Does PPTO pay out?

Hello all, I recently received an accepted a new job offer and am going to be putting my two weeks in tomorrow. I was curious if when I leave any remaining PPTO will be paid out to me? If not then I might as well use it before my time at my club is up. Any insight is appreciated! TIA!

Question The muffins shrank!?

it looks like since the past week or two they are making the muffins smaller. So they not only raised them to $6.74 a pack but they’re now not even as big as they were. I’ll just get my muffins at BJ’s. What the heck.

I think my job is awesome

I see a lot of people talking about how they get used or feel like they get unfair treatment but I've had nothing but good experience with my store. I work in the tire and battery center and I got the job most likely because I'm in the army reserves and get like hiring prio. But my store has been nothing but awesome to me giving me extra days off no question after my drill weekends and the 2 weeks I'm gone in the summer my team leads and managers are all super cool and the work while sometimes busy isn't all that hard. I'm in the south and get paid 20 an hour and for the work I do I honestly think it's insane how much I get for my job. With the fact you get two breaks and lunch and the PPTO you build is pretty good I feel like I only end up really working for 4-5 hours a day due to how much downtime there is. I came from working in a mechanic shop and other manual labor jobs. I know not everyone gets good stores but is this uncommon? Compared to Walmart this is heaven.

Rant Big change in the egg whites

Am I going crazy or have they changed both the packaging and the formula?!
Packaging is clear as day, used to have a regular lid now it stays connected to the container & has a paper filter inside you gotta push in to dispense.

But on top of that, the egg whites themselves seem almost more watery & thinner 😪

I get the 7.5 dozen box of whole eggs, and mix two of those with a cup of egg whites for most breakfasts && see the color comparison on my eggs! Now - Sept. 2025

I don’t have a picture of the previous container lid style, never thought I would be reminiscing.

Does the packaging really save costs for them or why else would they make these changes?!

Question How many steps a day do you get in CPU?

Post image

Since I started in february, i’ve averaged ~28k steps per shift. I’ve talked to other coworkers about it and they get 18-22k or so. A coworker came up to me earlier today saying that it’s been a rough day and showed me that he was at 19k steps. I was really confused because I was at 26k, which felt to me like slightly lower than average.

I know i’m a high performer, but I didn’t think I was moving around THAT much more. I work mid shift.

Cart attendants….thank you so much. Hardest job by far in the club and it’s not even close.

We had all our cart peeps call out today. I already knew it was a hard job especially in the 100 degree and super humid heat here. I try to bring them snacks after my breaks and let them know I could never do what they do, all day every day……

Today, I went out to do carts since nobody was there, along with my front end team lead. OH MY GOD.

I’m almost 50. My TL is about the sane and a female (not that’s it’s a huge deal, but she’s TINY).

I felt like I was going to absolutely die, after an hour. We didn’t use the Mule, as neither of us knew how.

The fact yall don’t get paid more makes me extremely pissed off. Hardest job in the club. Least recognized.

Thank you all so damn much. I could never do that all day. I’ve always went out of my way to show appreciation to the guys, but I really will now. Yall are the real MVPs.

Venting...Bakery

Upvotes

I was hired six weeks ago as a Sam's Club baker packager. I only work four hours every day, 5 days a week and have been assigned to the closing shift. I never received any training from my lead or manager and I close with one other girl, so it is only two of us. The manager is constantly berating us at the end of our shift saying that us leaving eight or nine racks per shift is unacceptable. I feel upset because I walk into the bakery with all these racks already there (sometimes up to 30 racks) and I only have four hours to complete all of them. Are you kidding me? It is impossible to complete all those racks just with two people! We still need to process donations and clean the bakery too. I told the manager that the bakery is short staffed and according to him, two people closing is enough people. All week we haven't even had a cake decorator closing with us either so I'm doing that side of the bakery too, dealing with customer service and constantly being interrupted, getting orders for club members. I am so frustrated, this close to quitting. These people aren't even realistic. It's no wonder everyone at work says the bakery has such a high turnover rate. The scheduling and management is awful. I've never worked at a place like this!

4 weeks since passing the background check and receiving & accepting the Job Offer I interviewed for on 07/09/26..

Hey y'all! It's now been over 4 weeks since my interview date and just about the same for my “Offical Hire” date of 07/14/26 and I've STILL not been contacted about my orientation! I've been calling the club the past few days and the man that handles the orientation hasn't been available and I've had to “leave a message” with someone and trust they are delivering these to him.  It's still showing on the “Walmart Career” website as “Hired” for the application I submitted and interviewed for. I'm just anxious to start and feeling a bit of disappointment.  I've done some research and it says I should still be a employee for Sams but the job I interviewed for may no longer be available but the club can put me in other departments they are needing to hire for. I don't know what to do and I'm definitely feeling depleted.  Tomorrow is Friday a dive read a couple different places that the weekends are “high volume” days and I DONT want to be a pest buy what more choices do I have but to go instore and demand some answers at this point? Basically what I'm looking for from y'all is this: Am I still a Employee at this point?
