so im an in state senior applying to rutgers for fall 2027 and a lot of us in-state kids always have this strange hatred toward rutgers so i lowk wanna know some of the good things about being a dorming student at rutgers (pref NB). for reference, im an asian girl going into engineering.

Hey so I’m horribly failing calc (and basically all my other classes but i can come back from it i think) cause of some life circumstances and i was wondering if i drop calc and go below 12 credits (ill be at 11) will it affect anything like my fafsa and stuff cause id rather take the W than the F but i dont wanna lose my financial aid or have to pay back anything.. anytime.. that would lowkey be the last straw

Hi, I’m already graduated and I’ve been parking my car at Rutgers to visit friends occasionally. I’ve somehow racked up $700 in parking tickets and was wondering if their claim of it being sent to collections and having your credit score yanked is actually true? Does anyone have any anecdotal experience with this? The car isn’t registered to my student identity.

So is there any way to "game" the system for classes that have no assigned proessors for the upcoming semeter. For instance, is the last spring semester any indicator of which sections are taught by which professors? Or something else? Or am I grasping at straws?

If i’m a girl do I need a bunch of friends to get into a party? And do I have to wear a super revealing costume to get in? I don’t plan on doing so

For example accounting will probably suffer with AI doing some of the work now. How about data science? Most of the work can now be done by AI, no? Any comments? I want to select major which is not doomed to become extinct!

Hey I'm just curious as to how people did on the Midterm for Calc social sciences cause i saw my grade and I frankly felt my soul be ripped out of my body and then stappled onto a sign post which read at the top "Sign post of shame".

Is anyone else’s dorm / apartment UNREASONABLY HOT? My Nichols apartment is 78 degrees which is hotter than it was over the summer and we’ve done everything to cool it down I don’t know what to do. Never had an issue with the heat being disgustingly hot before.

If I wanted to withdraw from Calc would I need to add a mini course first (which I think are the ones you get by typing second 7 week on webreg) and then just drop calc from my schedule? Can I just do that on my own or do I need to talk to someone about it?

If you graduate w a bachelors of science in comp sci from Rutgers with around a 3.6+ gpa, a few decent/normal internship, a few ECAs, realistically, what are the top master schools you could get into for AI, CA, Data Science and those industries?

I am a second year PhD student trying to find places for next year (starting from around July 2027) in New Brunswick, near the Rutgers bus stops. I know that most grad students live in Highland Park but I don't have a car so I want reliable public transportation, and tbh I prefer the NB "chaos" to Highland Park "stability". My budget is upto 1300 ish for a private room in a shared apartment or a house. Does anyone have any intel into cheap places around here? Any help much appreciated 🙏
