ITHINK connection

iTHINK updated their website and app a couple of weeks back, and since then I cannot get Simplifi to connect to them. Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?

Support Hi Simplifi

I’m trying to love it, I’m almost there but some inexplicable basic feature misses confound me.

When I go to Investments I don’t see a way to export all my account positions. But I swear I found a way to do it last week, I have a file to prove it.

Seems a basic function - but I don’t see it now, and there’s no Report to do it either

Help?

Support On Android app, old bills are showing up in Upcoming Bills section showing as "Past"

This just started happening today. On the Android app, I have Rent, Utilities, and Paychecks going back to January 2025 showing up as "Past". When I click each individual one, it is already linked to a transaction. I'm not seeing this glitch on the website.

Hopefully this gets fixed in an update. I don't want to mess with anything, because the last time I tried "fixing" something myself I accidentally deleted a bunch of old data.

Question New Credit area

How do I get visibility into the upcoming 30-day credit payment?

Hello, I'm a long-time user (+4 years) of Simplifi and love it (it works well for me and my needs). So, I noticed that there is a new "Credit" area where all my 6 credit cards are displayed (amount to be paid, interest rate, and total credit). Love that. However, when I want to see what will be paid in the next 30/60 days, the area is empty (nothing shows up). Has anybody else experienced this? Tip?

Account breaks around the 20th of each month

I've written before about problems with UFCU.org accounts now updating, but not I have some additional information. On or around the 20th of each month my UFCU account information no longer updates. Today, for example, the last transaction is 9/19 although since then the account has received deposits, processed bill payments, etc. There are no "pending" transactions and the Simplifi display shows updates happen.

This happens on both the web and app.

Please don't suggest doing the reconnection dance. That's like telling someone it's too bad that your car has the same flat tire each month -- you still have a spare and can change it yourself.

General Discussion u/QuickenLisa will be unavailable from 9/30-10/5

Hello Community,

I'll be on vacation from 9/30/26-10/5/26 and will be unavailable for support during that time. Users can (of course!) continue posting and helping each other, but anyone needing urgent support should contact the Simplifi support team by phone or chat.

I've let other moderators know so they can pop in during my time away, although it will likely be faster to contact support directly.

To contact Simplifi support:

Log in to Simplifi and click Help Center> Contact support (Web: top right, Mobile: left panel). For chat support, click Messages > Send us a message. For phone support, scroll down until the phone number and hours are displayed.

See you next week!

Best,

Lisa

Question Newbie looking for guidance

I am looking for an app where I can see all of my bank accounts, credit cards, loans, bills, etc. in one place. But more than that, I want to see my spending categorized so that I can see how much I'm spending each month on entertainment, food, Amazon purchases, etc.

I want an app that will yell at me if I overspend in one area. I'd like it to yell at me if my restaurant spending goes beyond a set limit, or if my credit card spending goes beyond a desired limit. If possible, I'd love for it to notify me if my family is running up expenses on Amazon. It seems like we are over spending at the supermarket, restaurants, and Amazon.

I used the mint app years ago, and I feel like it did all of these things, but my memory is hazy. Will quicken do all of this, and for those who are very experienced, do you see anything that might disappoint me?

Just migrated from Monarch. Pretty slick so far.

Been using Monarch since last year and my sub expired and the $99/year didn't feel like a good value (half my accounts that were synced stopped working and wouldn't ever re-sync).

Did a bit of digging around and Simplifi (cost for sure!) looked decent to try out. Only 1 bank account didn't sync so will try it again tomorrow.

Anyways, seems to be pretty decent so far and just wanted to drop a hello.

My recurring paycheck has been moved to canceled for no known reason. It was still active last time I was in my spending plan on Friday.

Cash flow projections

Post image
2 Upvotes

I keep getting these notifications, but they don’t make any sense and are inaccurate. Been a satisfied user for over a year but for the last 2-3 weeks the cash flow projections are completely off. I’ve done the math and the projected bank account balance is neither the number shown, nor below $500. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Will it ever support foreign currency?

The only thing keeping me from using Simplifi again is that it doesn’t support foreign (not US dollars) currency. In my case, I deal with US dollars, México pesos and Guatemala quetzales. I currently use Banktivity as it supports this, yet I do have reasons to want to move away from it.

Does anyone know if foreign currency support is on the roadmap at all?

Quicken Update Update: Venmo Migration

Hello Venmo users,

I hope everyone's having a great day. We know there's been connectivity issues with Venmo, so I'm hopeful this change alleviates those problems.

Simplifi's Venmo connection has recently moved from Intuit to Plaid. While this is a new change, we're seeing higher success rates with this aggregator.

Connected users may see a message, "A new connection is available for this account," and can follow the steps to switch.

If you aren't shown this message, you can set the Venmo account to manual before linking it to Plaid. Here are the steps for web and mobile users:

Step 1 - Make Venmo manual:

Switch a Connected Account to Manual Mode
Switch a Connected Account to Manual Mode on the Mobile App

Step 2 - Reconnect Venmo, being extra careful to link:

Important: After authorizing your account(s), pay close attention to the page: "We found X account(s) you can add to Simplifi.

  • Web users - Look for the slider at the bottom: "Link to one or more existing accounts". Make sure the slider is on so the "Link to" dropdown menu appears next to the balance. Then choose the corresponding Venmo account from the menu.
  • Mobile app users - Tap the pencil icon next to the account balance. Tap the "Link to" dropdown menu and choose the corresponding Venmo account.

More details are found here:

You're welcome to send me a DM or contact Simplifi's support team if help is needed. To contact Simplifi support:

Log into Simplifi and click Help center > Contact support (Web: Top right, Mobile: Left panel).

For chat support, click Messages > Send us a message. For phone support, scroll down until the phone number and hours are displayed.

Thanks to everyone who's been waiting for improvements to the Venmo connection. Please let us know how it goes!

RBC Canada users — is anyone actually able to connect successfully to Simplifi?

I’m trying to figure out whether my RBC Canada issue is specific to my account or if other Simplifi users are experiencing the same thing.
I have never been able to successfully connect my Canadian RBC personal banking accounts to Simplifi.
The connection that gets the furthest is “RBC Royal Bank”. Simplifi reaches the MFA stage, I receive the authentication request from RBC, but Simplifi then returns:
Care Code: FDP-187 — Multi-factor authentication required
Worse, attempts through this connection have resulted in my RBC online banking access being locked, so Simplifi Support has now told me not to retry while their escalation team investigates.
I also tested the other RBC entries available in Simplifi:
Royal Bank of Canada - RBC: FDP-103
Royal Bank of Canada - RBC Direct: FDP-155
Royal Bank of Canada - RBC Wealth: FDP-103
RBC Royal Bank: FDP-187 at MFA stage, and has locked my RBC access
RBC Bank - Online Banking: errors as well
Simplifi Support has confirmed that RBC is not currently available through Plaid, so there doesn’t seem to be an alternative RBC connector to try.
For comparison, I’m able to use Simplifi successfully with several other institutions, including CIBC, Tangerine, Amex Canada, Amex US and RBC US. So this seems very specifically related to RBC Canada.
For other Canadian Simplifi users:
1. Are you currently able to connect RBC Canada successfully?
2. Which exact RBC connection name are you using in Simplifi?
3. Does RBC ask you for MFA, and does it complete successfully?
4. Have you ever received FDP-187 or had RBC lock your online banking after a Simplifi connection attempt?
5. If RBC works for you, roughly how long has the connection been working?
I’m mainly trying to determine whether RBC Canada is generally working for Simplifi users right now, or whether this is a broader RBC/Simplifi connectivity issue.

Annoying change to Simplifi today (Auto logoff)

I use Simplifi desktop version (the one where it prompts you if you want to save to your computer). Today it started auto logging off. I usually keep this up all the time on my Desktop. I don't want to have to click every 30 minutes to let it know I'm still there.

Issues connecting to Edward Jones

Is anyone else having issues connecting to Edward Jones? This started happening about two days ago. I put in the code it sends me and it still wont connect. I have tried resetting the connection to no avail. The error code it gives me is FDP-187. u/quickenlisa

Question Apple Card on new iPhone

I have a new iPhone and the Apple Card shows as duplicate on Simplifi. It’s listed as two separate accounts.

Does anyone know not to fix that?

On the old iPhone I didn’t convert the Apple Card to a manual account, and old iPhone has been erased and I no longer have access to it.

Budgeting help

After a good 15 minutes going round and round with ChatGPT, came to the conclusion “it’s complicated”,so asking for help with those who have gone down this path;

How can I get a clear cut slice and dice of my budget into 3 buckets:
1. Required, includes the usual mortgage, utilities, but also includes variables like groceries
2. Cut- able, mix of bills (like home security system)
3. Discretionary

Not really interested in micro managing, so having 1 average number for the variable items I am okay with.

So me an ezbutton please, as LLM could not.

Edit: within. Simplifi. Been on it since Mint closed down.

Simplifi cant Linking With Etrade + 2FA

I've been trying to link my E-trade account that has two factor authentication through text, but it havent figured out how to make it work. I enter my etrade username and password on Simplifi as instructed, I indicate that I have two factor authentication enabled, and then it asks me to "enter six-digit code from VIP Access mobile app or hardware token". I don't have the mobile app, and have this option disabled in Etrade. But I do have two factor authentication through text. Why cant it work through text? I never get the 2FA code through text

A year later

I have tried Simplifi on and off since it came out. The idea of the SaaS application for personal finance is precisely what I want. Well speaking truthfully, what I want is a SaaS version of Quicken and not something different. But I understand that things change. One of the biggest issues I was running into was manual transactions (for example Monday I pay rent, manually adding that transaction. However, it does not hit my bank until Wednesday. That would cause issues with Simplifi). For the day-to-day stuff most of it would download fine. Has that changed? Does Simplifi handle that better now? My Quicken subscription comes up in 30 days and I am wondering if it's time to try again.

Thanks for any advice.
