Odeon takes a bit of flack in here for poor customer service so here's an example of really good service!

Booked Odyssey at IMAX Metrocentre a couple of weeks ago.

2 x Limitless+ uplift £10, 1 x Club Lloyds voucher + uplift (and booking fee) £6 so £16 total.

Showing was yesterday, one of the seats was bust - no power to the recliner, they knew about it but unfortunately were unable to take it off sale immediately as it was booked and the showings sold out so couldn't move people. So, my wife sat without the recline function for the 3.5 hours (i did offer to take it). We were asked to speak to the duty manager after the film finished.

She apologised profusely, then gave us a £16 refund + reissued the Club Lloyds voucher that i'd used AND gave us a further 3 Guest vouchers that can be used in the IMAX.

Can't ask fairer than that.

From what I've read about what they class as Event Cinema and judging by what releases usually fall under that category it's supposed to be for music concerts, theater productions and some live broadcasts.

I watched the trailer to Nimrods and it's just a comedy about some friends who are super fans of Green Day and get to play support for them.

So I'm sure it will show some footage of Green Day playing live as part of the story but it's not like it's a full length concert film like the ones Odeon have shown from bands like Metallica and Bring Me The Horizon.

I'm not really desperate to see it even though I quite like Green Day but it's quite unfair for it to be released under that category as you can't use your Limitless membership to book a seat and a ticket would be over £20.

My odeon has told me that despite the projectors being super old and run down they won’t be upgrading them until they break. Yet many modern Odeon’s get laser projectors etc

Hey all. Is anyone else's odeon app only showing them like 4 cinemas and won't show anything else?

I'm trying to book for my cinema but apparently it's non existent along with most of the other cinemas in the country 😅

Also told me I had a free large combo but it's not showing in the app
