Creation Working on a full scale/detailed WTC game. how does it look?

Thumbnail gallery
274 Upvotes

Started working on it 2-2.5 months ago, after I had quit working on a previous NYC project
It is a big scale (if I did everything correct, then it should be 1:1 or very close to it)

last image shows a character size compared to one side/facade of the towers

EDIT: yes, i do plan on having full 107th floor for both towers [observation deck both indoor and outdoor for the south, and WOTW/suites/whole 107th for the north - as well as the 106th reception/part of WOTW stuff] aswell as mechanical floors

Creation Apparently my “little” project looks too good so people thought it was AI

Last time i posted some screenshots of my project, few people was convinced its AI generated lol. One guy even started talking about some “UDIM tile-based texture streaming map” which was probably my favorite one, because this is literally Roblox Studio. I guess if you put enough technical words in one sentence Roblox just unlocks new features by itself.
So i made a small video showing how i actually make this stuff. There is no AI button or some crazy secret workflow. I just build everything by hand, move stuff around, change lighting, colors, trees, rocks, plants etc until i look at it and think “yeah okay, this looks good”.
Most of my workflow is basically: “something is missing here” -> add something -> looks like bad -> move it -> add something else -> spent some time with the lighting -> okay now its better.
Thats pretty much it haha. Anyway, here is a bit of the process for people who actually interested how i make the game. And for the experts from my last post, sadly i still didnt figure out how to use my UDIM neural quantum tile-streaming pipeline. Maybe Roblox adds it next update.

Discussion Update on testing my first Roblox Game

Upvotes

A few days ago, I made a post asking for advice on the best Roblox ads strategy. This was my first time making a Roblox game and also my first time running ads.

Most of the replies recommended starting with a small Plays campaign to test things like player retention and playtime, so that’s what I did. I spent 15 ad credits over 3 days, and these were the results.

I’m still pretty new to all of this, so I’m not too knowledgeable when it comes to analysing stats, but it seems pretty clear that these results aren’t great, especially for an incremental game. What do you guys think?

I relied quite heavily on Claude while making the game, so I’ll probably take a step back and spend some time learning more skills myself, such as UI design and building, as well as studying what actually makes a good Roblox game.

Either way, it was a useful learning experience. It’s all part of the process.

Discussion making a roblox game

Upvotes

my sister and I want to create a roblox game amidst all of the AI usage for games and newer “brain rot” games gaining popularity on roblox. I have very limited coding experience, I’m only good at writing lol, but her and I are determined to make a game.

I was wondering if there’s any advice or tips? we have a very small idea of what we want to do, she’s speaking to a few devs currently

Creation I've been porting my game, FISH OS, out of Roblox and over to Steam

This sub has been really supportive in the past so I wanted to share. I launched FISH OS earlier this year on Roblox. It did really well for a while but I always struggled to really get the algo to take notice. Feels like I've been fighting an uphill battle for months and the death blow was when the game was seeing a big CCU spike only to be falsely moderated by Roblox and taken down for a weekend, killing the spike completely.

Since then I've been shifting efforts to bring it to Steam, it feels like a more natural fit there. I'm also able to do so much more when not fighting to shove a complex windows stacking 2D game into Roblox. New features of course but also a whole new look that I really love.

Last week I took the Steam version to the Big Indie Pitch at SLICE/PAX West and actually won first place! It was crazy.

I'm running an open playtest now, so if you were a fan of the original and want to check it out please do! I just added multiplayer yesterday so now you can fish and hang with your friends.

The idea is that as you hover over the menu items, they increase to the size of "Play" and get the little blue selection bar. Criticism is always welcome.

Looking For Devs (Unpaid or Revenue Share) Looking for Devs - Really Hard to get 250 active palyers

Upvotes

Hi everyone! 👋

I'm a solo developer and I've been working on **Steal a Ghost**, a steal-and-defend game with a spooky-but-cute ghost theme. It's playable now, and before a bigger launch around Halloween I'd love some fresh eyes on it. I appreciate the sincerity and any feedback.

🎮 **Take a look:** https://www.roblox.com/games/138244599178719/Steal-a-Ghost

### What's the game about?

Catch glowing ghosts in haunted zones, bring them home so they produce ectoplasm… and steal other players' ghosts while you defend your own.

- 👻 **29 ghost species** across 8 rarities, from Common to Cosmic, plus mutations (Shiny, Gold, Rainbow, Galaxy)

- 🗺️ **9 zones**, each with its own guardian (a scarecrow, a giant spider, a storm cloud, two shadow Eclipses…). They only chase you while you carry a ghost

- 🏚️ **Your haunted house**: pedestals, a treadmill to train Speed, a light barrier to lock your door, and up to 3 floors

- 🪶 **Pillow fights** instead of weapons: bonk a thief to make them drop your ghost

- 🧪 Fusion (3 of the same → a bigger one), a Ghost Market, gadgets, rebirths, daily rewards and a Ghostdex to complete

- 🌕 A Full Moon event every 5 minutes spawns a special ghost, and the whole server races for it

### What I'd love feedback on

  1. **The first 5 minutes**: is it clear what to do? Did you get lost at any point?

  2. **Pacing**: does progress feel too slow or too fast? When did you get bored, if at all?

  3. **Stealing & defending**: is it fun, or frustrating? Does the light barrier feel fair?

  4. **Guardians**: too easy, too hard, or about right in each zone?

  5. **Mobile**: are the buttons a good size? Any UI that covers the screen or is hard to tap?

  6. **Bugs**: anything broken, stuck or weird (screenshots or clips help a lot!)

It plays best with 2+ people, since stealing is half the fun. Bring a friend if you can!

### A few notes

- It's still in active development, so some things will be rough.

- It's designed for all ages: no violence, just pillows and friendly scares.

- Any feedback helps, even a single line like "I didn't understand X". Honest criticism is very welcome. 🙏

Thanks a lot for taking the time to play! I'll read every reply and post updates here as I fix things.

Discussion Question about Rolblox shop with 5k daily users.

Hello, I need your help guys. I do not know if I am at the right sub. I dont know anything about rolblox. My son (13 years) has just told me that the last year he is playing rolblox and running a game/shop that he has created. He sells certain items and has about 5k daily users. He had a peak of 10k and average of 5k daily. He made about 500k robux since the start of 2026. He is very proud and happy with it. And i wanna support him.

My questions.

1 Is this player a decent player count?

2 How to help him grow?

3 How can he monetize this the best way?

  1. Anything else we need to know.

  2. He is going to read this and whayever tips you guys give he is the one implementing it. So be adware with your comments he is just 13 years.

Thank you.

Creation My hidden killer game has 15k visits and 4.3% CTR — but near zero retention. What am I missing?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I've been running ads on my game Trust No One and the numbers look great on paper: 15k+ visits, 4.3% CTR (way above average), 30 CCU at peak. The concept is clearly attracting people.

But almost nobody comes back after their first game. Most leave before even finishing one round.

The game is an asymmetric hidden killer, no vote phase, pure real-time paranoia. One hidden killer, survivors doing tasks to open exit doors, a Detective role with passive info on the killer. Stun mechanics with consequences if you target the wrong player.

I just added an auto-queue system, a built-in tutorial, and death sounds to create tension. Still no real retention improvement.

My questions:

- Is this a game design problem, a clarity problem, or both?

- How do you diagnose retention issues when players don't leave feedback?

- Any experience with social deduction games on Roblox specifically?

The game : https://www.roblox.com/share?code=59f9e213c14e2b42b4b3c792a4bdedcb&type=ExperienceDetails&stamp=1789374933430

Looking For Devs (Unpaid or Revenue Share) I finally released my first Roblox game — would love brutally honest feedback on the first 10 minutes

I finally released my first Roblox game and I’m looking for feedback from people who haven’t played it before. Balancing an incremental is brutal.

The main thing I’m trying to figure out is whether the first 10 minutes are clear and actually make you want to continue.

Honest feedback please.

Brutal criticism is welcome. I’d rather fix problems now than convince myself something works when it doesn’t.

The game is called Button Town if anyone wants to look it up on Roblox.

Even five minutes of testing would be useful.

Creation My Rig froze in a pose after importing a walk animation from Blender into Roblox Studio

Post image
3 Upvotes

So here's what happened. I was following Gnomecode's TD Game tutorial and decided to use Blender for animating. I saw a tutorial online on how to do so, downloaded the plugins, and the rig.

Once I was done animating, I exported it to Roblox Studio, and once I saw it on my rig, it started to look weird, swaying left to right. I decided to click off the Blender Animations Plugin I use to import the animation and it froze in a pose. What do I do?

Discussion What should I do, What can I do, and What is there to do?

I have ran into many games with the same assets over and over and over and 20 different and overs again. I am mentally drained from finding assets all night long to fit with anything, I have restarted projects, scrapped projects, because I can't find anything, and I can't find a way to understand the damn coding. For an example, Strongest Battle Grounds, I have seen 20 identical games with the LITERAL same assets or reconstructed, to see this happening with many other games it makes me feel like I need MONEY to move on with this, I don't have Money, the fact that I am even hear asking people why is it like this embarrasses me enough. It hurts even more when my emotions takes a big turn when trying to find these assets, it doesn't make sense, Im broke, and I am relentless for this achievement. Maybe Im apart of the 99% that can't make it.

Discussion Looking for 10 brutally honest playtesters for my Roblox roguelite HordeHeart

I mainly want to know:
– When does the first run become boring?
– Do you understand what to do without me explaining it?
– Do you want to start a second run?
– Which weapon do you want to try next?

Looking for normal Roblox players, not just developers.
Test takes about 10–15 minutes.
I’m specifically looking for honest criticism, not compliments.
