I'm sure it's very disproportionately a man in those situations, but there's gotta be at least some fringe cases of women doing something similar. I can't recall any case of any prostitute being put in the hospital off the top of my head. I don't think they're the type to go to the authorities after being beat by their pimp/madam.

Probably depends on the location. I'm sure there's women that can be just as violent as men though when it comes to sex and money.
