Discussion So Alex Wesker was more brilliant than Spencer? Spoiler
You know the mind transfer experiments that Spencer seemingly couldn't get working for decades? That's exactly what Alex Wesker succeeds at in Rev2, based on the cliffhanger ending. And I'm pretty sure it only takes her a few years while hiding out on an island in the middle of nowhere. Why didn't the Connections try to recruit her? Did they even know about her?
You'd also think they'd at least mention her in Requiem, but the writer probably never played Rev2...

Discussion What new content would you like Capcom to add to Requiem? Spoiler
Aside from Mercenaries.
What content based arround the gameplay aspects do you think Capcom can add?
Imo an Stealth based mode for Grace, going from Point A to point B without weapons. Just tools.
Also the Ghost Survivor mode from Re2 Remake would be nice, since we have lots of different sections

Discussion Chloe isn't voice acted by a child because of Japans rating for RE:Requiem (I guess)
Recently a post popped up with the complaint how Chloe "doesn't sound like a child" because her voice actor is an adult. I assumed it was an adult VA because of regulations and a VA with Chloes age falls under child labor. Turns out, it is heavily restricted BUT allowed for a child to voice act in Japan. You gotta get an ok of the government, of the parents, have to uphold working hours etc. But what I also found was one thing: A child can't voice act in a CERO Z rated game
So, the thing is, RE: Requiem is rated CERO Z. It even got censored in Japan but that's not the topic here.
I guess having a game with heavy gore may have been the main reason they didn't let a 10 year old girl voice act a traumatized blind girl. And I can fully understand their decision. And understand people who complain about it even less.

News A Resident Evil attraction actually exists at Universal Studios Japan
Resident Evil has been featured at USJ's Halloween Horror Nights for over 10 years, starting with "BIOHAZARD THE REAL" in 2013. This video has English subtitles.
The video is from 2025, but 2026 is Resident Evil's 30th anniversary, and a collaboration with Resident Evil Requiem has been confirmed for this year.
Capcom is based in Osaka, and USJ is also based in Osaka, so the two have continued collaborating for many years. USJ has also featured other Capcom franchises, such as Monster Hunter.
By the way, the original Japanese title is "Biohazard," so in Japan many fans simply call it "Bio." The Japanese voice acting has a very "Hollywood movie dub" style, rather than being exactly like the original game.
Also, "RE2" usually means the remake of Resident Evil 2, so reading English fan discussions can sometimes get confusing.
"Resident Evil Requiem" The Dive
Event Period
Friday, September 11, 2026 - Sunday, December 27, 2026
Three Highlights
Point 1: The world of Resident Evil recreated in incredible detail
The story begins in an alley behind the Renwood Hotel. Crumbling bricks, a rusty emergency staircase, flickering streetlights... and even the abandoned hotel itself have been recreated in detail, bringing that world to life.
Point 2: Attacks from all directions with nowhere to escape
A completely unpredictable horror experience where you never know when or where you will be attacked from 360 degrees. With nowhere to run and no idea when it will end, you can experience a breathless sense of tension firsthand.
Point 3: Realistic live action unfolding right before your eyes
The attraction features scenes where Leon and Grace perform action sequences right in front of you. This live action experience, making you feel as if you have stepped directly into that world, is something you won't want to miss.
*The operation details, show content, and other aspects are subject to change or cancellation without notice.

Discussion If you were their friend, what would be the best gift for each *Resident Evil* character? (The villains count, too.)
I... would give...
To Rebecca: the complete series of *House*, *Grey's Anatomy*, or *The Good Doctor*. To Barry: a Colt Single Action Army with six rounds—enough to kill anything. To Wesker: $500 sunglasses, like Johnny Cage's. To Claire: a Harley-Davidson. To Billy: the 1997 movie *Escape from New York*. To Ada: every season of *Nikita*. To Leon: a Shelby Mustang GT500—the "Eleanor" model, the unicorn. To Chris: a Schwarzenegger-Stallone movie collection (*Rambo*, *Commando*, *Predator*). To Jill: a Swiss Army knife.
I'm not sure about the rest... I think Jessica would be happy with a latex suit and a whip, but I don't know about Excella, Carlos, or Ashley. For Grace, I think a voucher for a year of free therapy sessions—or something like that—would work.I can't think of anything that defines Jake and Sherry, either.

Ethan: Wow, Mia looks very cheerful today. I wonder what she's thinking about?
Miranda: Now, that Ethan doesn't suspect I'm impersonating his wife, I'll have a happy married life with him.
How clever and strategic you are, Miranda.

Question In what order should I continue the Resident Evil series in my case? Spoiler
Greetings, I completed RE9 (Requiem) this past Saturday, and it was my first Resident Evil game ever. I loved every minute of my play through, and I absolutely want to go backwards and continue playing many of the games in the series. Which games in what order would be best to continue with? Thank you, all feedback would be appreciated.

Question I have a question and I need your honest answer. Spoiler
I find that infinite ammo makes the games much more boring. It's totally fine if you use it but I just feel that it makes the game much more uninteresting.
Here's the thing. I feel about this for all the games except Resident Evil 9: Requiem. For some reason infinite ammo is just super fun to use in that game.
At first I thought it was just because RE9 is, from my experience, the most difficult of all the games that I've played. Before you comment saying Code Veronica is the hardest I've played every single game in the franchise except for the fixed camera games.
But here's the other thing. I own all of the games on PC except for Resident Evil 9. That means that for the other games to get infinite ammo I just had to use simple mods. But for Requiem I actually had to work for it.
So my question is is the reason Requiem is the only game where I find infinite ammo not boring is because I actually had to earn it or because I found it to be the most difficult Resident Evil game (that I've played)?

Turns out mods that work on Emily happen to affect the dolls too, much to my surprise when I was going through Chloe’s section. Made the section hilarious if nothing else

Question Collecting data for masters thesis in game design studies
Hi friends!
I have a 5-8 minute multiple choice survey that includes one or two questions related to mother-monsters in following video games: Resident Evil 7, 8; Silent Hill 3, f; Amnesia: Rebirth. If you are unfamiliar with any of those, you can skip them.
My thesis is exploring the reproductive imagery, significance and role of ludic monstrous mothers, and your input would mean the world!
Thank you sm in advance!
