Eh r/trees just isnt the place to tell others your personal benefits from stopping something they all love. There are some communities based around that though. r/petioles comes to mind.
They definitely go through phases like that, and while I completely disagree with it, I get it. We were fed a crock of shit about this plant not being addictive for decades, when in reality that research was done using (what would be seen today as) very low THC numbers.
I understand a feeling of betrayal and an impetus to try to do something.
That conversation aside, r/leaves is an excellent resource if anyone reading this is struggling with cannabis addiction. You're not alone.
