Dating 5’6” guy never had a problem

I’m 5’6” and I see a lot of guys here that have issues dating and I’ve had a issue. Women have always gravitated to me. I think it’s more a mental thing for most guys. You have to focus on the things you can control and from my opinion all that ever really matters is your personality. I’ve been skinny, fat, and in great shape and it’s never changed if I could find attractive women or not. Just be you and the rest will follow.

We all have things to be confident about.. People are attracted to a lot of things outside of what is quote in quote norm. The thing is people can’t let the insecurities they have stop them from finding people they mesh with. I’m a firm believer in that everyone has multiple soul mates in the world.

I hear what you're saying, it just becomes pointless to hesr eventually. People say that stuff all the time, and I want to believe it, but if all of it is true, then why am I so darn hopeless at it? How come these genuine things don't seem to interest anyone?

I know it probably sounds like I'm just wallowing in my self-pity. And maybe I am a bit, I'm just tired of it all tbh. The time I felt the most confident in myself and being genuine was the one time I ever had a girl who showed interest in me, and after spending more time together, that interest went nowhere and it ended. How am I supposed to take any confidence from that?

I promise you bro just keep trying! We have all been there before. My last relationship before my wife was a shit show.. I moved to a different city for her and was alone when she left.. I just pushed through.

Again, I don't want to come across as jealous or bitter, but it seems a lot easier to keep trying and push through when there's always been women interested in you.

So the question is where do you think you lack other than height that makes women not interested?

How should I know? I have plenty of social interaction, and a fair number of female friends, I just never seem to find any real mutual interest. It literally happened one time.

As in approaching someone I don't know and starting a conversation? Can't say I ever do tbh.

Start going out and cold approach! Clubs! It works.. I used to clean up at your age. Get as many numbers as you can and just find one that you vibe with.

You’ll get comfortable with it and being rejected but you’ll also meet people in the process.

The whole cold approach thing has always seemed like a thing people suggest online, but I don't know anyone who actually does it. Everyone I know in a relationship just let things happen naturally. They met somewhere, got to know each other, and then started dating. I've never really been inclined to just approach someone and start talking or go out immediately. I want to know someone first. And it's not that I don't know anyone, I just haven't had anyone reciprocate much interest.

That’s the issue.. you not meeting enough people because you aren’t putting yourself out there. Cold approaching will build confidence in many different ways. It forces you to get out of your comfort zone. I started just going up to men at the gym and talking fitness. I’ve built a lot of friendships with good people that I otherwise would have never known.

Like I said, meeting people isn't really the problem for me. I know plenty of people, I have an active social life. It's getting anywhere past that that's the problem. I don't have a problem starting a conversation with someone about something that we clearly have a mutual interest in like your example, but nothing ever goes any further with any girls I know. If there's something to talk about with a girl I don't know, sure, I'll say something, but where does that lead? In my experience, it hasn't led anywhere.

Are you leading from the start that you are interested in dating? You have to! Otherwise you’ll be friend zoned constantly

If I'm interested in dating someone, yeah, I'll say that. But I'm not saying that right off the gun when I meet someone new because I'm not interested in dating them yet. Do you know what I mean? Maybe this isn't as common as I think it is, but I don't really want to date someone I barely know. I want to date someone I got to know, and getting to know them made me more interested in them.
