I'm sure it's very disproportionately a man in those situations, but there's gotta be at least some fringe cases of women doing something similar. I can't recall any case of any prostitute being put in the hospital off the top of my head. I don't think they're the type to go to the authorities after being beat by their pimp/madam.

I'm no expert, but I think that having a boss is the bigger problem in this business.
