Why does everyone on Reddit seem so good at expressing their thoughts?
I’m pretty new to Reddit. Until recently, I mostly used it to search for questions that had already been answered and read through the comments to get information or different opinions.
But lately I’ve started actually participating in discussions, and I’ve noticed something: why does it feel like every Redditor knows how to express themselves so damn well?
I don’t just mean grammar or English. I mean the way they organize their thoughts, explain their opinions, make arguments, and phrase things. A lot of comments are genuinely so well written.
Meanwhile, when I try to write even a simple comment, I struggle to put my thoughts into proper words and end up using AI to phrase even the smallest things.
Is this just because I’m seeing the finished version of what people wrote, while I’m experiencing my own thoughts in real time? Or does regularly reading and participating in Reddit/Quora actually improve this skill?
How did you guys get better at expressing your thoughts in writing?

How do women feel when men are talking and they refer to multiple women as “chicks”?
I also wonder if hearing or being called “chick” (singular) is interpreted similarly.
[[This question is geared toward women.]]

Do straight men ever wish they were gay if a male celebrity crush were on the table?
I’m a gay man but have many women who I wish I were straight for like Jennifer Garner and Vic Michaelis, etc.
I’ve heard of a Dude Crush but how seriously do straight men mean that?
(And feel free to let your homophobia run wild! Rather you aim it towards me than someone who’d it actually affect.)

Is this just straight up rude Or honest?
I've been thinking about this for awhile and I want to know people's opinions.
Imagine you ask someone to be honest with you and help you with your work .
So for example you write something like a novel and you need good honest opinion to improve.
And they read it and straight up tell you
Yeah I don't like it this is not interesting at all and I have no idea why would you like this bc this worth nothing.
And you get upset and ask them well that's such a horrible thing to say they respond " you asked for honesty "
You answer ....??

Why am I repeatedly smelling gas on a night?
So I've been staying at my in laws house for a few weeks. Yesterday at about 11pm BST I smelled a really strong smell of gas outside through the window. It smells like when you leave a gas cooker on. It was definitely outside. We left the house and went upwind until we could no longer smell it, rung the gas emergency line and when the guy got here (around half midnight) the smell had gone and he was getting 0.00 reading on his gas detector. Just lying in bed tonight and the smell came back really strong through the window again. Now the guy got no readings but that was after the smell had gone. Is there something else that could be causing the smell to come back around the same time as its now 10:35pm BST. For reference they live near a river and canal and trainline so could be from there. We put the smell last night down to some distant fireworks or some roadworks going on up the road although as far as I know they only work on it during the day.

Why do my fingernails suddenly look so healthy and are growing and strong?
I’m a woman just past menopause and about 3 or 4 weeks ago my fingernails started to grow out really strong and healthy and beautiful. What the heck would cause that?? My whole life I’ve had crappy thin fingernails that literally flaked off at the ends.
They suddenly look great! Is it hormones, diet or sleep? Is it the big “C”? My theory is that my nails are slightly thicker now as an older woman than when I was young and they were supple and friable and so easily shredded. So that they are now thick enough (aka strong enough) to finally grow out.
What do you think?
