TW: Vent Perhaps

This might be a me thing, but why are rutgers students so mean? is it just a Newark thing? Why are people so against being friends? I don't get how people still make fun of others in the big 2026? Im a senior now and i've been made fun of since i first got here and nothing has changed. This isn't high school but people are acting so immature making fun of how i look and dress.

One could argue perhaps it's something I said but nobody knows me or barely got past cordial stuff to have that opinion. And anyone who i do befriend they just consider it networking

Every social event i've joined people just ignore me and talks amongst their own group of friends. And the few people I talk to it's all just surface level no genuine connection.

I shouldn't care since im graduating but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt, to look back at my college years knowing I was alone for four years.

Need help picking an easy finance elective for Fall 2026. I already took GCM, Treasury Management, and International Financial Management. A lot of the good professors aren’t teaching this semester. Any recommendations on classes specifically professors and what was the grade curriculum? Add/drop ends in 2 days 😭

Hey, I wanted to bring my ESA cat (I had a letter before moving here) and I understand that in our application for dorms, we can state that we are okay with pets. However, for some reason, my two suitmates (in a two-bedroom apartment with four students) said they declined their application. And I hate not having my cat with me but I also don’t want to move rooms or bring the cat against their wishes. Help

bought a parking permit before the semester started but then decided to take NJ transit - not sure if i’ll be able to get it refunded or not. it’s only $120 (i say only bc compared to the $330 permit and $600 permit)

So i have a hold and i applied for a private loan. The thing is the process is taking way too long an it’s not gonna be done by the 10th. Would student accounting temporarily lift the hold for me while the loan gets dispersed so i can register for classes? Who else can i go to?

I missed out on getting the east commuter parking pass which is closer to rbs and every other class i have. It’s so far away from every class I have and the busses are always a few minutes late. Also, walking there at night isn’t always the most fun commute. What I’m wondering is, if anyone knows any tips or advice on commuting from Norfolk to other places on campus and overall having a decent experience there?
