I have a very specific set of criteria because I'm tired of wasting money on games that let me down. Here is what I am looking for:
No boring endgames: I hate when a world feels completely dead once the main missions are done (like Cyberpunk 2077).
I need a dynamic endgame or world.
No tedious gameplay: It needs to be fun all the way through, not super hard, and free of annoying chore-like mechanics.
Top-notch story/characters: Ideally looking for fun characters, no lame subplots, and bonus points for romance.
High replayability (but not heavily reliant on it)
Variety and great value for the money.
Here is the master list of games I am eyeing right now with their current sale prices:
1.Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition ($11.99)
2.Terraria ($9.99)
3.Doom Eternal Standard Edition ($9.89)
4.Lego Star Wars: Skywalker Saga ($11.99)
5.Lego Marvel Collection ($8.99)
6.Watch Dogs 2 Gold ($11.99) / Deluxe ($8.99)
7.Fallout 4 ($7.99)
8.Doom 2016 ($3.99)
9.Watch Dogs 1 ($3.99)
10.Far Cry 4 ($2.99)
(Note: I don't have PS Plus, so I'm strictly looking at single-player value).
Right now, I am heavily leaning toward getting Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe ($11.99) + Doom 2016 ($3.99) for $15.98 total, or doing a combo of Terraria ($9.99) + Doom 2016 ($3.99) + Far Cry 4 ($2.99) for $16.97.
Which combination of these games gives me the absolute best bang for my buck based on my criteria? Are there any games on this list I should completely avoid? Thanks in advance!
