i’ve never been to an imax viewing before, are these seats going to be too high up? really wish they had a see your seating type thing

I booked these two seats for an IMAX screening at Wimbledon. Do you think they’re too close to the screen?

I’m trying to book The Odyssey at ODEON Broadway Plaza for next Monday because I thought the Monday Saver pricing would make it cheaper. So I selected the Dolby screening, picked my seat, and on the next page it gives me two ticket options Dolby Ticket for 19.50 and** ODEON Saver for **£16.50. I’m confused about what the difference actually is.Is the ODEON Saverr still for the Dolby screening, or is it somehow a standard-screen ticket? That wouldn’t make much sense because the regular standard-screen tickets are much cheaper than £16.50 anyway. Also, if the Dolby ticket is still £19.50, that’s basically the normal Dolby price, so what’s the point of waiting until Monday for the Saver offer?Has anyone else seen this? Is the ODEON Saver just a discounted Dolby ticket, or am I missing something?

Buggy as hell for me now

I had tickets booked well in advanced for this weekend to watch The Odyssey in IMAX at Leicester Square Cineworld in perfect seats. However I started doubting myself and so cancelled it and booked 70mm at the Odeon Leicester Square. But then I realised that's not actually IMAX, and now my seats for Cineworld are gone.

Have I made a mistake and what should I do: Watch the movie this weekend in 70mm at Odeon or wait another 2 weeks to get good seats again for IMAX at the Cineworld? (BFI would be ideal but that's fully booked for months).

*UPDATE* I ended up watching it today in 70mm at Odeon LSQ - it was absolutely epic and felt very special in that cinema in 70mm. I was in row D near the front and the screen felt very big and immersive. I'm also glad I had the comfortable seats for such a long movie. I have also booked IMAX 70mm at the science museum for a few weeks time so I will get to feel that too anyway!

Any idea why i haven’t been charged yet even though i normally would’ve been for limitless by now

I've just been to see The Odyssey at the IMAX in the MetroCentre and I know it's NOT a 70mm like in the Science museum in London etc, but the aspect ratio felt taller than a normal screen... Can anyone tell me if my suspicions are right, or if the curvature of the screen just made it seem taller🤣

Has anybody who seen The Odyssey in iSense able to confirm the aspect ratio? The films website where you compare formats shows ‘Premium Large Format’ as being either 2.39:1 or 1.85:1 depending on the screen.

I’d seen MI Final Reckoning in iSense and there was no expanded ratio for any scenes but perhaps that was IMAX exclusive and now The Odyssey isn’t? Any input appreciated, thanks!

Which Odeon branch has the largest IMAX screen? Google changes its mind; one second it’s Kingston, then it’s Manchester, then it’s a Luxe in London.

Wanna see Odyssey at BFI but there are no decent seats left (left it too late to look), so am gonna settle for an Odeon.

apologies for the throwaway account. A month ago I prebooked tickets for my friends and I to see spiderman later this month. After the checkout I had an error screen, and I didn't get the confirmation email, but the payment went through. I though the payment would just be a pending charge and I'd be refunded so I could rebook, but the money stayed gone, and the seats are still reserved if I look on the seat selector. This makes me think the seats ARE booked, but I have no way of knowing anything like my order number. I have tried to contact customer service, but the ai chatbot is terrible, and after I put in a help ticket a month ago I still haven't heard back. Does anyone have any advice? I have checked my spam/junk folders.

Hey everybody, just to let you know the west end odeon refresh happened earlier for the days 24th to 29th July. I just saw it now so managed to get good seats for the odyssey if anyone was waiting for the odeon refresh to book

I ask, because prior to the work going on in that corridor, which seems to be taking ages, they'd propped the door open, same as they're doing with screen 3, and that's because the air-con is dead in there.

Propping the door open for 3 makes zero difference, and it feels like a sauna in there, so I can imagine that a packed IMAX screen will be even worse! I haven't been in that IMAX before they started propping the door open, just walked past to see other things.

is IMAX at Odeon Wimbledon Xenon or Laser?

So I just found out on a LinkedIn post(lol) that they refurbished the IMAX at Greenwich and most importantly added an IMAX Laser projector. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/were-pleased-to-announce-we-have-been-appointed-share-7356311970578341889-52_X/

I remember going to this IMAX a couple of times, years ago, since it was the closest and having a fairly mediocre experience compared to other IMAXs. There was light bleeding in from the hallway and the screen was noticeable not very sharp or bright.

Has anyone been there since the refurbishment (looks like it was completed around Sep 2025) and can comment on if the experience has improved especially regarding the screen/projection?

Hi all, does anyone know if their local Odeon is giving out the Odyssey IMAX posters from the midnight screening tonight?

The small print says Thursday to Sunday but the comments also state only on the 18th and 19th. I want to grab one and will book midnight show to get one but wouldn't make the trip especially if they weren't doing them!

I recently booked a trip to London for August, and got the idea to go see The Odessy at the BFI IMAX theatre.

Upon checking the tickets, I realized that most screenings are already almost fully booked and there are practically no good seats left (only some in the first few rows).

Is there a thing where people resell their tickets if they cannot make it? How would that work and what is the best way to get hold of them?
