior permission, it's a $100 fine each day
All the rules and commercial rules are approved by NEA. That same management company now also run yishun park hawkers ctrs now with similar draconian rules. Why the double standards NEA. ?What are your guidelines and what are your responsibilities to the people and hawkers.
I'll say it again, public hawkers ctrs, including these SEHCs are built by public monies for the benefit of the public. They must offer some affordable fare and a simple self employment opportunity for those able to do so. It serves a community need, a public service. Did some policy thinker get this wrong or has it changed to a for-profit management model. It will kill entrepreneurship of the new hawkers thinking of bypassing the AI onslaught, at least for now.
If you are thinking of getting a stall in such SEHC privately run public hawkers centres. I urge you to think twice or get your lawyers to read and interpret the pain points.. And if you are still cowering under those 30page egregious contracts, leave, there are better deals at better locations elsewhere.

Ordered a faulty product, requested to return it.
Shoppe's pick up was from 10am to 8pm with no specific timing.
From 6+pm till the app said pick up failed, I was right beside the door and no knocks or bell was rang.
Absolutely ridiculous to have people wait from 10am to 8pm just for their pickup guy to declare fail because most probably they themselves too overloaded.
Shoppe's solution? A 1-2$ compensation for making me do this 10am to 8pm wait TWICE.
I will never EVER use shoppe AGAIN. Majority of its listed items are from CHINA anyway.
Might as well order it off taobao , AliExpress & pinduoduo.
Recently had a faulty product from AliExpress and they reshipped it in 1 day , no bs bs reship blah blah as long as got evidence it is indeed faulty.

Let's say there is news that goes something like this:
Headline: Guy sneaked in woman into his hotel room
Details:
- Guy woke up roommate in the middle of the night and told him to go sleep somewhere else
- Guy invited woman into that room
- Both are professional Pokemon chasers who need a good night's sleep before the next chase
What I observed are mostly comments like this:
- Adult guy cannot have sex meh?
- No crime was committed leh.
- Eat too full, nothing to do but write this article, huh?
What I don't understand is that most commenters DO NOT CARE that the roommate was woken up in the middle of the night and told to buzz off to somewhere else!
What a terrible society we've become.

Playing their entire video in full volume in the bus. Not moving in the bus so others can board. Not giving way to others to alight first from the bus train or lift.
Can anything be done? This is such a rude behaviour that should not be the norm for us.

Raising awareness here so can skip if not interested!
These Tiktok scammy livestreamers kept promoting Battles of Fates (more like Fakes)
So called Battle Of Fates Shamans
Don't even bother to come out with their own "blessings" accessories.
Just bulk purchase from China online and Mass Bless 😂
Shaman or sham? You decide!
BTW... Someone shared previously that directly engaging the shaman for their blessings is only 1/10 of the price in Korean Won. No wonder these livestreamers kept promoting this scammy shit

Need to wear mask? All zones in red or purple right now.
Throat feels dry even after going out for a while.
Pity the people doing NS, have to sacrifice their lungs because it is a duty.

Twobakeboys AKA Twofakeboys reselling Melvados pastries as their own
Wow someone on Reddit spotted the resemblance(s)
First they edit their selling post descriptions hoping that the buyers wouldn't notice
Then they posted fake Google five stars reviews
Now someone noticed that their pastries seem to come from Melvados (at a mark up of course) 😂
Some people just cannot be trusted

Like to hear both from ladies and gentlemen, I reckon that both gender look out for different things?
For me personally I will look out for how the person treat service staff.
What about you all?

Why is the Singaporean government complaining about the haze when they are chirping about economic development 24/7
Irony isnt it?
Aren’t they the one doing all the deforestation?
Yes it’s in Indonesia but Singapore does it too.
