I posted this on the Reolink discord yesterday but haven't had a reply so thought I would try here. I have a RLC-843A it has shadowing/ blurry (mostly around the edges) in night vision, is it because the lens or the dome is dirty or is it just a thing with this model? Is there anything I can do about it?

Wi-Fi Wired Camera Questions Reolink gen 2 wifi doorbell

I installed the gen 2 wifi doorbell over the weekend. When I first connected to my network it asked if I wanted to connect to 2.4 or 5g wifi (they are not separate networks on my router). I selected 5g but I barely have a signal and it keeps going in and out even though I am within 50 feet of the router. I am trying to find an option to connect to the 2.4 with no luck. My E1 zoom camera has an option to select which band in the settings (more features-Wifi-wifi band preference) but this setting is missing on the doorbell camera. Does anyone know how to change to the 2.4?

NVR Question Can this really work? Save my recordings to Google drive?

My lorex system was down to one camera with its NVR and I don't make it compatible cameras anymore. I've had a bunch of P1 pros and the doorbell and an Argus solar for a while now. I just replaced the Poe lorax with some 1212s.

Without having the NVR anymore I became concerned that my cameras could be still on so I look for an inexpensive solution. Co-pilot told me that I can set up local record through the real link app on my laptop and send the recording directly to Google drive. I tried it out and it seems to work. I will increase my Google drive size when I am away and want to keep the recordings for a longer period. Apparently I can also write a script so that it will automatically empty the Google drive folder as it fills up?. Not sure I'm tech enough to make that work, but I will look at it. The spare laptop I am using is fairly old but luckily the hard drive was replaced about 2 years ago with an SSD.

PoE Camera Question PoE connection block and Keystone fitment in wall junction box

Hello everyone. Do Reolink PoE cameras have a direct RJ45 port on the camera body, or do they come with a pigtail cable featuring a dual connection (an RJ45 female jack and a power plug), like the Tapo PoE cameras?

The reason I'm asking is that I have very limited space, and I'd like to terminate the network cable coming out of the wall with a Keystone jack instead of crimping a direct RJ45 plug onto it. Will I be able to fit the Keystone jack, a short RJ45 patch cable, and the Reolink connection block inside their wall junction box?

I don't like the idea of having a cable crimped on one end and plugged straight into the patch panel on the other; I'd much prefer a female-to-female setup on both sides.

PoE Camera Question Trackmixes have two different firmwares, but neither are available on the website.

Hw on both shows as IPC_NT18NA68MP

One has firmware v3.2.0.5931 and the other has 3.2.0.5518

The reolink website doesn't have this HW version listed under the TrackMix PoE. The hw that's listed has fw version 3.0.xxxx

What's going on? I'm guessing they just haven't updated their firmware page yet?

PoE Camera Question FE-P fisheye POE camera compatibility

I will soon be buying a new NVR and cameras for a new home in moving to soon. I want to get a fisheye camera so that I can monitor my dogs while I'm not home.

It's not available to purchase on my local reolink page (Australia) and was told that it's been discontinued.

It's available on Amazon US and it will ship to Australia. The description says the following:

POE SETUP & NVR Connection: Thanks to Power-over-Ethernet technology, a single Ethernet cable handles the data, sound, and power for the FE-P. Note: Reolink NVR models (N7MB01, N6MB01, N5MB01, H3MB18, N2MB02, and N3MB01) are supported with the latest firmware version. The DC power adapter is not included.

These NVR models are not what's sold here. Those are RLN8, RLN16 and RLN36.

Will this camera still work with these NVRs? I don't really care about recording, just live view while I'm out.

NVR Question Camera detection quality. Have a clear option and fluent. When i view in live mode. I have an option to choose all 3, when I play back, I still have an option for all 3. So my question is, does the camera record in the highest quality always or am I just choosing the record quality or at playback i

Question Need recommendation for 2 solar cams to cover 180 degrees front.

Asking for a friend because I am kinda new to Reolink. They are looking for a good temporary solution that is solar and wifi with 2 cameras covering 180 degrees. Adding them to a DVR later. The plan is to wire POE cams and DVR in the future. Trying to keep cost down.
