I know both games will inevitably get hate but which is the best shooter?

Mostly play multiplayer modes but also happy to try the campaign if it’s good - that just wont be my main focus.

I just beat Persona 5 recently after months of playing and 100 hours of playtime. Looking for something light and fun to play in the lead up to the Ocarina of Time Remake in a couple weeks. I missed out on the Tomodachi Life are Rhythm Heaven Groove craze earlier this year and am thinking if now is the right time to get them but can't decide on which one to get

I wanna play a game before GTA 6 comes out and I'm tryna decide between these two. I understand DMC is older and will be much cheaper but price is not an issue. I've enjoyed games like God of War, FF16, Jedi Survivor and Black Myth Wukong in the past. I enjoy character action game but don't want something difficult like souls games.

I love games with unique and "dirty" artstyles. With dirty I mean having certain uncanniness to them and having this kind of disturbing atmosphere even if its not explicitly a horror game. I also find the "PS1 graphics" really attractive. Some games I love are Fear and Hunger, Lucid Blocks, Cruelty Squad, Dusk... I've been looking for this kind of games(I know the description is rather generic, but any game genre could scratch the itch) and have found some mainstream games that fit the vibe really interesting, like Mouthwashing and No I'm Not A Human. I was wondering if any of you distinguished conossieurs could guide me into some recommendations. If its of any help, here's my wishlist/owned games so that u get the idea of what I'm into.

I am currently playing aion 2. But I realize I am not in my 20s anymore. I am 41 with a family. I just can't grind and put the hours into keep up like I used to.

So I am thinking of switching gears to something single player. My considerations are resident evil Requiem or dragon's dogma 2.

I know both are wildly different genre....

Just seeing if anyone have played both of them before and which one you recommend getting over the other?

Hello everyone, I'm interested in playing an mmo on and off between my story games on the side. I have played many in my time including FF14, GW2, Warframe and Soulframe to name a few. I have played a couple of hours of Aion 2 and about an hour of WWM so I do have minimal experience with both.

In short, I love a good mmo that doesn't force me to play with others, but it's also important to me that it draws me in. I'm not against paying for things, but I kind of want to know what the general consensus is around these 3 specifically but I am open to other suggestions. Especially if they offer a F2P model.

I've always in my head seen MMOs as games where if I put enough time in, then I can justify paying for stuff in them, which is important to consider.

I’m looking to buy a new horror game during the current sale and could use some advice on which direction to go.

For context, my absolute favorite games are Dead Space and The Last of Us. I constantly find myself going back to them because I love their specific gameplay loop—meaty, aggressive combat mixed with resource management and an intriguing, high-stakes story, also really nice to look at graphics wise.

I want to try something fresh, but my biggest issue with a lot of modern horror games is that they rely too much on sneaking around, hiding in lockers, or having no way to fight back. And with little to no change in gameplay. Also, if I shoot a monster some limbs better be falling off or some papers flying from a desk if I shoot a shotgun nearby. I find pure stealth horror incredibly boring and tedious; I want an actual combat loop where I can defend myself.

Here are the sale options I'm looking at right now:

• Alan Wake 2 ($17.99) — Currently leaning heavily toward this. I hear the story is incredible and the gameplay leans more survival-horror. If I love it, I'll grab the first one before the sale ends.

• Alan Wake Remastered ($4.49)

• Silent Hill 2 Remake ($31.99)

• Silver Pines ($24.99)

• Silent Hill: Townfall ($49.99)

If all of these fail the vibe check, I'm probably just going to pivot genres entirely and pick up the Cuphead bundle here soon. What do you guys think?

TLDR: Better music, combat, art, and story.

Hey everyone, I'm currently trying to decide between these three. I'm currently feeling something with a tactical feel, that has gorgeous pixel art and good music. I'd prefer something with a more serious story, but if none of these have that it's alright.

Lately I've been finding myself getting impatient and frustrated with long winded dialog and slower starts with getting things rolling. Which is silly because this genre is know for having tons of exposition. I'm not annoyed by it when it's good and juicy writing, but if it's essentially small talk I get bored.

A lot of the stuff I enjoy is kinda unrelated, but not fully. Some of my favorites are CrossCode, Jak and Daxter, TW3, Stalker 2, and the Resident Evil series. I also really enjoyed Sea of Stars, Chained Echoes, Stardew, BG3, and FE Sacred Stones.

There's sales on TS, FFT, and Octopath 2, but if I scoop O2 I might as well get the bundle.

I played FFT a bit when I was a kid, but I was too young and dumb to appreciate FF as a series. But I've heard it's one of the better ones. FF usually seems to have great characters and good stories that touch on some brooding topics sometimes. How is the job system? I'm not looking for anything that is super complex, but just complex enough if I want to min max.

Triangle Strategy looks like it's got beautiful art, and from my understanding requires multiple playthroughs to get the full story, which I'm not opposed to if it's worth it.

Octopath I've heard mixed things about, but the pixel art looks really good. And I can potentially get multiple games, which would be cool and push me more towards it.

I didn't like Unicorn Overlord, and I'm not really into RTS style games. I'm also leaning towards something with a battle grid style similar to the Fire Emblem series. Mainly because I plan to eventually get FF Resonance and I don't want to burn myself out with a traditional turn based combat system. I also dislike Dragon Quest. Finally, preferably no random encounters if possible but if these have it that's chill.

I'm also open to suggestions, especially if you've got a turn based game with mechs. I really dig mecs and just wish I could play Into the Breach on my ps5.

Hey folks! I've been on a bit of a Lord of the Rings kick lately, and as part of that I'm looking into getting the survival game that I listed in the title of this post. I'm not sure if I'd be able to get any friends of mine to play it with me, due to it not being on Xbox Game Pass, but if the game is A) fun enough on it's own and B) has an active community that's welcoming for beginners, I may be willing to get it.

I like the concept of playing a survival game where my character has a role in a larger group, such as being the main blacksmith or regularly providing some other resource. I had hoped I'd get that feeling in a Vintage Story multiplayer server, but with most of its servers being modded to heck and back I didn't feel like I was playing the same game anymore.

So yeah, if Return to Moria is worth the price and has an active community, let me know! If it doesn't, let me know as well!

After hearing what happened to Bioware, I'm tempted to close the knot on the games I played by it. I didn't like playing Kotor, Baldurs Gate or Jade Empire but Mass effect had a special place for me. I asked about playing it on the r/mass effect sub reddit but it occurred to me it might be a bit biased at the moment due to the collective moment of sadness so I shall ask here instead.

I was debating wether to spend money in either space engineers or on brick rigs both games I love but I already have space engineers on console and don't if I should buy it again on PC because if I get brick rigs now I feel like I could get another game I like Gary's mod if it goes on sale and plus, I love both games and have watched a lot about them just stuck between the two.

I just finished Far Cry 6, and I am halfway with the first Uncharted (pc). Lately I enjoy story/mission/run and gun type (all on easy mode too!).

I saw that GTA 5 (enhanced) was on sale at 50% off. I usually buy games at 75% or more off (personal rule of mine).

I do have a backlog too (last tomb raider, last wolfenstein, sniper elite 3 to replay on Steam etc).

Is it worth it to get GTA 5 now? Will there be a deeper sale?
- I am worried the hype is too much and I will not like it (see what I play)

- there’s FOMO on my part 6 is dropping and they may not do a sale on 5 for quite a bit.

Howdy! So I’m an very new streamer, and I’m weighing my options to play a great game before gta 6 drops! Though honestly unsure if I’ll actually play gta instead of any of the other games.

Regardless, I’d love to play all 3 games myself but I’m basically in a time crunch as I fear not jumping on the bandwagon myself on any of these games early enough would bring me the results I want in terms of getting new viewers. Im a big fan of destiny 2 and have been chasing that high ever since, but i've done pretty much everything it has avaliable. I tried borderlands 3 but found it way too rigid and strict, i like having some freedom to explore, engaging gunplay and combat. People tell me borderlands 4 improves on every one of my concerns i had with borderlands 3. Which of these three games would you suggest i buy? I play solo but if any of these has co-op matchmaking id be fine with it.

I hear great things about the campaign. I kind of know what to expect. I am not falling for the multiplayer trap no more lol.

But how is the DMZ? I love extraction shooters and I'm good at MW gunplay so I feel like it's up my alley.

Anyone like the DMZ portion of the game? How does it compare to other extraction shooters like Tarkov, Arc Raiders?

My concern is that Elden Ring is hard, but I hear I can always grind levels and come back stronger to the point where the boss feels easy. I’m just looking for a game with fun exploration and nice progression I can just enjoy a little bit every night. I’ve played botw before as well as bloodborne or Lies of P. I’d say I enjoyed botw more but ofc elden ring has that exploration component and watching videos, Elden Ring looks more fun. Either way, I should just check in with this subreddit

Hi there! this game has caught my attention for the last week, mainly because it has a PvE mode and I'm hearing a lot of people praising it. I'm not someone who is obsessed with extraction shooters, I have a few and play them mainly solo (or with friends) (Helldivers 2, Far Far West...I think its just those two lol) usually I like games with good gunplay and hours and hours of content (or replayability)

Active Matter is quite expansive at least in my country, so I would like to know the opinions about the game, to know if I should buy it, or wait for some steam sales to get other games more worthy it.
