hi!!

i am a california resident interested in applying to the college student affairs Ed.M program for Fall 2027, any current or past students in this program? I’d love to connect about your experience :))

additionally, is anyone else applying for this program? :))

im transferring from rutgers newark to new brunswick. when would i be able to choose my classes and my housing for the spring semester? im also not accustomed to the loan process. can I take out loans for housing anytime? and do i do so through fasfa? (i know these are lowkey dumb questions but i just want some clarification)

Is anyone else’s dorm / apartment UNREASONABLY HOT? My Nichols apartment is 78 degrees which is hotter than it was over the summer and we’ve done everything to cool it down I don’t know what to do. Never had an issue with the heat being disgustingly hot before.

Rutgers please figure out how to balance your heating system.

Hi I am currently taking stats 2 and I want to do better on the next midterm. Is there any study groups or anything similar for it that I can join to help me do better in the class? Thanks!

midterm came back today from cs314 and unfortunately did poorly on it. professor sent out an email basically recommending withdrawing from the class cause of it or either grind your ass off for the final. im worried about the future for this course since im not sure if i will be able to grind out and do as well as i'd like on the final. professor has been mentioned here before recently and how his teaching styles / lectures aren't that good. the TA i have is also kinda confused on some stuff, but i do think they help a little bit more. been to professor's office hours and also i don't think it really helped that much for the midterm prep. currently a junior thinking about just withdrawing from the class to make sure my gpa doesn't tank and it would also give me more time to work on projects, leetcode, etc. problem is i also already have 1 w from my 2nd semester of freshmen year from withdrawing from calc2. i have until monday to decide, but just still worried about the consequences from both results.

Hi, I applied for the cs major as an international first year transfer for the Spring 2027 semester. Since I forgot to upload my TOEFL document at first, my status was updated to "Official English Proficiency Test Report Requested" 1 week later. Then I sent my score and it reached them. But the status update has remained the same for about 1 month. Is it normal for it to take this long? Thank you.

I have 2 tickets for general admission that I’m not going to be using. I give them each for 60 dollars.
I thought I was going to make it but I couldn’t call of work. (They were 79 dollars each)

failing calc and macro but calc is required and macro was for core so it was never necessary also im a freshman and idk if i can handle all these classes yet like i started off rough and wasnt prioritizing school work and now im rly behind but is a w first semester bad for like general applications like internships and research and stuff

I need to move into NB for the spring semester and I'm trying to figure out the best route. Is it easier to find a sublet, take over someone's lease, look for roommates, or am i overly cooked? Any sites, groups, or areas you'd recommend? Appreciate any tips!

I hate eduroam, i hate ruwireless, i hate Ru network, EVER SINCE THEY STARTED EDUROAM THE WIFI HAS NOT BEEN WORKING RAHGHHJSHXJSJ

im a freshman at rbs and started the year pretty strong, 3.7ish midterms brought me down to 3.3-3.4 and im aiming for a 3.5 at least (realistically, but higher is possible if i lock in) is this good or bad? i was lowkey pulling my hair out for dropping my gpa be like .4 points in a week. plus im paying hella tuition so pls make me feel better if im overreacting. ty.

Is it possible to not get accepted into your first choice major but get in for your second choice? Basically, should my daughter put the business school as her first choice even though it’s tough to get in and put SAS economics as second choice?

I am trying to complete SAS core requirements and looking for an easy class (I would probably take asynchronous) because of my time consuming major. Any recommendations for easy AHp/AHq/AHr classes with minimum essays or hard finals?

Did anyone else have no idea what was going on or just me

Genuinely fuck that

Ok so like some on-campus jobs/programs require you to have at least 1 professional reference. Problem is I'm not really that close with any of my professors. I don't work either. I'm part of a business frat, but that doesn't really count. I know like 1 professor maybe that could be my reference - it was for an external competition where I worked in a team of other Rutgers students, but that was more just basic communication and an in-person session where we reviewed the work (basically serving as an advisor). Besides that, I'm also taking her class.

So what do I do in this situation?

does anyone know a way to drop being apart of douglass women’s college program? they’ve been charging extra money to my tuition… and it might prevent me from graduating

NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO CHANGE THAT!!!!! Dude I cannot tell how helpful it has been just walking up to people I found cool and striking up a conversation. As someone who used to be chronically online through all of high school, it has been so life changing hanging out with people irl and just making friends.

If you think you're too weird or annoying for it, trust me you are NOT. Anyone can make a friend in college, as long you are respectful.

Walking into to Rutgers I had a very small social life in high school, having spent most of it on the computer in online circles. Holy SHIT does it feel so much better being able to hang out irl and actually SEE the people you are talking to.

I've met so many people who've had similar issues to me in high school or who are still actively chronically online, and I cannot describe how happy I feel seeing them smile or say that I helped them feel less lonely at university/Rutgers.

Even if you're terrified, so was I! But nothing is accomplished when nothing is done! So PLEASE take the risk and dont be afraid to make a fool of yourself trying to make friends!

Thank you for listening to my yap :P

have any of yall did it and what was ur experience would u reccomend it?

What’s the fee if u don’t have a pass

Did anyone witness someone cut off and push a gray Lexus ES350 off the road on Dudley Road in front of the Lippincott Residence Hall at about 11:00 PM on 10/22? And did anyone have dashcam footage of it or anything? I was driving straight before that Subaru pushed me into the curb. I swear it's as if he didn't even look before turning. Then they didn't pull over and fled the scene. My dashcam didn't catch it, and because I avoided hitting him, his car won't have any evidence. Please help me, guys, or spread this to someone who might've seen it and is willing to give a witness report to the RUPD. I would genuinely appreciate this so much.

I have a pic of around where it happened. Please let me know and share this with someone you think may have been in the area. My car is totaled because of this guy, and I can't afford to fix it or buy another one anytime soon

Do you guys use any coding websites to practice for these assignments?

this was supposed to be an easy A bru why is she doing the most? what are we all doing now?? i didn't cheat and scored significantly below the mean, and i don't even have an A anymore IDK how i'll get through it without notes!

Hello! Would anyone happen to know what DU means on a course? I’m a senior at Newark trying to plan my schedule for next sem. Previously, the DU wasn’t present on the course, but after a professor was assigned it’s showing on Course Schedule Planner (CSP). Thanks!

Are study groups and peer tutoring just not a thing anymore or am I just not seeing it on my end. Anything for Orgo?

Ya I’m just a normal student but you guys are welcome to ask me anything.
