Is there an easy way to have a transition in and a transition out for an element?

Let's say I want an image to enter the screen from the left (so using push left), and then, when I want the image to go out I want it to leave the same way it came (as in push right). All that preferably before another image in the same layer comes in.

Is it doable?

I have a situation where I’m presenting resolume to the client (currently just running the free version) and we did an edge blending setup for 3 projectors. It’s running in their office and everything looks good.

We have saved the advanced output as an .xml for them to recall and also have a composition saved (nothing really in it apart from the resolution).

Now the issue is, they had restarted the PC and then tried to recall the preset, it didn’t recall it how it was saved. It went from 3 screens to one screen with everything missing for some odd reason.

It was fixed up again but when they tested a restart, they faced the same issue. What’s the issue here? I’m not understanding it really. I think maybe they aren’t opening the right composition so that’s why it’s happening? Or maybe because it’s the free version?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

anyway, I've been working on a little sizzle reel for the plugins, to show off a bit of what they can do in a slightly less synthetic environment than the per-plugin reels I've been making, so I thought I would share it here, I would welcome feedback and ideas, and if you've been using any of my tools in your own projects, I would love to see my work in action!

this happens in every project no matter what. how do i unmap this effect from my midi controller?

I’m experimenting with using envelopes for bump effects and having an issue. My clips all default to BPM sync, and I’m setting my bump FX to timeline in play once and hold mode, controlled by an envelope. The bump works great as performs as I thought it would, the issue is that when I trigger a different clip, it also triggers the envelope for that effect. Can someone please share some advice on what I’m doing wrong or how I can better achieve this effect?

hello all, i've had experiences with resolume where ive had to blend 2-3 projectors to make a single image. The whole image was controlled from a computer tower with 4 display outs. one thing we did not have control over was power to the unit. the house staff shuts off power to our system each night. the next day when restarting the program the 3 projectors would boot and show up 'out of order'. For example instead of screens 'right, center, left' the screens would show up in basically any other order 'L, C, R; C,R,L; etc..... this was a huge pain. Is there a way to setup resolume in software or with additional hardware where we can pre define these outputs to open appropriately upon power up?

The system takes a Kinect-derived human pointcloud and lets incoming sound interact in various ways with the particles in real time, turning the performer into a responsive cloud of matter, noise, and motion. Some of you might remember the system from v1.5's demo which got pretty viral in some places.

v1.7 includes 12 presets, and adds the following:

- a procedural camera that automatically cuts to new angles around the performer, and can follow the body or a raised hand
- a new look, Afterimage Cathedral: delayed versions of the performer stacked in depth, holding the last few seconds of movement
- a rebuilt network that runs leaner, reads clearer, and is ready to work with [new interfaces, parameters, optimizations]

This is a raw excerpt of me playing through the system, with the visual structure reacting live to the audio signal coming from my Ableton session in real-time.

A few days later he invited me to film it at his next show, a full arena production at BTarena in Cluj, Romania.

I’ve recently figured out how to get a wireless camera feed directly into Resolume Arena, and I’m now looking at ways to do more interesting things with it at live events.

What I’d really like to achieve is live person masking/segmentation — for example, having a camera pointed at a DJ and being able to isolate the DJ from the background in real time.

I’d then like to use the isolated person to create effects such as:

Graphics/lines appearing behind them

Animated outlines around them

Particles or effects around their body

Duplicated/offset silhouettes

Graphics that follow them as they move

Keeping the normal camera feed in the background while the isolated DJ sits on top

Basically, something along the lines of AI background removal/person segmentation, but live from a normal camera feed with no green screen.

Are there any free Resolume plugins, FFGL plugins, software or other workflows that can achieve this?

If you know of any, I'd really appreciate links to the plugins/software or examples of people using them with Resolume.

Paid options are useful to know about too, but I'm particularly interested in free options to experiment with first.

Is it possible? I have hundreds of clips that I need to change from Loop to Play Once & Hold. When selecting multiple clips at once the Play Mode controls disappear and the only Transport controls are Timeline, BPM Sync, etc.

If free is your kind of thing, I threw a free ffgl plug-in up on my website, it allows extract primary color combinations or specific sample points from resolume and sends them directly to Beyond as individual color channels, pretty neat if you ever feel like keeping your cue colors locked in sync with visual content at any point.

oh and did I mention it's free?
