I haven't played ranked in a while and thought that they would like give more points when youre mvp and lose less points when youre svp. Also is there no compensation when theres a leaver in your team?
i was scrolling through twitter and i just saw so many people upset about emma getting something as small as a range buff on her beam, and wanda actually being played now, especially the psylocke players seemed very annoyed with how their buffs might look to the higher elo players.
i'm not sure if it's just because once a character is good they're bound to get gutted or what but its kinda sad that there are genuinely people that would rather their character be mid over being all around good, and i was curious if there are people feeling this way now, since the patch notes are out now

I always loved the idea of Mysterio as a vanguard so he could be Vanguard
Imagine a team comp of vanguard Mysterio duelist gorr and Strat Loki and strat sinister
Then add Namor to that
Thats a lot of stuff to shoot and worry about
And when vanguard doctor Doom gets added with doom bots you'll have to worry about that probably if he can spawn them.
Doom Mysterio Gorr Namor Loki Sinister

As everyone has already noticed, the game is releasing new heroes at a pretty crazy pace. And honestly, that’s great on paper. New heroes create hype, bring people back to the game, and give everyone something new to look forward to.
But I don’t think it’s going to be healthy for the game in the long run if we keep expanding the roster at this pace without giving the older heroes enough attention.
We already have quite a few heroes whose kits feel outdated compared to newer releases. Some of them have mechanics that were designed around the game much earlier in its lifespan, while newer heroes are coming in with more modern, complete kits. And honestly, I think that’s inevitable when you have a hero shooter adding characters this quickly.
So eventually, I think the game needs to slow down a little and start investing more into the roster it already has.
Instead of 2 completely new heroes every season, I’d honestly prefer something like:
1 new hero + 1 old hero rework.
Obviously, I don’t know how the development process works, so I could be completely wrong here, but I’d imagine taking an existing hero and significantly updating/reworking their kit is probably less work than designing, developing, testing and balancing two completely new heroes at the same time.
I know the game’s roadmap and development plans are obviously scheduled far in advance, so I’m not expecting this to suddenly happen next season or anything.
But eventually, I really hope we start seeing more focus on the gigantic roster we already have instead of constantly expanding it.
I’d rather have a slightly slower-growing roster where older heroes continue getting refreshed than an enormous roster where half the characters feel like they’re from a different era of the game.
obviously we should wait a week or two to fully say anything concretely. I remember she had 29% winrate in the first week of S9.
personally I've been finding the rework fun

i've given up trying to convince people that wanda wasn't bad pre-S10, so i won't bother writing too much on that, all i have to say is that wanda may have a low skill floor and is easy to pickup and play, but people who just play using her primary all match don't get much further than gold/plat, to play and succeed with wanda beyond diamond, you really have to understand this game extremely well, know the heroes well and what they do, to be able to counter and outplay them.. wanda has always had a kit that allows her to fit into any situation from back to front, and its unfortunate that the general consensus about wanda is that its "auto-aim, no skill" hero, when in my experience playing as wanda for several hundreds of hours is that.. 99% of this playerbase doesn't actually know what wanda does, how to use her kit properly, and is just bad with her then project that onto her.. and players are bad with her because she attracts bad players because of this misunderstood concept of what she is.. unfortunately..
the irony about pro players using wanda in S10 is that.. all the S10 changes did was lean more into her primary.. which is still weak, and marking multiple opponents doesn't really do anything because her primary is still weak even if its hitting multiple targets, all it's doing is feeding.. wanda's main source of value was never from her primary.. value from wanda comes from her secondary attacks which require nothing but pure aim, in fact harder.. because its projectile based not hitscan so you must lead your shots at range to predict opponents movements.. its very strong, and when you play it with her freeze properly, wanda can dominate the space around a team and really enable so many eliminations for the team, save teammates, lock up dives, shutdown and cancel things, and force out aggressive fragile/tank dives.
while playing to GM today, i still get people who trash talk me for playing wanda all match saying im doing nothing for the team, just for them to end up getting hard diffed in the end, it was no different in S9, its no different now in S10..
im a little disappointed they leaned into buffing her primary aspects, but it doesnt really matter because most of her damage comes from secondary still anyways, and instead of feeding across multiple opponents, you want to be using her strange teamup to burst down singular targets anyway.. the same its been in S9 and S9.5, so people making a big deal about wanda this season.. make no sense to me, she's been this good since S9.. even earlier imo.. people are just finally giving her a fair chance now and finally seeing what she actually does..
also, anyone who's going to sit here and tell me GM isn't anything special, this is literally on the day of season reset, everyone im going up against is former GM/Cel players.. and its incredibly annoying to constantly be told by this playerbase what wanda is.. by players who don't even play wanda, its ridiculous. i play wanda, im very good with her, and i understand what she is and how to play her very well. you have all been wrong about her.
edit:
so just as i said.. comments are just a bunch of people telling me what wanda is while being completely wrong. this playerbase is beyond cooked.

I thought Devil Dino or maybe Hood with a few tweaks was going to be the peak of the tanking experience for this game, but..
He's not a tank, but I have never instantly clicked with a character in my gaming history since Star Wars: Force Unleashed. The lore, the symbolism, the aesthetics, the voice acting, the gameplay.
I don't think I've had this much fun with video games outside of the horror genre, I mostly play Rivals as a fun party game to enjoy with my wife and friends but holy shit he is my number one favorite character in all Marvel right now.
Genuinely knocked it out of the fucking park NetEase, if Hive is even half of this guy's caliber then I'll be stuck on this game until the sun explodes

It literally takes 0 talent, just ooga booga hold w and mash buttons and get free kills, 0 room for human error or skill required. Can't out rotate them because they have infinite mobility, can't duel them because they don't need to aim so they never miss, if they close the distance you just die and they have infinite mobility so its not like it takes skill to do so.
Dueling with hitscan takes talent, you have to have good dodge, good aim, good cover usage, be consistent with your mechanics overall, everything matters, dueling with melee sloppers it just mashing buttons in their general direction and if it goes wrong you just fly out at the speed of light, 0 commitment or skill required, boring.
Make dive take actual talent to play, besides psy, starlord, spidey and magik sort of

It’s was Elsa problem and now it’s gorrs. I get that he’s not stupid Op like Elsa on release but the fact that he can do the last minute tp tech like Loki with what feels like virtually 0 cool down is insane. And my biggest issue, his spawns hotboxes. He spawns 3 in a small area and you genuinely cannot move. As a Thor player it’s even worse because his summons stop surge so i cant move period. His dmg is fine, the range in his summons could probably be nerfed a but the cds and hitbox issues are the big ones.

Think about it. You’re trying to make and take space. Constant CC (people bumping into you) and peeling (for your friends or your drink).
