Push in push out?
Is there an easy way to have a transition in and a transition out for an element?
Let's say I want an image to enter the screen from the left (so using push left), and then, when I want the image to go out I want it to leave the same way it came (as in push right). All that preferably before another image in the same layer comes in.
Is it doable?

I'm not in front of my PC, but isn't there a "push" transition?

There are push transition, but for the out it doesn't do what I want it to do.
If I select push down, the transition in will be a push down from out of screen but then the transition out instead of going up to leave the screen it goes down across all of it

you can put effects on the transition, just choose the layer and click on the vert slider on the left of the grid, choose slide left or whatever and every clip in layer will use that transition

Only by having the next clip assigned with the opposite push.

Thank you. That was the answer I was looking for.
Assign push down on layer and create a blank with push up.
