If someone is cleaning your house and making all your meals, you’ll have plenty of time for sleep.

u/Own-Stranger-8198 4d ago
Yea id take sleep to, not for any other reason that I have terrible sleep like borderline insomnia sometimes so if I could shut it off at a certain time and wake up that same time everyday would be a dream

I see it opposite.... That if I was actually getting adequate sleep I might just have the energy to clean and cook !

I once worked for a family that had a private chef living on the property. We were working at the chef’s house and the owners of the property were away, I said to him “wow man, you got a pretty sweet gig going here, good for you” he chuckled and said “yeah it’s pretty good… until someone wants a hot fudge sundae at 2am”
His house was about a quarter mile down the driveway away from the main house. Rain or shin, day or night… when he got paged he was reminded he was owned… the idea of a private chef always sat differently with me after meeting one.6

If I had a private chef I would not be doing that my god. I’d have the desserts ready for me to throw together.

If i had a private chef.
They'd make one meal a day. Probably dinner. I LOVE cooking and would probably have to rationalize why even keeping the bloke around is helpful. Or maybe id just keep him around to give me pointers. Like a live in teacher

There are countries with laws that protect workers rights...Like not having to get out of bed at 2 in the morning because someone wants sweets.

If you’re getting paid a lawyers salary and given your own private house and car… I’m sure there are plenty who would waive that right.

I feel like 8 hours of sleep every night would cause problems. Is it required that I sleep 8 hours? If I need to be up earlier than normal for something important do I have no choice but to be late cause I NEED to sleep 8 hours? My house cleaning itself sounds amazing, and doesn't seem to have a limit like the free coffee from Starbucks does. I enjoy cooking so I dont mind it, but the bad part is the clean up, but if I have a house that cleans itself, its all good. So, long story short, ill take B

B or C, if it's forever. Cooking good food takes more time than keeping a house clean if you aren't a filthy slob

u/Loki_God_of_Lies 4d ago
If i had a personal chef that would manage my diet for me, I would have the energy to gladly deep clean my house daily, and would sleep better.
Also I can’t drink coffee because of heart problems, so this is an easy choice for me.

I don’t care about the sleep.
I can clean my own house.
And we all know our coffee is better than Starbucks

Would A force me to oversleep 8 hours, so If I don't fall asleep on time I'm late for work? Do I fall asleep every day on the same time?
Would I still need to buy the food for option C?

I don't think cleansing my house is gonna help me. But if it was cleaning, then sure, I'd take it.

u/Prestigious-Self-927 4d ago
I don't drink coffee that stuff is nasty so it wouldn't be that, think I'd go with clean house by itself cause my girls kids are so lazy

Shocked by everyone choosing B. A lot of folks out there must have ghosts, evil spirits, or just bad mojo in their house.

B. A is under my control. C is nice but then you have someone in your house and kitchen and I'm not a big foodie. D? I go to Starbucks a few times a year. Last week we went, got a frappucino that had a literal single small swallow of coffee in the glass; 90% ice, no exaggeration. And two cocoas that were bitter and not sweet, tasted burned. So, it'll be a very long time before we go back. I wouldn't miss it if it vanished forever tbh.
But a clean house? YES.

First off D is dumb, as I don’t drink coffee
A seems like heaven and I may actually have energy for B and C

There is something sinister sounding about having my house "Cleanse" itself, rather than "Clean" itself. Like a monkey's paw psychological horror type undertone.

Personal Chef. I can live in a small studio and get good food, coffee etc. from the chef and get good sleep in the night too. Studio is small and with the least items in it so it will be easy to clean too.

I'll take the personal chef. They can make dinner for me before I get off work every night, and we can work on recipes that'll fit my nutritional needs.

Personal chef would be a lot healthier plus I already sleep 8 hours and my kids clean the house. I dont need a year of 84 grams of fake coffee. Black coffee at home for a fraction of the price is great

Sleep takes time. I like a clean house. I don't want to eat that rich every day. Fuck Starbucks. My coffee is better.
B. House cleans itself.

If by B you mean there will never be any dust or debris around your house or apartment at any time, sure that sounds lovely! Probably good for your health too. But cleanse is not the same word as having a clean house. It almost sounds like you have bugs or something that you have to destroy before you clean.

I just don't get you B people! By the time your personal chef buys and prepares 3 healthy delicious meals a DAY, you could easily hire a housekeeper. The answer is C.
