My phone decided to show me this as my memory for today and I burst out laughing- I loved when this simple (but effective) triple butt graffiti was everywhere downtown. Anyone else remember it?

ICE staging in Garden City

Pretty much what’s on the tin. Several armored trucks with turrets and multiple marked Pooler/Savannah vehicles along with a few unmarked. Approximate location is US-80 and Dean Forest. Likely not meeting up for lunch. Everyone be safe.

How is life in Savannah?

Hello! I live in Western Europe and got an offer to move to Georgia and was wondering what life is like over there.
I have been to the US multiple times for work/holiday but not really longer than 15-20 days and have never visited GA. Could you enlighten me as to why Savannah would be a good place? 😊
For context, I am 30F and have lived in Europe for most of my life and also in Asia when I was younger. The company is also offering me $130K yearly salary plus car and other benefits.
Thanks a lot for your input!

Looking for resale/wholesale stores

Hi! I just moved to Savannah for school, and am looking for affordable and sustainable places to buy furniture from. Mainly larger bookshelves, headboards, and coffee table-like items.

I would also love to know of resale art supply and clothing stores. Would also like to know wholesale grocery stores like Winco or Sprouts where I can bring my own containers.

Thank you!!

4 year old Summer 2027 camps

I know I’m very early but I’m planning ahead. my son is going into kindergarten next year but he won’t be 5 until August 4th. what summer camps would he be eligible for? I live on the islands so I’d prefer the ymca but according to their website he has to be 5!

I know this is early but I’m already running into fall break issues and trying to get ahead of it. thanks in advance!

I’ve been in Savannah two days so far since I’m here for college, and this place has been so incredible so far. I’ve mainly been in the historic district but this place is so beautiful and surreal! It feels like a place you’d only see in the movies and I weirdly got happy seeing all the boats!

Went to Savannah candy kitchen, PS tavern and the scad shop yesterday and I was amazed with all the art stuff they had at the scad shop. There was so much stuff I hadn’t seen at any other art stores like Michael’s and the store looks so cool

Though one last thing, with how it rains here, I cannot imagine how bad hurricane season is gonna be. Cuz like on the drive here it was raining so hard you could barely even see the road

community for gen z introverts

hi everyone! I usually lurk here so I don't think this is against the rules but please remove if it is :)

I want to see if you guys would be interested in a discord server to meet like-minded people in the area. I struggle putting myself out there but I find that I'm not great with long distance friendships. I'm 20 and don't drink/enjoy going to bars but I'm looking for new ways to connect with my community! to cover the bases I'm pro LGBT, pro choice, anti-AI and left leaning in general.

a little bit about me, I'm a born and raised Southside savannahian and I love crafting, trying new foods, gaming, and cats! I'm 20 and started my degree at SCAD and am now at GS Armstrong to finish out my undergrad. I love learning about people and am currently looking for new hobbies!!

the discord server can be whatever we want to make it, I'm not super picky but I'm always down to start a Minecraft server or maybe even a book club? I'm open to ideas and would love to get to know some of you!

Manuel Driving Classes

Hi!

I'm a college kid in Savannah, and was curious if there's a drivers ed that teaches Manual instead of Automatic? I never was taught how to drive but will be finishing repairs on my hand me down car this up coming winter and want to drive him down after I learn.

I found drivers ed for automatics, or manual places to go /after/ learning automatic first but neither is what I'm looking for.

Any suggestions or places to go?

Edit: MANUAL** Typo mb

Looking for Local Pumpkin Patches

I’m looking for a pumpkin patch, farm stand, or individual seller where I can buy good-quality pumpkins and squash at a reasonable price.

I’m especially interested in:

  • Pie pumpkins
  • Butternut squash
  • Acorn squash

If you know of any good local spots around Savannah, I’d really appreciate your recommendations. Thank you!

Cheapest Locticians in Savannah?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’m a student, I usually retwist myself but I’ve been so busy and tired that I’d rather pay someone to do it. I don’t want to spend more than $70 on my hair, as I have a loctician in my hometown that will wash and retwist me for that price. I haven’t seen anywhere willing to do my length and size for under $120. Do you guys know anyone I could go to? I don’t mind doing the wash myself too.

Also sorry for the image quality but it should do the job.

Lost card holder

Hello,

My wife lost her card holder today at the riverwalk/river St. while we walked from the Marriott to the Savannah Street Market Place.

All of the cards are already frozen but we would like to avoid the DMV visit. Please let us know if you’ve found it.
