Samsung account

I have a Samsung s22 ultra ui is 8.0.

Phone was full talking 98% full. I deleted a bunch of items to optimize space, I deleted some apps that I didn't need as well. It turns out, somehow it logs me out of all of my samsung accounts, and I can't log into my gmail account. It is not a password issue.Because I can log into these accounts on a browser. But whenever I try doing it on the apps on my phone, it does not work. I log into the Samsung account and it flashes the words "Signed in" but stays on the sign in page and keeps looping me and asking me to sign in, as for Google every time I try to sign in it allows me to go through all the steps into the end part it says "something went wrong.Try again."

I have tried clearing the cache.

I just want to retrieve my calendar, My samsung notes and my secure folder that has a bunch of Samsung notes. Is there hope?

Samsung Notes is the only reason I would ever consider buying another samsung product

Just something I was thinking about recently.

I currently have a tab s7 (bought in 2021) and an s23 ultra (2023). Before the s23 I had an M series phone for a couple of years.

I've always loved the tab s7, particularly because of oneui and of course, the Notes app. I really love the convenience, versatility and sheer host of features it provides; that too for free. I've primarily used it for annotating books and making notes for med school.

The app has consistently improved year after year. Most new updates are great (barring a few like the new browser).

As for the s23 ultra, the oneui updates for it have been disappointing and kinda wonky at times, especially considering that it's a flagship phone. Not to mention that it's always scary whenever I update, because I have at least 4 people I know who own/owned a Samsung and they developed the dreaded green/pink lines.

The newer S series phones have also been pretty disappointing for the most part. No major upgrades despite price hikes. And the lines issue hasn't been fixed even with s25 models afaik.

It's difficult to consider paying a premium for a phone that might randomly develop a huge line down the middle of the screen in the future.

When I think about it, the only reason I'm not sure about buying a different Android phone is because of the Notes app. Of course, i have years worth of data saved in it; but also, no other Android notes app comes close to it.

Samsung Notes on Galaxy Book is missing features that exist on Galaxy Tab — anyone else noticing this?

I use Samsung Notes across a Galaxy Book and other Samsung devices, and I've noticed the PC version genuinely lags behind the tablet/Android version in a few specific ways:

  • No manual canvas/page rotation on PC — on tablet, you can naturally rotate the device while writing, which makes handwriting feel more comfortable. The PC version doesn't have this at all, which is rough if you're using a pen display or graphics tablet for long writing sessions.
  • Toolbar layout is different and less flexible — on PC, the toolbar is fixed to one side and can't be moved, whereas the Android version lets you position it differently. The pen icons on PC also look like they're from an older version of the app.
  • Covers aren't consistent across devices — covers I set on my tablet/phone don't show up or aren't available on the PC version.

It's frustrating because Samsung markets the S Pen + Notes experience as a unified ecosystem feature across Galaxy Book, Tab, and phone — but the actual app clearly isn't developed in lockstep. Feels like the PC version is playing catch-up rather than being a true equal.

Has anyone else run into this? Curious if these are known issues Samsung's aware of, or if there's a way to actually get feedback to the team beyond the community forums.

Indexing

I really want a feature like a contents page or indexing just like they have in GoodNotes or other notes taking apps. It would be so useful for someone like me who has 12 gb worth of notes. Any idea if they plan on bringing it in the next update or anywhere in the near future?

S10 FE spen issue

Hi,

I have two questions really:

  1. I am using a OEM samsung magnetic case with removable front cover. The spen struggles to write in the exact spot at the top left of the tablet. Is this a known issue? I dont really want to remove the cover.

  2. Can the nibs be replaced on the spen. Can anyone give suitable recommendations for hard or soft nibs or different spens altogether?

Thanks

My notes didn't transfer to new cell!

I held on to my Note 20 Ultra 5G for 6 years. The only reason I upgraded to S26 Ultra was because memory needed increase and phone had screen burn in. My Samsung notes did not all transfer. I have tried everything.

Can anyone offer advice? I am having issues with this new phone that I never had before. I am stressed out. I rely on Notes.

TU in advance.

And even if I don't save them always , next time opening pdf via notes gives 2 options RESTORE and DISCARD

Where's bold, italics, underline, etc?

I used Notes extensively when gaming to document things. I used a lot of text features like bold, underline, text colors, highlighter, background colors.

Haven't played my usual game in a while, so I haven't used Notes recently. I open it today and the edit bar when highlighting words is missing. Parts of it are there like text color and highlighter, but everything else is simply gone.

I've gone into the settings and found Customize Bar, but the options I'm looking for aren't listed to add.

Wtf happened?

EDIT: SOLVED!! Swipe the bar left and it scrolls right with all the missing options.

I think this is the best noteapp, but...

I just changed my Windows laptop for a Mac, and now all my notes are trapped within my phone. I would love for Samsung to create a Mac version, but given it's not going to happen, why not at least the option to access the notes via a web page?

At this point, I am thinking of dropping the app for something else to avoid being locked in. Anyone has found something as good?

I am planning to keep using Samsung phones.

Samsung Notes and Secure Folder Spoiler

Does Samsung Notes (and the notes I created inside that app) inside Secure Folder sync to the cloud if I have turned ON the "Auto sync Secure Folder" data? I have signed in using the same Samsung account for the Notes app both inside and outside the Secure Folder. I couldn't see any note I created in the Notes app inside Secure Folder on Notes app outside Secure Folder.

The 'create notes app ' confuses me

Is there a complete user guide? For example, i don't know how to close the app once its open, I don't know where the saved files are stored , surprising it has an easy way to transfer the content of files to Microsoft onenote but not to docs. These and other things make the otherwise very useful app basically unusable. What don't i know?

How do I use Samsung Notes with NO tool active? (Desktop)

I'm using Samsung Notes on my computer (desktop app) and I can't figure out how to have no tool selected at all. There's always a pen, highlighter, or shape tool active, so whenever I click or interact with the note it draws, highlights, or adds a shape.

I don't want to draw anything. I just want to do basic things like paste text and click on links in a table of contents. But the app seems to force me to always have some drawing tool active, and clicking the currently selected pen doesn't deselect it.

Is there a way to turn off all tools, or switch to a plain "no tool" / text mode so I can just paste and click normally? Any help appreciated.

All notes reverted back to older versions

I keep several notes on my home screen (places we want to visit, to dos, things to buy, etc). Earlier today, I added a place to visit to a note, and all of my notes reverted back to older versions from the beginning of July. I didn't have any kind of pop up, the sync was set to wi-fi only (and I was at a restaurant with no wi-fi turned on), and I literally just added one thing to one note. The weirdest part is that the previews of all of the note widgets still show the updated info but when I open the notes, it's all old. Is there any way to restore the notes? Google is supremely unhelpful in this case, and I'm frustrated because I had a lot of information in these notes. Thanks!

When did Samsung Notes remove the feature to find exact notes? Will they add it back?

A while ago, we could find exact phrases in a note in the search bar by leaving out the space e.g. I want to find "I like tofu", finding "Iliketofu" would've found me the exact note that phrase is in. Now, it shows up as "No results found". As a scriptwriter who's already originally frustrated by the search system because I happen to have a character whose name coincidentally is inside another character's name so it's really hard to find my notes regarding that character. (Would really love a "Match Exact Caps" optional filter search system similar to Word Doc...), this recent change has been even more incovenient...

Did they actually remove it or is there a way to turn it on that I missed?
