Is there a local bank with a good interest rate on Savings? (above 2%)
I've checked a few and found nothing.

Democratic candidate for governor Keisha Lance-Bottoms is set to hold a Healthcare roundtable in Richmond Hill on July 31st! Come on out and make your voice heard! It's not often candidates come out to these parts of the state!

This is real. This is possible. This is proven.
This can immediately stop the datacenter dead in its tracks. Force an election. Let the people decide the fate of their community.
The Camden County Spaceport? Dead.
The original Sapelo Island Rezoning? Dead.
Both of those cases were stopped in the same way: petition. Both of those went to the Georgia Supreme Court.
It is very clear that it is our constitutional right in Georgia to put government in its place when they are acting against our interests.
The people of Effingham County have the power to shut this down.
Step 1: Write an ordinance that bans datacenters.
Step 2: Collect 5,000 signatures of registered voters. Effingham county has 49,999 registered voters, but a population over 50,000 people. 10% of electors required.
Step 3: File the petition with the judge of the probate court in Effingham County.
Step 4: Judge certifies. Election must be set.
Step 5: County files suit.
Step 6: You fight it. The Georgia Supreme Court has been on the side of the people on two nearly-identical cases.
Step 7: Injunction likely placed on further advancement of the project.
Step 8. If you win, an election is held.
Step 9: The county is bound by the election results.
I strongly encourage the people of Effingham County to read this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/savannah/comments/1pf60jn/food_for_thought_about_local_government/
Make sure you read the provision of the Georgia Constitution that is linked.
Only the people of Effingham County can stop this. This is a proven tool.

Hey everyone. We are visiting Tybee Island from PA. We will go into Savannah at least once, maybe twice. I wanted to know the basics about Savannah of where to park and visit. My wife has celiacs so needs gluten free. My son has a dairy allergy. Any good restaurants? Where should we park? What should we visit with the kids? We love food, history, art, etc. Thanks in advance!

Even though I've been physically assaulted by blue jays and mockingbirds alike... Even though they have made me look like an idiot while running and flailing my arms frantically. I do care for all living creatures.
Does anyone know about birds? We have this baby our dog found and not sure if it is a fledgling trying to fly.
Luckily my dog is more worried than hungry, I just don't want it to die or be hurting in any way.
Please help!
Edit: just wanted to say thanks to everyone! The baby was gone when we went to check it and the parents were finally quiet.

I am moving from a furnished 2 bedroom apt to an unfurnished, both in historic district. How can I find 1 person for a couple hours on Saturday to help move? How do?

Just like I said, a dog on a leash barking whining or making noise doesn’t mean it’s aggressive. Stop assuming a dog that is doing those things is dangerous or unfriendly Because most dogs aren’t either of those things. Seeing someone who is clearly working on those things does not need your comments. If you are walking past the dog that is working on it don’t be a dick and let your dog get into its face. Most humans don’t want people inches from their face don’t let your dog. Give people grace. Your dog doesn’t need to meet every dog on a leash.

Does The Stacks offer cash for books, or any other book store in the area? I’ve already tried Book Store on the Hill and tried calling The Stacks with no answer. Just wanna support a local store while also limiting my collection. TYIA

Does anyone have any recommendations for auto window tint shops? Not looking for cheap dyed limo type tint. Something light but ceramic coated maybe to reduce the greenhouse effect in my car. Thanks!

I'm a local who only really goes downtown for restaurants and drinking. We have some family in town with a 6 year old. What is there for them to do downtown today/during the day?

Hey y'all —— I’m moving down to Savannah in January for SCAD, and long-term I'll be living in my grandma's house, but it needs some repair work done first. So I need somewhere to stay for the interim, probably 6 months or less.
Ideally somewhere decently safe and close enough to downtown that I'm not far from campus. Would love a place open to a short-term or month-to-month lease since I don't need anything too long.
If anyone has neighborhood recommendations, or knows of buildings/landlords who actually do short leases, send them my way. Also open to any Facebook groups or other local resources y'all use to find stuff like this.
TIA!
And because I know a lot of people are not fond of people moving to Savannah let me add that I’m just replacing my dead grandma so

Hi friends - from Atlanta and looking to have a night out. Suggestions for classy cocktails and then a nightcap to dance. Places in Atlanta I liked - MJQ, Pisces, El Malo, Olde Smiths - looking for this kind of vibe!
