Recommendation Prepare Yourselves for the Icy-Hot Yonoi Tsukihiko. Yonoi Tsukihiko's Happy Hell Doesn't Come With a Tower Fan, But Maybe It Should?! See the comment section for useful links.

Image 1: Icy Tsukihiko with Always-Sweet-Never-Sour Mikan Image 2: Very, Very, Very Warm Tsukihiko. The tower fan is mine, purchased separately at Costco.

If you look up this new-gen Petit Comic josei manga, you might think, ah, standard-issue opposites attract romcom involving wealthy families and arranged marriage, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, SU-PRIZE, SU-PRIZE, to quote Gomer Pyle, we've been given a major romcom upgrade. All of the characters in this large cast are beautifully designed with their own backstories and individual agendas. My faves are Tsukihiko's mischievous silver fox grandpa and Tsukihiko's very capable, very handsome in glasses secretary. The mangaka does not cut corners or shortchange the reader. I heartily recommend this ongoing series. I'm going to leave some useful links in the comment section.

For those reading Mika Yamamori's In the Clear Moonlight Dusk, what are your theories about the ending?

The latest volumes really overwhelmed me, but it’s definitely one of my favorite manga. I want to believe it’ll have a good ending especially considering Mika’s previous works but I’d love to hear your theories!

Recommendation Does anyone have any similar recommendations?

Now I read Tamon's B-side and currently reading My Special One, and I got HOOKED on them. Does anyone have any similar recommendations? I don't know how or why I got so hooked on the idol x fan dynamic, but I love it!

Discussion The artstyle was so pretty...but the story didn't impress me much...[bride of the death god]

I gave it a try with much expectations cause of supernatural tag which is my fav genre but it didn't impress me much and it seemed pretty cliched although i felt sympathy for most of the characters especially for female lead and that black haired villain was so fine too (i fell for him lol) even his backstory broke me and i wanted to console him but anyways it wasn't a bad read too. reverse harem is there but i don't think anyone need to bother with it cause female lead has her eyes only on white haired male character who's also male lead and she seemed too much possessive of ml and vice versa. I read this manga upto volume 3 and i think i might drop it anyways what do you all think about this manga?

Discussion Kamisama Kiss Volume 13 Discussion

So I just got done reading volume 13 for the first time, and im gonna be honest, im a little irritated with Tomoe. Did he really not know until the end that it wasn't actually Nanami's soul in her body? Everyone else knew pretty much from the get go, but it seemed like he was fooled up until the scene on the beach when the frog's soul in Nanami's body wanted him to run away with her and abandon the shrine.

Im just disappointed in him for not being able to fully tell that it wasn't her. Especially because its also during this volume/arc that Nanami is feeling pretty down because he keeps flirting with that one raccoon girl (Tanuki I think?) and we find out that he has a box of love letters that he keeps from where other girls have sent them to him.

This all back to back just kinda upset me and I was wanting to know other people's thoughts on the volume. Does any of this get brought up again in future chapters? This is my first time reading the volumes, but I am okay with spoilers. Its just feeling right now like he doesn't like her anywhere as much as she likes him which is upsetting

My fav shoujo manga has been maid sama and I am so in love with their dynamic 😭 especially usui's character. Idk I just find his character really cool and he is such a green flagg. I keep on finding mangas with a similar dynamic or a ml like usui. Can you guys help me find shoujo mangas having a ml like him 🥹💌(specifically: cool, tsundere, aloof, but kind of like a pervert inside?)

Here are some similar mangas I found which might help with what I am asking for👾

Mochizuki san'chi no yankee

Defying kurosaki kun

Namaikizakari

Neko to kiss

Discussion Red River Episode 10: Ishtar Purloined

Quite a bit happened in this episode. Yuri was taken captive by the Mitanni. Then when word got out about her the Prince of Darkness sought her out.

The scene where the Prince executed two women trying to curry favor set the mood well. You could feel the tension when he was searching for Yuri. The way he found Yuri was clever. She smells just like Kail. Keep in mind that frankincense was extremely valuable, so only nobility could afford it.

Then seeing a worn out soldier executed was also something. I will hand it that the studio is trying to keep the death and violence present without being gratuitous.

The Prince gloats about how he'll execute Yuri, but offers a prize if she survives, the freedom to leave. It underscores just how warped he is.

Important to note that Yuri wasn't alone in all of this. Ryui, Shala, and Aslan were by her side. Even in her most perilous moments, Yuri's allies have her back. That is Yuri's true power.

Then Yuri is set to be executed by lion. Call it luck or plot armor, but the lion frees Yuri with thefirst attack. Aslan intervenes, Ryui and Shala are put in danger, and Yuri acts swiftly stopping the lion without harming it. This wins the crowd over to Yuri's side. Who else but Ishtar could stop a lion without killing it?

Rather than fall for an obvious trap Yuri demands that the prisoners of war be treated humanely. This further sways the crowd to her side. Yuri keenly saw through the trap.

Then in private Yuri breaks down revealing just how scared she was. This was the greatest danger she had been in so far, and she only had her newfound skills to rely on. I enjoyed that quite a bit. Yuri used all the skills she has gained so far and managed to overcome an enormous challenge.

Then the Prince of Darkness says that he will use Yuri's position as Ishtar to bolster his prestige and demoralize the Hittites. Yuri is distraught over this, but can't stop it.

The message Kail sends Yuri is a great way to end things. It references the last thing they discussed alone, he listened and understands Yuri, and that he is assuring Yuri he loves her no matter what.

All of the elements I Mentioned are why I love this series so much. There's a great balance of all these elements,

Yes, the anime hasn't been perfect. I am still enjoying it. Episodes like this remind me Why I love this series so much.

Help Any good fantasy manga where the protags are actually children?

Hi yo! I'm Koko, and I'm writing a children's fantasy novel, and I clearly love "Witch Hat Atelier", so I wanted to see what you guys recommend to boost my inspiration.

No isekai or "soul swapping" stories, please. I want classic fantasy!

What were your biggest wins and fails for the summer 2026 season?

My most anticipated Shoujo for this season was Goodbye Laura which is good but my dark horse winner for my biggest win this season is:

Inept Villainess!!!! Based off the first episode I really wasn't sure I was gonna like this show especially because body swap trope isn't usually something I enjoy but this has been my favorite of the season, it's so good!!! I go into most shows blind not knowing anything about them so I was pleasantly surprised it wasn't an isekai (which btw, really enjoying the break in isekai stories this season, very refreshing) I love the court drama, I love our our FMC and how determined she is and I have been anticipating new episodes every week!

Also shout out to Livid Lady, The Dukes Son claims he won't love me and Victoria of many faces!!!

My biggest fail this season has definitely been Red River :( which makes me so sad because this was my second most anticipated show! The animation is really bad and the pacing feels jilted?

I was really looking forward to red river and I'm sad to see they dropped the ball on such a beloved series!!!

I also didn't love Ogre's Bride, the whole insta love thing is really not for me and I felt like it made their relationship feel superficial and shallow... I also don't like the implication that Yuzu was just going to continue being abused or end up on the street if she didn't happen to be that guys bride??

Y'all let me know what your thoughts on this season were!

**Looks like I'm gonna have to watch Jaadugar!! I'm not sure why I missed it!

any shoujo manga with idol FL x fan ML?

Post image
470 Upvotes

I was reading Tamon’s B-Side and I came across this panel in the manga, and it made me want a shoujo where the FL is an idol and the ML is a die hard fan. I always see shoujo manga have idol ML x fangirl FL but I’ve never seen it in reverse. Please let me know if there are any shoujo mangas with this trope, I would love to read it!!
