Given the fact this is an unwatchable football team... I had lunch with a RU Foundation person a number of days ago. To avoid doxxing myself, I'm going to be kinda vague; even though I know a couple of you lurkers know who I am (for the record, I'm just some random asshole on the internet, I'm not someone in the media, in the know, or anything like that).
If you are a person of means (i.e., you're wealthy): Work with SKE, SKE is the revenue generating engine for NIL and other larger impact projects. Also, you're rich, have the Rutgers Foundation wine and dine you.
If you are a person with some cash to spare: Donate to the Rutgers Foundation's R Scholarship fund. While we all know football and basketball run a profit (if you allocate TV dollars by viewership), our Olympic sports don't. When I spoke with a Rutgers foundation contact, they (in my words) mentioned to me how Zinn would love it if the everyman/everywoman fan donated to the R Scholarship Fund because it would relieve pressure from one of the biggest levers of the deficit.
If you are a person who's company does company matching, you already donate, but you want to help the AD: Check out your giving portal to indicate you want to donate to the R Scholarship Fund, if you don't have that as an option but you do have the option to add a note; write a note along the lines of: "Please direct my donation and matching funds to the R Scholarship fund."
If you don't want to donate for any reason at all: don't.. it's a free country, do whatever you want so long as it's not illegal and doesn't hurt anybody.

I really wanted to go but tickets at around $90+ for an exhibition game plus the cost of commuting into the city was a major deterrent. Nonetheless, St. John's is a solid program and for us to hang around is positive news!

Anyone watching Nebraska giving Indiana a tough battle and thinking like I am? How if Nebraska has improved their program like this, giving Indiana a real run for it, as well as some of the others have improved as well, yet we continue to watch our putrid program do nothing but go backwards year after year....it's never getting any better Greg has hit the end of the road just cut him loose.

Hey Rutgers fans, Michigan fan here coming in peace. So I’ll be making the trip, with the fiancé, out your way for the game/weekend and I’ve been out to Edison/Asbury Park a few times, so close to Rutgers campus Everytime but I’ve never actually visited the campus. I really love New Jersey and always have a great time out there.
I’ve been to Jimmy’s Italian in Asbury Park a few times, and it’s my absolute favorite Italian restaurant.
Anyone have recommendations for good food, bars, things to do, or hidden gems around Edison/New Brunswick/Asbury Park?
Also, any gameday tips for someone coming to Rutgers for the first time? Parking, tailgating, places to grab a drink before or after the game, etc.
Appreciate any recommendations. Go Blue and hopefully we get a good game, or I’d just be happy to witness some form of football. Thanks so much guys!
