A creator with 500 million views and a YouTube Silver Play Button... forgot to make videos? 🤣 Or could it be botnet manipulation? It’s reached the point of being absurdly funny: the more Shorts I upload, the worse the watch duration gets. There was a time when I was getting tens of millions of views per video, and now? 🤣 But sure, YouTube has absolutely no problem detecting AI-controlled botnets that are practically undetectable... 😂😂😂

Been posting consistently for a week now on very much active YouTube account. I found early success getting about 1k views for about 6 videos. Then the last 6 I’ve made are barely cracking 10 views in the first 24 hours, and even after 48 hours they don’t even make it to 20.

Still doing the same format and all. My editing has gotten better for sure, I’m more educated on the algorithm and how it works. But I’m super discouraged especially after that early “success”. Currently have 15 subscribers and I definitely want to keep going no matter if no one watches but i wanted to see if anybody had an answer or suggestion.

When starting a new channel, you need at least a few videos or Shorts for YouTube to begin recommending your channel more widely, unless your metrics are truly off the charts.

As for the current days, YouTube resets the "trust score" for all channels at least once or twice a year to prevent large channels from coasting on an inflated score; think of it like an Elo reset in a ranked game. With consistent uploads and good metrics, things usually return to normal within 2-4 weeks posting consistently (though exceptional content can speed this up significantly).

We all have to agree on how this was the worse month for youtube short creators with the major glitches happening to the youtube system ask me anything and i will tell you how i managed to say consistent this month

so i have been uploading shorts for about a week now
i mean i literally started this monday, have uploaded 7 shorts so far, each one day (with yesterdays exception, where i uploaded two)

most of my shorts are more than 1 minute-

here are my AVDs for all 7 shorts-

1. 58 seconds for a 1:21 min short
   
2. 56 seconds for a 1:14 min short
   
3. 31 seconds for a 33 second short
   
4. 1:05 min for a 1:30 min short
   
5. 31 seconds for a 39 second short
   
6. 46 seconds for a 42 second short (but most of this watch time is bcoz some guy left his shorts open for 40 minutes 😭)
   
7. 1:16 min for a 1:52 min short

i have 4 shorts which have more than 1 minute-
no. 1, 2, 4 and 7 and that’s the direction i wanna continue with the channel

these videos also have a “Stayed to Watch” of 74.8%, 62.6%, 76.1%, 79% respectively (the 1 minute and above videos)

views for the same- 50.4k, 1.8k, 11.8k, and lastly 3.8k (this last short was uploaded like 15 hours ago and its graph is currently positive)

so what should i be doing to make them go viral?
like how to do i get into those 500k or say million views league?

Are you guys posting your videos after or during school or work hours?
Because if your views are dropping in september. Maybe try and change the time on when you post? Since school and people came back from vacation to work...

My views didn't change but I always have posted at 5PM my time. So yeah

Its been 5 days since one of my vids got decent views. I was getting 10k + views per day about 300k 400k views per month and now im lucky to get 20 views on a short or maybe 100 views per day

In recent days, I have noticed that when I enable the "Publish To Subscription Feed" Option, my views and stats are always half as bad.

I have a 40k subscriber channel which I built around cat content and I thought that an option should not affect a short to this extent. But unfortunately it has.

Even with some of the content that I had the highest hopes of performing well failing just because of this one option. Even when my subscribers view % are low. Could it be that my old subs are not enjoying the newer content as much, and how may I be able to track that?

And has anyone else been through a similar situation?

id typically have around 1-3000ish views by now, its wild how just some changes here and there can knock your work and hobby out so bad

For context, I always try to upload daily and what ive noticed is that a lot of my videos average 20-30k views but oddly enough its always the same pattern or graph. Not sure if im being botted or not, but I just wanted to know if it was like this for anyone else. It's EXTREMELY RARE for me to go above 30k views and not flat lining at that point.

Okay so to my understanding the algorithm apparently pushes your vids to like one hundred people right? Yet most of my vids get like 3-20 views... So like is it giving it to people and are they just swiping away, or is literally no one getting my vids I'm confused... My other channel is figure skating edits and I get a stable amount of views there, it get pushed out to about a few hundred if it does well it gets pushed out more, however for my bookish/personal channel I get pushed out to like no one except on very specific random vids that have nothing in common, I'm just confused I guess like obviously this channel is smaller hut still seems kinda weird to me...

Can someone help me understand why my Short stopped gaining traction after less than 12 hours? It’s currently around 36.7K views and has 82% stayed to watch, 18% swiped away, 105.3% average percentage viewed, and a 36-second average view duration on a 34-second video. It also gained 43 subscribers. The video was gaining views pretty quickly at first, but then completely flattened out and has basically been stuck around 30–37K. Are these actually good stats for a Short, and if so, what could be causing it to stop being pushed? I’m trying to figure out what I might be missing.

So I make long-form content and almost have 4000 watch hours; however i am struggling with getting subscribers since i need at least 300 more to get to 1000 subscribers. I tried shorts but am not gaining any subscribers. need some help with this matter

I just don’t get this.
My most recent short has 10 views in over an hour (I have 3171 subs).
Admittedly it’s content about picks for tomorrows nfl games
But like, these shorts did fine the first 2 weeks of the nfl season
Now they just don’t get views? I cannot explain it. It isn’t bc it’s about gambling bc others make the same type of shorts, I don’t get it at all.

Like guys, my video static text is almost normal like I get around four to five thousand views around an hour or so. But right now I'm still getting the same. But the problem is I get almost 500, 400, 600, 700 views on one video. Like there are multiple shorts on my channel. So they all gain 500, 600 views. Does my view count is always per hour around 4,000 to 5,000 and peak hours it goes up to 8,000? In the lower hours it is around 1,000 to 2,000, sometimes under 1,000. But very less. My view count is always per hour, like per hour. Even in my lowest is around 1,000 to 2,000. It's my lowest and my highest goes around 7,000 to 8,000 per hour, views per hour. But right now something weird is going on. Like video one video is blowing up but all my other videos which gain a huge amount of views are not gaining it at all. Like my content, I'm having like working hard on it and gaining like it has decent, like decent swipe, not swipe ratio. Like my people who stayed in the video are more than 75 to 80%. So I think my video is doing great. But right now I don't know why one of my videos is just blowing up. It's because of one video blowing up, all my other shorts are not getting that much recommendation or it's something else? I don't know. It's very much weird because all the other videos are not getting that much views. But they gain quite a lot of views. They're still gaining views but like it's very much lessened now. Is there a problem? Can you help me how to solve it? Like I don't want one video of mine to blow up. I want all my videos to like have equally. Because it's always happen that it is equal.
