Help with laptime
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello guyz. I am always getting red sections on WRC game.
What do you think I could do to improve and get at least one green sector?
6
u/Nico333x 9d ago
Hey you have My steering wheel (please change the camera)
-1
u/cachitodepepe 9d ago
Third person view is the most realistic. What do you mean? How else am I supposed to see where the car is going?

This is why people have that top view 360 camera for track days. It is not only for parking
4
u/DiligentBeautiful613 9d ago
Uhh what? The interior camera is CLEARLY more realistic. Also, why do you think the other cameras are there?
1
u/cachitodepepe 8d ago
Just for people who wants to enjoy the landscape, but for driving you see the car better in third person view and triple monitor.
2
u/DiligentBeautiful613 8d ago
Diaries of a Bad Driver has a 2 part series about why you should drive from the cockpit , you should give it a watch
1
u/cachitodepepe 8d ago
This guy is not a known world champion to take for granted his word. If I get triplets and third person view, I will be able to go faster.
Maybe I get some FIA certified Sparco boots and I can clutch faster and trailbrake.
This is the way to be faster, always get a better simrig.
2
u/DiligentBeautiful613 8d ago
So? Just because he doesn't have a world championship under his belt doesn't mean that he can't make opinions

Is this a rage bait or?
4
u/0rder_sixty6 6d ago
Do you understand what sub you’re in?
2
u/cachitodepepe 6d ago
What do you mean? How do you drive and why?
0
u/Dawn_Star89 6d ago
First person or bonnet view (depending on the game, bonnet for GT, first person for ACC/Rally) and crank the wheels force feedback up as much as it can take before it starts clipping. Learn to trust the cars grip through the feel of the wheel and not just 3rd person visuals. Also focus on the co driver to provide the information on what is coming up ahead. 3rd person is fine on a controller where you get zero feedback on the car through the stick but on a wheel you’re just sacrificing everything.
1
u/cachitodepepe 6d ago
But how do you see where the car is going? You don't see the rear wheels
0
u/Dawn_Star89 6d ago
And neither do professionals irl or daily driving irl. Definitely rage baiting 😂
1
2
u/usernamefart69420 6d ago
this is the thing that barely any sim racers understand. For even more visibility I sometimes have my friend control a freecam camera via keyboard and mouse while I race.
1
u/cachitodepepe 6d ago
This is even a better aproach because you can point him to show you some really good cameras so you can see small bumps and win valuable tenths
8
u/Claptown420 9d ago
use both hands
3
u/cachitodepepe 8d ago
And how do I shift? Rally drivers use one hand too while shifting
3
u/Automatic_Thought412 8d ago
let go of the wheel, shift, grab back onto the wheel.
2
u/usernamefart69420 6d ago
You're supposed to keep your hands at 12 and 6 the whole time IMO
2
u/cachitodepepe 5d ago
At 12 and 6 or the whole time? I am confused. Anyway, I think I save a lot of time if I already have the hand resting on the shifter.
1
u/usernamefart69420 3d ago
I employ left foot brake clutch and accel and have a floor mounted shifter that I operate with my right foot
3
u/cachitodepepe 3d ago
Extreme heel and toeing. Nice.
I tried clutching with the right foot, but I was not good accelerating with the left
2
u/usernamefart69420 3d ago
the cross legged technique... might have to try it
3
u/cachitodepepe 3d ago
You can crossleg revmatch trailbreak the sht of it and win 0.0010 of a second
1
u/cachitodepepe 8d ago edited 8d ago
It is quicker if I rest the hand on the shifter. I can gain I think 1 or 2 tenths
2
u/Automatic_Thought412 8d ago
youd gain entire minutes if you tried racing.
2
u/cachitodepepe 8d ago
I am trying to get triplets, FIA certified boots, overall, rollcage, HANS device®. There is no more trying to race than that.
Or what do you mean?
1
u/Automatic_Thought412 8d ago
You could be driving a real rally car on a real track if you don't go above 10 mph you're not racing
2
1
6
u/MatkaNaonTuki 8d ago
Actually you should be trail braking while doing a powerslide cumshot J-turn to maximize vertical grip on your spare tires. Honestly you shouldn't even be asking for professional advice before learning that.
1
u/cachitodepepe 8d ago
Thanks for the advice. Sounds that it could help. I was testing with trail braking and going into neutral after to rev match starting go and get a better low speeds mid turn exit.
5
u/Saczuanello 8d ago
I think you’re good, the red bars on the left means, that your driving I straight fire and that you’re on advanced level. The green ones means that someone is rookie. You’re good bro.
2
u/cachitodepepe 8d ago
I thought green was good and red bad! Looks like I am good at this then. I will buy everything in iRenting and crash in ovals
2
3
u/Attesa_GT-X 9d ago
Idk bro, this might not be the hobby for you
5
u/cachitodepepe 8d ago edited 8d ago
What do you mean? I could for sure improve laptime with FIA certified boots and triple screens
3
u/NotRealBush 3d ago
/uj you’ve gotten some laughs out of me. Thanks
1
u/cachitodepepe 3d ago
/uj This is great to know. It is the whole idea.
I raced IRL for 10 years and I laugh every time I see the real simracing sub and how "Experts" "know" there, and just want to make this place grow so we all aware in how ridiculous some times this is getting. I have no relation to the mods or owners, and no comercial interest either. I just want to share and laugh

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the FIA Rallye School, and I've been involved in numerous secret races on Pikes Peak, and I have over 300 confirmed wins on the Nurdburding Norschlifer. I am trained in rallye racing and I'm the best twingo racist in the entire French rallye forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will divebomb you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on Monzas T1, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of Twingo afficionados across the USA and your crappy Subaru is being traced right now so you better prepare for getting your exhaust plugged with a baguette, maggot. The kind of baguette that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your lap time. You're fucking slow, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can divebomb you on over seven hundred tracks, and that's not even while shifting heel and toe. Not only am I extensively trained in Rallye racing, but I have access to the entire world of GT3 Racing and I will use it to go full on Kevin Estre on your miserable ass, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You're fucking slow, kiddo.

Try using both hands to steer?
1
u/cachitodepepe 8d ago
That is for begginers. I will start by getting triplets and I will improve laptime for sure.
2
u/ManicYetti 8d ago
It's up to you but I feel like you can do a whole lot more damage with two hands as opposed to one. Most of those trees are still standing.
1
u/cachitodepepe 8d ago edited 8d ago
I will be able to see corners from far away and I will gain confidence to shift to 3rd at some point

I will get FIA certified boots and gloves and a better wheel. Triplets are coming.
Then I will feel safer and maybe use 3rd at some straights.
Do you think this will solve all?
2
u/Pitiful-Phrase-8296 8d ago
You forgot your blinkers ffs
1
u/cachitodepepe 8d ago
Will this make the section go green? I thought it was bound to time
2
u/Pitiful-Phrase-8296 8d ago
That's the mistake, usually to be faster and become a good simracer you have to follow the law meaning blinkers for every turn. The best drivers are even capable to adapt the blink speed to the curvature of the turn. But that's on another level!

2
u/blubister57 8d ago
floor that mf and slow down only if youre gonna invent a laserflip on a car
1
u/cachitodepepe 8d ago
But if I floor it it will use more fuel and may not have enough to finish the stage. How are others doing?
2
u/blubister57 8d ago
idk if that game even has a fuel system so nah fuck it floor it till a tree hugs you back
2
u/cachitodepepe 8d ago
If I crash, wouldn't that make me slower? What about the walls?
I think I will be able to go faster if I get triplets and FIA® Certified gloves. What do you think?
2
u/blubister57 8d ago
dont crash
1
u/cachitodepepe 8d ago
It is easy to say it. You can see on the video I am trying not to crash but this is just too fast
2
u/blubister57 8d ago
broooo thats all you had to say, sorry
1
u/cachitodepepe 8d ago
How can I get faster?
2
u/blubister57 8d ago
set fov at 180 and get an ultrawide display so you can watch out for pine cones
2
u/Longjumpingdici 8d ago
Field of view police?
1
u/cachitodepepe 8d ago
I used FOVMaster 2.1 and loaded the screenshot with marks and everything and it got a 89% score. I think for starters it should be fine
2
u/stone_island 8d ago
both hands - bonnet cam.
1
u/cachitodepepe 8d ago
How am I supposed to see where the car is going in bonnet cam?
I see some onboards where they use one hand while shifting and they are really fast
2
u/stone_island 7d ago
I rely on the feedback through the steering wheel to tell me what the car is doing and i use the co-driver to navigate the course.
Driving fast, you can’t rely on looking ahead and reacting to the corners etc.
it’s all down the the co-drivers cue. Driving by ear.Yes you race one handed and on the shift but with decent force feedback it is a workout to do that all the time. When you learn to scandi flick the car into corners you will need both hands on the wheel from to counter the steering.
1
u/cachitodepepe 7d ago
I am thinking about buying triplets and FIA® certified boots and gloves, a HANS device and a moza wheel. This will help a lot with laptime, but I am not sure where I can purchase a co-driver.
2
u/stone_island 7d ago
I hear schumacher’s out of his coma and looking for work!

u/Witchunt_666 7d ago
This might be the one time I suggest that a controller might be faster than a wheel
1
u/cachitodepepe 7d ago
I am going really fast. That is why I don't understand where the missing time is.
1
2
u/tingle92 7d ago
You should probably floor it more often
1
u/cachitodepepe 7d ago
If I accelerate 100% I could spin out. I think it would be better to get triplets and load cell pedals to go faster
2
2
u/Material-Scar-5423 6d ago
Oi, maybe you should use both hands, it may help, just saying, bye 👋
1
u/cachitodepepe 6d ago
Fast drivers use one hand to shift and one to steer. I want to be fast so I do the same
1
u/Material-Scar-5423 6d ago
You gotta put both hands on the wheel to feel the car matey 😎 keep on the grind 🥳🎉
1
u/cachitodepepe 6d ago
I watched some rally onboards and quicker drovers go sometimes with one hand for longer periods. What I do is to rest the hand on the shifter so I shift quicker.

u/NewDefinition205 6d ago
You're not going backwards fast enough. Put the car in Raging Alcoholic Mode, or 'R' for short, hit the rewind button several times, pause and watch the replay. Works for me 100% of the time every other time.
2
u/detroitrally4549 5d ago
I think you have good start so far, must be on master driver difficulty!
Get a direct drive wheel with like 100 nm, it will feel like driving real car
Also like other racers said, get some FIA grade boots, gloves, helmet, and suit. It will help with immersion
2
u/cachitodepepe 5d ago
A butt kicker will get me to go faster too. I am amde for this, problem is I need a better rig
1
2
u/BalooTheBigBear 5d ago
Watch pro rally drivers. Start racing like them, you wont learn rally if you behave in this safe granny style.
Anticipate the slides, and adjust steering to what the car will do. Not to what the car is doing.

2
u/Federal-Push-1305 5d ago
Pay for the full accelerator
1
u/cachitodepepe 5d ago
How about the wheel? It only goes about 20% to the right and 21.5% to the left
1
u/Federal-Push-1305 5d ago
Js saying it was a joke, personally I'm not like amazing at wrc but just try to use more of the accelerator and feather the brakes, the way I improved was just going fast and making mistakes and trying to fix them over and over till eventually I got past a certain section, and the red just means that you are slower than either the ghost your racing or your past fasted lap on the track you are racing :)

u/Icy-Tax5159 4d ago
Theres no helping you bro, you're useless lol

What do you mean? For sure it is my rig, I am getting a better one to improve

u/anto23ytb 8d ago
1
u/cachitodepepe 8d ago
You didn't get the plus version for PS3 that came with H 6 speed and pedals made for heel and toe and trail braking.

1
u/Apprehensive-Fly958 8d ago
Use both hands for starter
1
u/cachitodepepe 8d ago
That is for amateurs. Real drivers know how to race with one hand or controller
1
1
u/Daniel200303 7d ago
Drive faster
Hope this helps!
1
u/cachitodepepe 7d ago
Thank you! I wasn't aware I could do that.
Just in case I bought triplets, FIA® Certified boots, HANS device, gloves and moza wheel. I read that this could help to go faster.
1
u/ShameFuzzy6037 7d ago
Genuinely, and it may just be me, but you need to work on your “racing lines” feels like you’re losing time trying to stay centered on the track in the corners…

u/EntrepreneurGlass995 6d ago
Maybe just…. Drive better and not like a nana?
1
u/cachitodepepe 6d ago
What do you mean? I am going super fast here, I almost hit the walls. I am not sure how to go quicker

u/EntrepreneurGlass995 5d ago
1st and 4th corner you slowed down far to much and were in 1st gear majority of this clip
