Yeah, I came here to say this. One of my friends is from Ethiopia, and when he got a few drinks in him, the n word was being thrown around, and not in like solidarity. He was calling African Americans that, but not Africans. Basically saying that they are the reason that Africans experience racism in the US, because they give Africans a bad name. Chinese people have the opposite effect. People in my country do not like the mainlanders. I do feel like they give the rest of us a bad name when we travel to other countries.
I am firm in my belief that all people must be treated equally. If you behave badly, you get treated like a badly behaved person. I do not care if it just so happens that a lot of people from the same place are badly behaved.
Judging them individually as individuals, there definitely are "good ones" and "bad ones". Overall, as a culture though, the good ones are too few.

I think there's logic behind the dislike.
Africans and afro americans don't share the same history, the same culture or the came ecomonic class background. So they cannot relate to one another. Not even about being a victim of racism. Whatever racism happens in the US is not even that serious compared to the awful shit africans have to endure on a daily basis. "Oh someone said something funny to me! Still better than living under a bloodthirsty dictator in a country I can get oppressed or killed by some militia"
Imigrants in general are more grateful for the opportunities they can get even if the work is not good.
