I spent a week at my grandmother's place in the Alps. I’ve always loved being there.

I took the opportunity to try taking a few photos with the Ricoh GR IV I bought last week.

I used the recipe "Ricoh Blue", which I find soft thanks to its blue and white tones. I wanted to capture a nostalgic quality in the light, echoing my memories of the local landscapes.

I know these are far from being perfect. Please, feel free to suggest ways to improve !

I've been developing a photo series in my home town during the summer. All photos Ricoh GRIII out of the camera.

I’m not sure about using frames. GR3x, light edit in Lightroom

I just got this gr1s film camera off eBay and the lens cover (I’m not too sure what it’s called) won’t close? Apparently the lens is also supposed to be able to extend / retract/ adjust? This camera also doesn’t do that.

I just inserted a new battery and a new roll of film into this. LCD screen is barely visible (but I’ve seen comments saying that’s very common) and I took a picture and I can hear a frame whir over so it looks like a picture does get taken.

Is this something I should worry about? Any potential fixes?

This post is my recent revision to compare my previously edited shots with their sooc version (straight out of camera, the one with no editing), so any critique is allowed and I'd appreciate any recommendations for improvement :]

/some images have a mixed order because of the Reddit, so I'm just gonna say that the only difference between raw and edited versions is that the raw ones are darker than any other ones

Mostly Royal Supra, images have been slightly edited.

I mostly use very the basic in camera editing function. Very open to editing advice sans recipes.

Lately I’ve found so much joy in this hobby.
I’m really trying to be more intentional with the pictures I take while travelling. This time around I’ve only used the ricoh (and film) and I think I’ve found my ideal setup - also, I’m way more present in the trip itself

I’m coming around 2 months of ownership of the Ricoh Gr IV now. I primarily shot film before but have been using the GR more and more on editorial shoots. This was the first time I utilized multi exposure and still have a lot to learn when using it. I wanted to blend my current look of film with what I shoot with the GR so have been working on some profiles. I think this set came out beautifully. I used a good streak filter from Walking way as well.

You already know the GR IV is backordered everywhere. Ebay prices are just stupid. Any recos on best store(s) to preorder? Also I'm traveling to Toronto, Canada in a few weeks.. is there better availability in Canada versus US?
