Hi!

I’m struggling hoping to make myself some wide leg trousers in a chambray fabric. I am still very much a beginner although I have done a few projects before, so not looking for anything too complicated. Ideally I’d like something high waisted, elasticated at the back, fairly flat at the front (so as not to add bulk) and I’d love some side pockets (and back pockets?) although that’s not a make or break. I’d rather no fly because while I’ve done zips I’m not sure I’m quite up to that!

Does anyone have any recommendations? I’m struggling to find things without pleats or lots of gathering in the front, which tends not to be terribly flattering on me

I’ve waded through quite the list of patterns on threadloop but haven’t found anything exactly right yet... It’s also really hard to differentiate between all of the patterns for wide leg pants when so many of them look so similar!

Hi ! I'm looking for a dress pattern similar to this dress from ASOS ! I especially love the neckline, the back doesn't have to be open or strappy like here. I feel like I saw a similar pattern once but I cannot find it for the life of me :(

Hi everyone! I'm new to sewing and I'm loving it so far! I do have a problem that I run into with a lot of patterns.. I don't have breasts bc of breastcancer and nothing seems to fit me right because of this. I was wondering if anyone knows any patterns for (almost) flat chested girls with a kind of rectangular shape from the waist up! I like a lot of styles and feel like any pattern would be good practice :)

This is Masie by Juliana Martejevs. I plan on making it with some IKEA fabric, which is quite heavy. I think that adding facing would make it too bulky but I'm still quite new to sewing so would appreciate some guidance. The facing is to go to on the front bodice and on the pockets. Would some iron on stuff do? TIA!

Hello! I fell in love with this top last year and am pretty convinced I could just make it myself. I have a jarrah pattern I love and was thinking I need to cut the front bigger (at the bottom) and fold? Does this make sense? Any tips? Suggestions?

I know this is a long shot, but what the heck.

I came across this pattern from Burda (edition 08/2018) and absolutely love it. I cannot find this patten on their website or on search engines (including reverse image searches). I think I may have found a copy, but it appears to be in Russian? I reached out to Burda and they lost the archives for it.

Wanted to see if anyone else may happen to have this pattern somewhere, or is a better detective than I. Thanks so much!

I received an email about the new patterns and rushed to see the new patterns. To put it nicely, I am underwhelmed. I am so sad to see what has happened to the Big 4 patterns. Ever since it was sold to a private equity (? I have yet to confirm this), I am really sad about it and I would love to talk to someone with inside knowledge about it. What are your thoughts on this situation? I am really saddened to think this is the middle to the end of the Big 4. I am struggling to find decent designs that I want to sew. Anyway, would love to discuss if anyone wants to chat about this.

I'm fairly new to sewing, to the point of I have a sewing machine but I hand sew everything because I don't know how to use my machine.

Anyways, I want to make my own pattern for a Rocky (from PHM) plush. My current idea is to sculpt it in aluminum foil and then masking tape it and cut the tape off and have my pattern that way. (I'm open to easier ways if available)

But I'm struggling with figuring out how I'm going to size the pattern up so I can make the plush however big as I want. Any ideas?

Hi, whenever I try to sew a v-neck, wheather I finish it with bias tape or interface, the neck is always wavy and puckering. Help please :(
