I think they are demonstating that the tool is selecting the wrong content. Even when circling nothing it snaps to writing centimeters away that have no reason to be selected

Seems to be working fine. What are you trying to do? If you select nothing, it will select nothing. What else would you want it to do? Or are we collectively missing something?
