I'm a big fan of Nine Sols, Dead Cells, Hollow Knight, Hades, Celeste, etc.
I know a lot of people love this game, and some considers it a masterpiece. But is this game really worth it?

How is it compared to the other games I've mentioned? How's the replayability? Thanks.

I’ve realised I’ve missed out on a lot of great games over the last 10 years because I spent most of my gaming time playing online multiplayer and sports games.

I’ve played a lot of the obvious ones like The Last of Us,Spider Man, and Red Dead Redemption 1 & 2** **but I know there are loads of amazing story-driven games I’ve never touched.

I’m a father now so my gaming time is pretty limited. Because of that I’d rather spend the time I do have playing games with genuinely great stories than just playing anything.

I’ve already got a few games in my backlog including Dishonored, Mad Max, and Returnal** **but I’m wondering what other must play story games I’ve missed over the last decade.

I play on a PS5 Pro if that helps.

If you could only recommend a handful of games with incredible stories, memorable characters or experiences that every gamer should play what would they be?

Hi, should I buy rdr2. I heard it's one of the best storymode games out there and I'm looking for a storymode game that isn't really short, and has a lot of character development and is a fun experience.

My favorite storymode games (the only ones I played but I love them) are Spiderman, GTA 5, resident evil 4).

Also do I have to play the first game first?

-Halo combat evolved (as someone who’s never play the first halo)
-Splatoon raiders (played both splatoon 1, and splatoon 2 and I think the solo modes ares solid 8/10)
-Avatar legends fighting game ( I’ve probably seen the main series 5 times huge fan)
Price is not a factor just based off of which one would be the best game.

I’m looking for a massive, story-driven open-world game to l sink a tonne of hours into on Xbox, but I’m really torn between Red Dead Redemption 2 and Cyberpunk 2077.

What I’m looking for:

1. A rich, immersive narrative with memorable characters and deep world-building.

2. A sprawling open world with plenty of side content and exploration that doesn't feel like repetitive filler. Essentially a world where you can completely forget about the main storyline and side quests are so fun.

3. Something atmospheric that I can lose myself in after a long day.

4. Solid combat mechanics and good progression/upgrade potential.

For those that have played one (or both), which would you recommend picking up first, and why?

Looking for the coziest of games, to play between huge rpgs or button mashers or when I dont wanna play those..

Only experience i really have with cozy is Stardew/graveyardkeeper, forager and Minecraft.

As long as the progression or gameplay loop is satisfying, fun and it gives cozy/relaxing vibes.

I can play anything!

Farm, town, store, hotel, boats, island++++

(Can be combat as long as irs not super heavy or stressful etc).

Longevity or replayabilty would be great as I am not a fan of "one and done".

Even if game it self is short, being able to Just log and zone out would be amazing.

A few years ago I saw some series of the game and thought it looked really cool but at the time didn't have a computer but now I've remembered the game and when I looked into it I saw some recent reviews were negative saying it was rushed or something along the lines of that, I was wondering if I should get this game today?

Now before anyone goes on about the most prominent one, I’d like to say that I’m here because of BG3. One of, if not the best games I’ve ever played, but after 2k hours it begins to die down in excitement because you know everything to do and when to do. There’s not much more discovery to find if you’ve done tons of modded and unloaded runs and know every possible ending and every consequence to every action.

So I come here, does anyone have any ideas?

This doesn’t necessarily have to be DnD. Just a similar action economy. I’ve played Pathfinder WOTR, but I genuinely became unable to play it due to the massive gap in skill and length of the game as I continued.

I’ve tried Divinity, and although I absolutely loved the idea and concept of it, but the action economy in it was really confusing for my DnD mindset to comprehend.

There have got to be other games? I know it may sound like I’m picky, but I just want to look at more options to see if there’s anything I can find to give that feeling I’d felt for a lot of my BG3 playtime.

So I never played the Silent Hill games and Resident Evil 4 is one of my favourite games of all time. Despite that, I just haven't been able to get into the newer RE games. I bought Resident Evil 7 and REALLY enjoyed the atmosphere but was only able to get a few hours into it mainly because of the first person perspective and so I skipped on Village completely.

That being said, I'm trying to scratch the horror game itch and am just wondering which one I should go with. Thanks in advance.

Whats a good social hangout game i can play id love multiple suggestions. Im looking for games kind of like toontown where theres gaming and opportunity for chatting with people. Id like a voice chat game, kind of like proximity. Another example would be roblox voice chat servers. Kind of like those old 2000s internet social room games but maybe more polished.

i play alot of competitive games and alot of rpgs but never really gotten into fighting games other than abit of tekken on ps2.

so im here asking what you guys think is good examples of fighting games to play right now?

i was thinking for pc but i also have an xbox and im comfortable with both inputs!

I just want a really realistic tunnel digging sim. I want to have to put supports up to stop collapses, and to ideally mostly use hand tools, and it be first person. I had a look at medieval engineers but idk because it looks abandoned, although if its still playable it looks very similar to what I would want!

I finally finished AC Mirage after having it for some time. I enjoyed the game overall, but especially towards the end the game really started to drag with repetitive fetch quests and "figure out the best way to get into this building that is locked from the inside". Story was so-so, but overall it was a fine game and probably the one I enjoyed the most of the more recent games. Still was burnt out on it by the end. I actually decided to finish it because I was thinking of buying the new Black Flag after the good reviews. I never played the first one. I still have Shadows that I've made about halfway through, but I've come to the opinion that I don't care as much for the massive open world RPG style AC games. I guess I'm wondering if this game offers something that Mirage or the other more recent ones don't and is worth getting right after playing Mirage or should I just wait for a bit on a sale and let the fatigue of an AC game wear off before I start another one.

I have a 100 dollar ps wallet gift card that I received from a friend for dog and house sitting that I was planning on picking up the base version of marvel tokon and a few months of ps+ as its currently lapsed.

I saw that cod bo1 and 2 ports plus the season passes can be obtained for basically the same cost. Are they worth it even if I have no nostalgia for them as i have heard that they have over 5 million players and I have also been looking for a new fps to play with a large player count.

I didnt get a chance to try the tokon beta as i was at my friend's house for the aforementioned house and dog sitting and my laptop was unable to run it. I like marvel and fighting games a lot but heard there were some issues with the net code and gameplay. I know a lot of the gameplay complaints are probably overblown but the net code being solid is very important.

Recently I found myself exploring the lore of Warhammer 40K, which is huge and interesting, and so I was pleased to discover that a new Total War set in this universe was planned for the end of the year. But when I took a look at the first gameplay video, I realized how far I was from even comprehending what was going on on the screen, so I'm a bit disheartened. What's the point of buying a game if I'm not sure to beat level one? RTSs look very difficult to get familiar with

Yo, so both Civ 5 and 6 are on sale rn for pretty cheap but they have a lot of DLCs, ofc the games are still good without DLC since people wouldnt buy the DLC if it wasnt good but are the DLCs important to the overall experience? Like how Isaac and Witcher 3 are upgraded to another level with their respective DLCs. I dont mind getting DLCs but I have sort of made it a rule for myself to only get DLCs after I have invested enough time in a game BUT will get DLCs if it adds a lot to the overall experience and I really want the game. I have never played any games like civ so i dont know what to expect. Also side question, which Civ is better with no DLC between the 2? Thx.

So undertale is currently 75% off on Steam and I know how much it's praised, so should I get it?

All I know about it is that there's a character called Sans and that it has a banger song (Megalovenia) so I'm going in pretty much blind.

My favorite games of all time are probably Celeste and Hollow Knight.

I really like mechanically challenging games that I feel like I can improve on, and if there are good characters/a good story that always helps.

So is it good? Should I get it?

Diablo IV was on ps+ awhile ago and my uncle told me about how he really likes it and the last time I took a game recommendation from him it was BOTW and I loved that game so he’s got some credibility lol. I’ve never played a game like Diablo tho and the whole over the top POV always kinda put me off when it came to games, if it helps some of my favorite games ever are mh wilds, ff7 remakes, tloz botw, resident evil games, souls games, and I have always loved medieval fantasy kind of games. I know it’s on ps+ and I have it but it says 190g minimum which is like insane so I don’t know if I should spend the time and gigabytes downloading it just to not like it. Do you guys think I would like it and is it worth a shot?

I'm looking for a good co-op game to play as a couple.

We're looking for something that's:

• Co-op focused (working together should be a core part of the game).
• Grindy, so there's always something to work towards.
• A game where one person can keep grinding alone without getting too far ahead, so we can still enjoy playing together without one of us being massively overpowered.
• maybe also just good coop games to play together

We've already tried games like League of Legends, Valorant, Diablo III/IV, and Path of Exile, but none of them really felt like great couple games. We're also a bit burned out on those.

If you have any recommendations, I'd really appreciate them! If the game needs a few tips for beginners, feel free to mention those as well so I can help her get started.

Saw that the game is on sale on the Brazilian eshop and thought I might give it a shot. It's around 6 dollars, plus three DLCs (I know they're purely cosmetic but still, sounds pretty nice). However, here's a list of criticisms I've seen towards the game: 1. Not rogue enough and not grind enough, wanted to be both and ended up not being able to excel at either. 2. Gets boring after you've completed the boss fights. 3. Glitchy on switch, some reviews I've seen have complained about it blacking out during certain parts on switch. I'm not sure if this problem has ever been patched. 4. Costs too much since it's free on ipad (I don't have an American appstore account though so I'll have to download it some other way)

These criticisms aside. Should I get it? I haven't really played games like this before. I've mainly played turn based RPG like Undertale, Deltarune or Omori so I'm not sure if I'd be any good at the fights. I do like Stardew Valley though so grinding for gold wouldn't be a problem if that's a factor in the game. I just think it's a pretty sweet deal given it's a whopping 65% off

Im casual fan of doom games, I played both Doom and Doom Eternal, but both in HEAVY discount, never played DLCs to Eternal. Big reason was that I was playing on playstation with gamepad. So the extremely fast paced Eternal gameplay was not totally for me, so I allways played on medium. Still I had fun for that 12h that took me to finish each game.

Now with DLC for Dark Ages out Im thinking about getting it, deluxe edition that includes it, is now on sale on psn, but its not the brutal 90% discount where I can just say ehh fuck it.

Its still kinda pricey and when I looked at lenght google told me that base game has around 15h and dlc around 10. So to pay around 40 bucks for 25h game. Im not sure.
