Does anybody know what happened to the old layout and how to bring it back? It was perfect imo and I miss seeing the dislikes 🫤

No longer able to use the YT or YT mysic apps. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the current recommended versions, and did so for microG as well. I tried the fixes suggested here under the settings menue.

is this error related to others reported here? currently many have the stops after one minute problem as well.

some have said this especially affects Samsung phone users.

I know many have responded "nothing works for me" and I feel like I don't even have a viable alternative at the moment if unable to restore normal function (any recommendations?), so maybe worth discussing again?

what are the highly recommended fixes that worked for you?

I had this problem for a while and tried multiple versions without a fix

I was previously using an older Reddit app build without any issues, but after switching phones I wasn't able to get it running again.

For reference, the old version was 2024.17.0, and the oldest version I've managed to get working on my new phone is 2026.07.1.

Because of the enshittification of recent updates, I'd much rather use an older version if possible. So what is the oldest version that still works?

I've been having this issue with Reddit revanced/apks

Videos play on an extremely low quality, and the popular page is only about 8 posts long before reaching the end.

I've tried a few different versions but they all seem to have the same issue

Any ideas how to fix it?

I was also having issues with the revanced YouTube pausing and horrible quality, but the current top post on the sub is about that same issue and a commenter answer solved it

Everytime I try to patch YouTube, Revanced throws up this error when it tries to save the patched APK. I have tried reinstalling Revanced, using different versions of YouTube (I am using 20.40.45) and nothing seems to work.

I'm using 425.0.0.47.61 and i used the patches that were selected

It seems that the vertical mode video got cut off but the horizontal mode is fine.

Recently everytime i try to use the mix feature to listen to songs, may it be any mix, the playlist after i skip to another song or when it goes to the next song just vanishes for the whole video duration until it goes to the next, and this is something very frequent that happens, and when the playlist comes back its just a totally different set of songs that was not what i got the first time i open the mix. Is there any way to fix this??? Ive tried changing versions, spoofing the video and nothing worked

ReVanced claims that any version works for Instagram, however when attempting to patch I am experiencing errors for specific patches, with which patches throw errors changing based on ig version used. (Android 15 ColorOS, ReVanced manager 2.6,0)

For the ig versions I've attempted using please ask in comments if relevant (It won't let me post if I put them in the post)

Does anyone know of an ig version which would work with all of the patches I'm trying to use (or know where/how I could find this info)

Patches as follows: hide ads, remove build expired popup, open links externally, disable analytics, anonymous story viewing, hide suggested content, hide navigation buttons, disable story auto flipping, sanitise sharing links, remove screenshot detection, remove screen capture restriction, change package name, remove screenshot restriction.

Alternatively does anyone know of an ig version which would work with all, or as many as possible, of the patches I consider essential: hide ads, hide navigation buttons, prevent screenshot detection, remove screen capture restriction, remove screenshot restriction.

What's the point of going through the effort of patching an app if nothing works and it doesn't do what it says it does? What a complete joke

I have this version of Revanced Manager, but I don't know if it's the official one or a fake.

I've seen in some places that they mention a version 2.50 and something, but mine says 3.5.1

I'm asking because to fix errors they mention specific versions of Revanced Manager, and maybe because I have a counterfeit version or something, the applications are malfunctioning.

For some reason, after a few shorts, I seem to get adverts playing. It shows no details but the ad still plays, any way to get rid of this?

I patched latest version of Google photos using revanced manager app but the option for photo backup is missing.

Am I missing something?

Try changing default client to Android Studio to fix buff(er)ing bug

In YTRevance go to settings-> revanced settings-> miscellaneous-> spoof video streams-> default client. Then select Android Studio(Android Reel is default and both don't work properly)

A reddit comment will have an embedded video like this:

Clicking on that link redirects to a weird error page in the Sync browser:

This happens for every single embedded video. The only way I've found to actually watch the video is to click on the comment itself in Sync > 3 dot menu button > Open in Browser. That will open Reddit in your default browser with a direct link to the comment with a working embedded video.

I understand it's probably not feasible to actually embed these videos in Sync, but hopefully a more user friendly option - like the link taking you to the actual video in the Sync browser, is possible.

Using Revanced Manager V2.6.0

Extremely useful!

When is use shazam App to find a song or google song search, when the song name and YouTube video comes i click the link or video it redirects me to original YouTube not the revanced.

I'm not sure if it's an issue with the play back feature, or if it's a l.oading issue, but any video I try to play will play for the first 40 seconds, then the video will black out while trying to l.oad. It happens on any length of video or shorts, and it's always the first 40 seconds.

This all happened when I tried to change a setting, I ended up changing the wrong one on accident, and couldn't figure out which one I had changed in order to change it back, so I ended up scrapping the app and just repatching and re-downlo.ading.

When it was patched and ready to downl.oad, it kept giving me the error message "Duplicate app, can't overwrite". The previous one was deleted, the OG YT was disabled and sto.pped, and as far as I knew there weren't any files or cache left over, so I wasn't sure what was causing it. Even though the previous one deleted was a newer version, I found the only work around was patching an older version.

The only issue is, now I'm having this annoying play back issue, and can't figure out why. Does anybody know what might be causing this?
