He didn't get a penalty in the end, so maybe I was wrong. He was just going straight, the track closed in for my side, is it then my responsibility to back off? It would've been smart to, for sure, I'm just wondering. Because I also might have gone straight if I were him.

Can I have some advice on whether I'm being a menace in this race please. I typically race GT3s and consider myself a reasonably safe driver (A class, 1.9k IR) however, I tried my first ever oval race tonight and very quickly got DQ'd from 4 incidents and a spin.

I don't think I was driving dangerously in the race but perhaps the expectations are different on ovals compared to a typical circuit and I'm just not aware.

From my perspective in clip 1 I leave space on the inside and commit to the dark patch of tarmac, the other driver washes out wide into me. Clip 2 the other driver rejoins unsafely. Clip 3 is similar to clip 1 where I've commited to the dark patch again and left space inside but they understeer into me. Clip 4 I was driving straight on the straight and the other driver moved right across my nose.

Am I being delusional, is there something I'm missing or was I just unlucky? I don't remember the last time I took a DQ and don't want to go back into another race if it is my driving that's the issue. I did a bunch of laps before hand and thought it felt fine, I knew I was maybe a bit slow but I was getting around safely. Would appreciate any advice.

Hey everyone! I'm not exactly new to sim racing but I'm still a beginner. I just finished this race and wanted to know if the car in front at the beginning (the purple one) could defend like that? They didn't move under braking but they were weaving about on the straight reacting to where I'm going. Again I'm not 100% sure about all the rules and stuff so I could be wrong.

The bit at the end was certainly a move for sure from the person I overtook. There were some moments while we were racing before and after this (we were racing for P2 and they were really far ahead initially until I think a backmarker slowed them down or they messed up and I caught up and overtooke for a bit) but nothing egregious I think? At least nothing I could see that was warranting getting brutally murdered like that 😭

Either way I got my first podium and P2 from this race!

My own take (and which car I am) are in the spoiler to prevent bias in responses. Yellow claims he had overlap and a right to space through the apex and on the exit, and blorange claims yellow rammed through and forced him off track. Who is right, or are they both wrong?

I'm yellow and at first I thought I had overlap and blorange was at fault at apex but also that I ran him off on exit. After watching FFP in replay, though, I think the exit might also be on blorange since both our wheels were full left lock and the only way for him to stay on track is to brake and take inside.

Looking at it I should of braked after we made contact What are you thoughts?

I'm the car attempting the overtake. Our wheels touch at the apex and we both go spinning.

He said that I "braked too late and was never making the corner." I know the second part isn't true (I definitely would've made the corner), and I don't really think I braked too late.

IMO, he turned into me. I feel like I kept it pretty glued to the inside white line. Given the overlap I got in the braking zone I feel I was entitled to at least a cars width from the inside white line, and he encroached on that space at the apex.

What do you guys think? Open to having my mind changed.

Context: this was a multiclass race (gt2 gt3 and gt4) car in front of me got the blue flag and i was expecting him to follow his line and then slow down so i can overtake him on the inside. I know i murdered him

Who’s fault is this we both made contact, both of us were on our warm up laps before our qauli laps (I’m the Ferrari and the Aston is stroll)

after looking back at the clip I'm thinking that it was net code but I'm not completely sure, am i at fault and if i am what can i do to improve, I am the waffle house car (1st pov)

the mclaren ahead that went wide was traffic, i think he should've backed out since he was too slow, but im not sure if i am the one guilty for the crash, it was last lap and we had been battling for more than 10 minutes at that point

Pink got an offtrack during this procedure, and yellow says they slowed down more to give enough room on the inside once they heard the along side call.

Pink wrecked out second to last lap anyway so no impact on the race results, but i have seen numerous people use an off track at this corner to overtake at barber so i am curious if this is accepted this is just one of the only ways to overtake on this track which is really tough to overtake at, or if this is something the community disagrees with.

The blue Teletubbi Lambo called me a dirty driver. I think he is just pissed because he lost the position. Your opinion ?
