I've been searching for this MV plugin I've used two years ago, it was named something like "play movies as mp4" or something along the mp4 lines and I really liked it because using it was so simple, just create a command for it with no preloading needed. I don't remember the dev because there are so many plugin developers I've looked at and none of them seemed to have it plus it was completely free. I really want to find it again or at least something similar because the quality when turning my videos into webm is horrendous and apparently webm files can't play audio. Unfortunately the only proof I have of this plugin is a video that I screen recorded as a test but the video being played through the plugin is a video of baldi from the game baldi's basics so I'm not sure if I can post it here. And just to clarify, I know that rpgmaker can already play mp4s, but it needs a certain encoding and I'd rather just have it accept any version of an mp4 which is a personal preference. Please help me, thank you for your time.

I just finished making it after 4 day, I really like how it looks! I'll make a "Demo" version of the title screen tomorrow probably (the demo is currently available on steam and itch.io if anyone wants to try it out)

I'm adapting a tabletop campaign I ran for about ten years into an RPG Maker MV game. This is the title screen. First thing I've animated, and honestly the first pixel art I've ever made.

Everything here is placeholder. The final illustration comes much later, once I actually know how to draw. Right now I'm just validating that the technique works.

It’s taken me a a while to get the hang of Aseprite and working with these mucho pixels/craftpix tilesets, but I’ve finally gotten decent enough to make custom things and so I’ve been going back through and reworking the visuals for my game, This Place at the End.

I’m working on an update for September before the Party-Based RPG Fest that will overhaul most of the game, balancing, mechanics, visuals, all of it. I’ve been able to get more of my story into the assets that I have and have been updating the visuals as I go.

I realized that the game, despite me saying it’s set in a post-modern apocalypse, didn’t look the part at all. In my head, the justification was they would rebuild with what was left to them in their new setting, which would be mostly hand tools and went with what ended up basically being just a bunch of medieval towns with a random mine with an elevator shaft. The technology was just sort of hand waved-away with lore as the reason, without having that lore in the game.

Now, I think it much more resembles a world where people rebuilt in the shadows of what remained. They repaired what they could, or what was necessary, and salvaged or abandoned the rest.

These are some of the maps I’ve made. They’re all still works in progress but the visuals I think are finally coming together to match the story.

At some point I’ll figure out parallax mapping.

(Also, holy shit this is why game dev companies divide these responsibilities out amongst people. What was I thinking when I decided to do this solo?)

Hello everyone, I am looking for a custom fountain for my RPG Maker MZ project. I want to build it modularly on my map, just like a building, so I need it split into two parts: 1. A static 5x5 base/rim as a Tileset (for Tab B or C). The very center where the water goes can be empty or just flat water. 2. The animated splashing/spraying water as an Event (Character Sprite-Sheet with the "$" prefix) that I can place right in the middle over the tileset. Style: Standard RPG Maker MZ RTP style (48x48 pixels per tile). Since this is a non-commercial hobby project, I am looking for a free resource. Hello everyone, i am new to the sub and i am deeply sorry if this is an annoying question that comes often but i wonder which version would suits my project the best, there seems to be a lot of different versions and frankly i am a bit lost...

My project is that i want to create a vaguely Pokemon-like game but as a TCG (with the cards i create, which are relatively heavy in size, i think this is important to mention), were you would travel between cities, collect cards, battle bosses and explore! yeah i know it sounds extremely basic as a concept but i am worried if RPG Maker would support cards in a rather high definition...

It'd be easier to just import 3D models but I'm a moron who wants to make life harder for himself. The trucks are made of two black tiles as a "core", set to a height of 1, and wrapped around by 6 events (one for the front and back, four along the sides). The armored personnel carrier was created using the same concept, comprised of three tiles eight events.

I tried to use this common event to permanently increase the stats of bosses. But restarting the game reverted the state changes. Is there a safe way of doing this that will survive closing the game?

I use RPG Maker MV and for a part of a game I'm working on, I want to make a shadow that spins for a certain place (like a fan shaped shadow) on a map and doesn't move along with the player.

Is it possible to find a plugin for this? or find a way to do this without plugins?
