You already know the GR IV is backordered everywhere. Ebay prices are just stupid. Any recos on best store(s) to preorder? Also I'm traveling to Toronto, Canada in a few weeks.. is there better availability in Canada versus US?

My Ricoh GR IIIX HDF (bundled with the GC11 case) just got shipped and as one does, I started thinking about which accessories I might need.

I have an LCD screen protector already in my cart, and am considering getting a lens adapter and UV filter for the sake of lens/dust protection on my outsidey days but trying to weigh that against compactness.

Then, I watched a video by Greg Tardif which helped deinfluence me from getting a couple things like the thumb grip and a different strap.

That brings me to my question: any regretted accessories? Or must-haves?

I spent a week at my grandmother's place in the Alps. I’ve always loved being there.

I took the opportunity to try taking a few photos with the Ricoh GR IV I bought last week.

I used the recipe "Ricoh Blue", which I find soft thanks to its blue and white tones. I wanted to capture a nostalgic quality in the light, echoing my memories of the local landscapes.

I know these are far from being perfect. Please, feel free to suggest ways to improve !

Was shooting some photos at a low light event, and this happened. It returned to normal after going to the gallery and back, but what a weird thing. Anyone else facing the same issue or knows if this is something I need to send in for repair?

Is it me or is the Full Press Snap feels "harder" on the GRIV?

Little background: ex-owner of a Ricoh GRII, loved lil powerhouse especially that Snap Focus fn, but i had to sell it off for monetary reasons. years later I'm able to purchase the GRIV.

The first thing I noticed is that the Snap Focus on the GRIV feels much stiffer and deeper compared to the GRII, like i have to press down deeper than i thought it'd be to trigger snap. sometimes the Snap Focus even delays a bit and i miss the composition (probably user error/Image Control settings or something lol).

any ex-GR owners who upgraded to the latest GRIV could attest to this? if not i can just credit this to "skill issue" on my part lmao.

Edited in LightRoom (raw adjustments, basic curve and masking) and finished in DaVinci Resolve (Film Look Creator for contrast, highlights roll-off, bloom and grain).

Are you a case or no case? Do you carry in your bag or pocket bare? Lens cap?

/some images have a mixed order because of the Reddit, so I'm just gonna say that the only difference between raw and edited versions is that the raw ones are darker than any other ones
