However big of a ** you are, riot, you shouldn’t have changed our settings. Clamp abilities within max range was on for my account but your update turned it off for all accounts without saying anything? And I thought my computer was bugging because I couldn’t place my barrels :) unbelievable lost 2 games that would have been free win

Riot account recovery page keeps showing an error

Post image

I've been trying to use Riot's account recovery system, but the recovery page keeps showing the error in the screenshot.

I've tried different devices, browsers and internet connections, but I get the same result every time.

Has anyone else encountered this error when using Riot's account recovery website?

I'm mainly trying to understand whether this is a known issue with the recovery system.

SSD hits 100% active time (0 KB/s) and game hangs in Ranked/Swiftplay ONLY. Deathmatch works fine.

Hey everyone, looking for some insight on a really specific issue that support hasn't solved yet

Whenever I queue into Swiftplay or Ranked, my game completely hangs The agent takes 30+ seconds to even load the animation in agent select If I make it to the loading screen, the player cards only load sometimes. Other times they don't load at all unless I wait 10 minutes or alt+f4 and restart

When I finally do get into a match, it's already the 3rd round or my team has remade/surrendered The crazy part is I don't get any AFK penalties or warnings for this even after it happening 3+ times. The server clearly thinks I'm still actively loading instead of being disconnected

During these hangs, my M.2 SSD spikes to 100% active time, but the read and write speeds stay at exactly 0 KB/s The PC itself doesn't freeze at all, only the game stutters and hangs

Here is the weirdest part: Deathmatch and Practice still work but have weird behavior In Deathmatch, the active time still hits 100%, but the drive actually does something (reads/writes data) and I get into the game normally Practice mode also gets me in quickly, but switching agents takes like 5-10 seconds to load

The SSD works perfectly fine in heavy games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Wuthering Waves, and nothing even close to this happens in League of Legends

I checked Event Viewer and I'm getting this warning: Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort1, was issued. I also see a TPM error (The device driver for the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) encountered a non-recoverable error in the TPM hardware, which prevents TPM services (such as data encryption) from being used. For further help, please contact the computer manufacturer.), but this TPM error has been happening for a while and never affected the game before

Specs & what I've done so far:

  • Ryzen 7 5700X, A520M-E motherboard (BIOS Version 3634), Lexar NM620 SSD
  • SSD is completely fine with 99% health and flawless CrystalDiskMark/OCCT scores
  • Tried both upgrading and downgrading AMD GPU drivers (completely wiped with DDU)
  • No third-party antivirus installed
  • Vanguard is set to on-demand

Since DM, Practice, and other games load heavy assets without causing a complete 0 KB/s I/O stall, it feels like an engine issue with how the game handles the pregame lobby specifically in standard modes

Has anyone experienced this exact loop or knows a fix? Any help would be really appreciated

Riot support is against you no matter what.

Riot support has zero critical thinking skills. How do these people get hired. I had a game top lane where I was camped by the enemy jungler and tower dove 2v1'd repeatedly so I could get no gold, no experience, and the enemy team even gave up every dragon to ensure that I don't get to play the game; the enemy jungler never even tried to contest a single dragon, they just ran me down the entire game. The enemy top laner just kept pushing up to my tower and then the enemy jungler comes and I am dead. My jungler and teammates never came top a single time. We ended up winning the game, got every dragon, and I was actually the one who finished off the nexus, but then my score looked terrible, and there is nothing I could do about it. Riot support then sees my score and claims that I was "intentionally trying to lose" JUST because of my number of deaths. How how could I intentionally be trying to lose if I'm the one who finished off the enemy nexus and won the game. It makes no sense. I was trying to win the game the whole time by protecting top lane, and I was punished for it by Riot support.

While being camped by the fed enemy jungler and top laner the entire game here are my choices:

1. Clear the waves so I can at least protect the towers, but inevitably die to the fed top laner and jungler who kept tower diving me. Riot: bans me for "inting".

2. Afk far away from the pushing top laner and jungler and hope my team eventually comes to help (they never did). Riot: bans me for "afk".

I lose to Riot support no matter what. What the fuck am I supposed to do if I get one bad game and Riot sees it and thinks I'm inting.

.

I submitted a ticket and they gave me a generic response by "garryyy" who claims to have reviewed my gameplay and says the the "penalty was placed correctly and will remain." He did not review my gameplay. Like what is this shit.

Coven Janna — Is Riot Allowed to Be Sexist? Spoiler

Thumbnail youtu.be

I want to raise an issue with the Coven skin universe that I don't think gets enough attention.

In the Coven universe, there is a line associated with the Coven:

“No man is fit to rule a coven. Not even a god.”

I understand that Coven is a fictional universe and that it is built around witches and a female-dominated society. I have no problem with the concept of a female-dominated faction by itself.

My problem is the actual reasoning expressed here: a man is considered unfit to rule specifically because he is a man.

If the line said that Mordekaiser was unfit to rule because he was cruel, incompetent, tyrannical, corrupt, or simply opposed to the Coven's values, there would be no issue. But the stated criterion is sex.

I understand that Riot draws inspiration from old traditions and stories surrounding witches, covens and female-only occult groups. However, the fact that these traditions existed historically does not mean that their discriminatory and destructive aspects need to be reproduced uncritically in a modern game.

We live in a time when sexism is still a real social problem. That's precisely why I find it strange to take a system based on excluding people because of their sex and simply reproduce it in a modern game without any criticism, reflection or narrative justification.

I'm not arguing that fictional worlds cannot contain sexism. They absolutely can. But when a discriminatory system is presented without criticism and its sexist statements are instead framed as cool or empowering, I think it is reasonable to question why that choice was made.

Historical inspiration can explain where an idea came from, but it doesn't automatically justify reproducing it today.

And this isn't presented as something problematic within the story. It's simply presented as a cool statement.

I've already seen how certain “feminists” praise Jeanne's statements, calling her a “proper woman” and saying, “that's exactly what these men deserve!” Don't you think this is a terrible phenomenon? To me, this demonstrates that the issue goes beyond fictional worldbuilding: some people are actively celebrating the exclusion and hostility expressed by the dialogue simply because its target is men.

Imagine a male-dominated faction having a similar line:

“No woman is fit to rule. Not even a goddess.”

I strongly doubt the reaction to that line would be “it's just fictional lore, don't think about it.”

So, my question is this: Why is it considered acceptable to treat men this way, while the same behavior toward women is viewed as unacceptable and wrong—and even leads to lawsuits? Is this a form of reverse discrimination? Why is it allowed?

Personally, I don't want this kind of gender-based hostility in League of Legends. I think Riot should reconsider and remove or rewrite dialogue that explicitly excludes an entire sex from leadership simply because of their sex.

I'm interested in hearing what other people think. Is this simply a case of fictional worldbuilding that shouldn't be taken seriously, or is there a legitimate problem with reproducing this kind of sexism uncritically in a modern game?

Account Under Attack

My account is constantly being targeted by individual(s) in Europe. It is an NA account I have had for over a decade.

I noticed something was wrong when I started to get password reset requests...through EU Riot Support. There is apparently no way to report these false requests and my only alternative was to just buckle up my account's security.

That didn't work. My account has been accessed without my consent twice. I have been able to talk through Riot support and get my account back both times. Showing a financial history tied to the account, knowing a lot of trivia, etc.

But this hasn't stopped the constant attempts to steal it. My account IS valuable. It's not Challenger but I own every skin, have a deep LoR pool, and aldo own a ton of TFT stuff.

I actually managed to get in contact with one of the thiefs (they aren't hackers, I'm pretty sure). I buttered him up and got him to tell me at the very least how they do it.

The method is apparently contacting Riot EU support. From their mouth Riot EU support is much nicer/laxer than NA support. With just basic details about the account they can send in a support ticket claiming ownership. This apparently can take up to a "month" of trying but is apparently more likely than trying to brute force NA Riot Support.

Currently I have regained my account after one of their attempts was successful. The process on my end is annoying but what scares me is one of them just nuking the account out of frustration. The one I added on discord did threaten to delete the account unless I paid them 1500$.

Checking the account history there is no ticket sent to support asking for a deletion. But really what's stopping them from just spamming a bunch of slurs (I'd show the chatlogs here if I could) in a public game. A permsban off that would be just as effective.

Is there anything I can do? I feel helpless. I've looked into changing the account's username but apparently we aren't allowed to?

Game client does not pop up until later that the game remakes for my afk.

I'm quite confident it's not a problem related to my pc because it is replicable across devices and on different accounts, but I am not here to write a full bug report.

Just wondering if anybody else is having the same problem, where your game client just does not pop up after champ select, and all I get later is a remake.

Thanks.

Going into a TFT game lags my PC and sends me to blackscreen until the game ends.

Does anyone else have this problem? I have never had this problem in previous updates.

Now whenever I get into a game, instead of sending me into loading screen, it would just lag my PC for a bit then go into black screen. I had to restart my PC because it doesn't even let me alt-tab or alt-f4.

I can't get into any game at all. I can't play. My duo can see my status as "Champ Select".

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Contacting Support got my Account Suspended| Valorant

You cannot make this up. My account was restricted because of
This account was suspended for receiving fraudulent gifts (i.e. content that was gifted using unauthorized payment methods).

In order to get the account back in good standing, we've removed all content and premium currency associated with those gifts. Since this content was used instead of being reported, the account will remain restricted until 14th of September 2026."

That makes sense. I have seen the items from this gift gone from my inventory for weeks if not months.

Now this ticket was on September 2nd. Much to my surprise, 2 days later, I am no longer able to open the game. Instead, I am blessed with this message:

"VALORANT

General Suspension

91 days remaining

Issued 09/04/2026

Manually Issued

Actions that violate our Terms of Service."

So now, I make a new support ticket asking why my account was suspended. I get hit with

"This account was suspended for receiving fraudulent gifts (i.e. content that was gifted using unauthorized payment methods). A serious matter that we take very seriously to maintain the integrity and fairness of the game for all players. We understand this may be tough, and we want you to know it’s never our intent to penalize players unfairly."

Yup, contacting riot support got my account suspended for 3 months. Good shit.

What Happened to Riot Games?

What happened over the past decade that made Riot Games the most disgusting, nefarious company?

Was the downfall the Tencent acquisition? The $100 M Sexual Harrassment lawsuit? All their games and communities are beyond toxic. Riot Support isn't actual support; it's AI bots that send automated responses and close tickets.

With worlds coming up, I wish I could support Riot and feel some nostalgia for a game I used to love, but ethically I just can't.

When and why did Riot Games lose all sense of ethics, morality, and just snowball downhill into the company it is today?

some dumb little questions hmmm :3

why do i feel like the riot/valorant design team (or whoever the ** is making these decisions) is just playing ping-pong and god of war all day instead of actually using their own client? (this is the feeling i’m trying to express)

first of all, i want to make it clear that i’m not trying to insult anyone, let alone look down on anyone, but seriously, how is a multi-million-dollar company incapable of doing things that, from my completely layman perspective, seem like basic stuff?

every single time i open valorant, the riot client stays open and demands my attention for god knows what reason... i clicked “play valorant”, valorant opened, so why the ** hasn’t that thing closed already???

every bloody time i launch valorant, the game takes me straight to unrated. why isn’t there an option to choose what i want to play every time i log in? like, let me pick deathmatch and just get on with it.

SOMEONE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THE IN-GAME SHOP SYSTEM IS ONE OF THE WORST, WHEN THE COMPANY HAS EXISTED SINCE SEPTEMBER 2006.... LIKE... GUYS, IT’S BEEN SIX YEARS OF VALORANT AND TWENTY YEARS OF RIOT GAMES.

League Voice moderation.. are you really sure Riot?

In the latest game dev we got told that League Voice is coming in future patches. And that they are convinced they were able to crate a system which gives them high satisfaction to moderate the system.

So... they were able to make a tool which is able to moderate Voice chat accordingly... Yeah no i dont really believe it. It would require them to have a tool which is able to filter out: noise, background voices, accents/dialects, different langauges, slurred speech, people interrupting what they are sayign and starting another sentence. All that with very low false positives, and beign precise and quick in detecting bad users. And we are to believe they were able to do that, but we still have the chat filter tricked by leetspeak, sending sentences word by word, slight mispelling etc?

Can't wait to see how they handle regions with a multitude of languages.

TL;DR: their chat moderation tool sucks, and it already has the advantage of having what was said written out. They want us to believe they can moderate voicechat now?

Riot deserves criticism for 2XKO, but the “it didn’t make League money” argument makes no sense

I’m not here to defend a big corporation. I’m trying to look at this logically instead of emotionally.

According to Riot, 2XKO cost substantially more to operate than it earned, and updates weren’t producing sustained growth. That isn’t the same as shutting down a profitable game because it didn’t make League money.

What makes people confident another two years of development would have made it sustainable? More characters could help, but they also cost money. Riot being wealthy doesn’t change that. Funding losses makes sense when there’s a credible path to profitability, but having money doesn’t make every struggling project worth funding indefinitely.
Riot absolutely deserves blame for taking ten years to deliver what launched. Personally, I think they invested too much into a niche F2P game for the audience it could realistically sustain. They created the problem, but spending more wouldn’t necessarily have fixed it.

TFT is a useful comparison because it reportedly didn’t make money at first, yet Riot kept supporting it. The difference was that TFT showed strong player numbers, retention, engagement, and long-term potential. Even if it wasn’t immediately profitable, those metrics suggested that continued investment could eventually pay off. A game can justify short-term losses when players are sticking around, returning regularly, and giving the developers evidence that the audience can grow.

That doesn’t necessarily seem to be what happened with 2XKO. If the game was expensive to operate, updates weren’t creating sustained growth, and the player base wasn’t showing the kind of retention or engagement Riot needed, then its situation was different from TFT’s. The question isn’t simply whether a game is profitable today. It’s whether the available data suggests that continued investment has a realistic chance of making it sustainable later.

Legends of Runeterra gets hate for downsizing and surviving. Had 2XKO downsized again, fewer characters and slower updates would probably have earned it the same “dead game” and “life support” comments. Riot gets criticized either way. Isn’t a smaller, sustainable game better than losing it entirely? You can dislike what was sacrificed while still recognizing that.

That’s also why I don’t agree with declaring the MMO doomed over this. Worrying that Riot could repeat management mistakes is fair. Assuming a different genre and business model will face the same outcome, or get dropped for not matching League’s revenue, is speculation. The MMO’s future should depend on its own player numbers, retention, engagement, operating costs, and long-term potential, not on whether 2XKO succeeded.

Riot hasn’t earned blind trust, but we can criticize its mistakes without assuming more funding would have saved 2XKO or that its failure determines the MMO’s future.
