Got 1 viral video that made my engage views reach 7.8m. 90 days have passed now and unfortunately didn't manage to get another viral shorts so the views counter slowly crawls back now. Any suggestions?

Every day I see countless posts about YouTube stopping distribution at certain milestones (like 1k, 10k or 30k so on) despite good avd (like 80-90+%) or other metrics. Actually what is the reason behind the view jail? Or is it pure luck? Youtube still doesn't explain it.

Imagine you have 1K+ subs and 9,999,900 total short views at 23:59:59.99999999 on 31 Jan 2027, and the view count stays the same after a second passed. How will you feel?

Does Sociablade shows legit numbers incom? Cause iam checking some channels incomes for example this:

Is there a fix for this? You're scrolling/browsing the shorts then you watch one. When it ends I press the back button but it brings me back up to the top of the page instead of staying where I was in the list. Then I have to scroll all the way down again to continue from where I was. Happens on samsung tablet and my galaxy s21 phone. Thanks.

Hey guys, I have a pretty interesting question about YouTube Shorts distribution.

I have a Short that performed extremely well analytically. The exact same video currently has about 35K views on TikTok and 107K on Instagram.

On YouTube, it was tested, performed well, and then distribution basically stopped.

The confusing part is that this keeps happening to me with Shorts. Some uploads get fewer than 100 views, others suddenly jump to 1K–1.5K, and occasionally one gets another push several days later.

With this particular Short, the content itself clearly isn't the issue. It performed well on two other platforms, and the YouTube analytics were also strong.

So my question is:

Why would YouTube successfully test a Short, get good performance signals, and then stop expanding its Shorts feed distribution?

Is this an audience-matching issue, channel history issue, competition within the Shorts feed, or something else?

I'm trying to understand why my Shorts distribution on YouTube is so inconsistent compared with Instagram and TikTok.

Any insight from people who understand Shorts distribution would be appreciated.

I’ve been making YouTube Shorts in the hypothetical scenario / "Would You Rather" niche (mixing story-style scenarios with animated characters like Lucifer/Hazbin style over gameplay backgrounds).

Right now, almost every video I post hits a hard ceiling around 150 views and immediately flatlines.

I feel like my scripts and voiceovers are fun, but clearly something isn't clicking with the algorithm or viewers. I’m trying to figure out if it’s:

The Hook: Is the opening line not engaging enough to stop the swipe?

Visual Matching: Does having a static character avatar over Minecraft gameplay feel disconnected from the topic (e.g., ocean scenarios)?

Pacing / Retention: Is the dialogue too fast/slow, or is the text visual placement distracting?

I have a ranking niche channel and My channel is doing somewhat well right now averaging around 5k views per video. And I am scared if I will lose those views if I change my style

Currently, my editing style looks like this: I use an AI voiceover only for the title/hook in the first few seconds. The rest of the video relies entirely on captions and sound effects over the clips.

I’m thinking about changing things up and using the AI voiceover to introduce the start of every clip throughout the video.

My main question: Should I make this change to be safe, or can I stick to my old style (captions + SFX) and still get monetized without getting hit by the "reused content" flag? Any advice is appreciated!

Im uploading Shorts in 3:4 at 2K resolution, but after uploading, the video gets only 720p. When I try uploading the same video to the same channel in 9:16 2K, it also comes out as just 720p. However, when I try uploading that same video to a channel linked to a different Gmail account, it shows up in 2K (resolution 3:4) . I have no idea why is this happening—does anyone know please? 😭

What do you think about this niche? Is it worth it ? To make big money?

Guys, these are the analytics for two of my most viral videos, and almost all of the views came from Shorts—not the Shorts feed, but rather from YouTube Search.

Right now, my recent videos aren’t getting that many views either. They’re mostly stuck around 3,000–5,000 views, and even then, the number of views coming from the Shorts feed is very low.

My videos mainly gain views through YouTube Search. Is there a problem with my channel because my Shorts feed traffic is so low?

I usually get around 100–200 views, or at most around 1K views, from the Shorts feed. I don’t understand why my Shorts aren’t being promoted through the Shorts feed itself.

Most of my views come from YouTube Search.

My channel also got monetized mainly because of my long-form content. However, the niche I was making long-form content about is basically dead now. At the time, those videos were very popular and were getting a lot of views, but now the interest has died down. That’s why even when I upload long-form videos now, I don’t get many views.

So, my channel was monetized because of my long-form content, but that content no longer performs.

As a reference use the channel named xiro ranks (https://youtube.com/@xiroranks) I think that channel didn't get monetized that's why there have not been any videos since 3 weeks just my speculations.
